Passive Revenue: What is It? Income you don’t trade time for money for. Income that you earn that you may not have spent time creating a product for. Can come in the form of info-products, participating in affiliate programs, expanding your own business to create mini-businesses or by packaging your services to leverage your time and expertise. Generally results from diversifying your business activities.

Why Diversify? We all have the same 24 hours in each day. To reach the next level of success, you need to create leverage. Leverage can not come from having only one business model or one source of income.
Opportunities Creating passive revenue and revenue from affiliate programs is all about seeking out opportunities. Begin looking at things from a new perspective – the perspective of wanting to create and generate income from whatever you exert energy into.
Why Aren’t More People Using Passive Revenue? People don’t realize how simple the process is. They are lacking systems to implement and build passive revenue into their business. They may feel like they don’t have an idea inside of them for an info-product.
Passive Revenue: Info-Products Ebooks, audio courses, e-courses, training videos, special reports, etc. Anything that solves a customer or client’s problem quickly and effectively. Primarily delivered digitally but you can also ship out print products and they are still considered info-products.
Info-Products System Step #1: Choose an idea / topic. Step #2: Create a pre-order sales page. Step #3: Create product/autoresponder. Step #4: Outline what you want to write about / cover.

System for Live Programs Step #4: Write three emails. One to go out immediately, one to go out a week before and one to go out the day of (last chance). Step #5: Write all required emails for the participants. A reminder email with details and individual class reminders.

Recycling What You Have Creating passive revenue isn’t about inventing a new wheel every week. Use what you have and recycle. Often, your programs that were run live and turned into self-study programs can be re-done as live programs to freshen up the content.
It’s All About the Planning Create plans. Know where you’re going and what you need to accomplish. Stick to your plans. Focus on what you have and create new only when you have a solid plan in place for your existing material.
Passive Revenue: Affiliate Programs What an affiliate program is… Refer people to a company for a commission A lot big businesses (and small businesses) have affiliate programs available Anytime you refer a product or service to someone, check to see if an affiliate program exists and SIGN UP!
Affiliate Programs: My #1 Rule Always check to see if an affiliate program exists. If it does, get on board with it. Don’t refer without checking. While you may not refer via affiliate link for friends and colleagues, do so everywhere else.
Affiliate Program: Systems Step #1: Manage your affiliate programs in a spreadsheet. List out login info, URLs and anything else you need to easily promote and use them. Step #2: Use a link shortener that tracks clicks and add these links to your spreadsheet. I use www.bit.ly .
Affiliate Program: Systems Step #3: Add links to your resources page or store if it makes sense to do so. Step #4: Use Hootsuite to preschedule an affiliate based Tweet maybe 2-3 times per week. You do not want to go overboard with this however.
