This document discusses disruptive innovation in government. It begins with an agenda that covers innovation, redefining innovation, looking at today and tomorrow, and a Q&A session. It then discusses trends in how work, intelligence, and sharing are changing today with examples like crowdsourcing, artificial intelligence as a service, and sharing economy platforms. It explores how these areas may change tomorrow through a distributed workforce, gamification, contextual applications, predictive analytics, wearables, rapid innovation in sharing, and the rise of social good startups. Finally, it provides tips for keeping up with shifting mindsets, finding an internal "A-team", experimenting like investing, measuring and adapting, and doing big things without fear.

The ideas about technology that have become lenses and points of view I return to as I try to makes sense of how things are changing, and what can be done. This is a digital world, so none of this is etched in stone. But from what I’ve seen so far, these things seem to be true.

How do we democratize data by igniting a crowd powered global movement with the aim of building a collaborative social fabric-enabling layer across diverse cultures and markets?
To do this during times of unprecedented social, economic, environmental, demographic, and political uncertainty will require us to take a bold approach and step outside of the way we normally do things.
What we need is a radical change in attitudes in the society of which we are a part. What we really need is a cultural revolution.
We're suffering from a compassion and integrity deficit. And this matters a lot more to most of us than we dare to admit.
From Hype to Impact: Applying This Year's SXSW Highlights to Business Transfo...Publicis Sapient
Three of our global thought leaders explore the most coveted topics at SXSW, practical applications to our clients’ business (and our own), and how SapientRazorfish takes these highlights from hype to reality.
Whether you were in Austin or not, top trends are not difficult to find. Which is why we’re taking it a step further. Not only have we shared our takeaways from this year’s sessions, but we've also examined how the conversations at SXSW relate to business reimagined for a connected world.
The workforce is changing. High turnover, low morale, less loyalty, rapid automation, and aggressive competition for talent. Yet, the need to have smart, focused, and motivated teams in every type of organization has never been greater. What tools do leaders now have at their disposal? Long neglected, it’s time to get back to basics and provide leadership that everyone can align with and feel excited about. This talk will re-introduce familiar, but often forgotten, concepts that can be immediately applied by participants when they return to work. This isn’t a theoretical talk, just real, proven steps to make a difference in your organization and with your people.

A presentation for public sector professionals about the benefits and risks of social media. Explains how rapid growth in technology is impacting on communication with citizens. Outlines a six-point plan for digital engagement. Gives winning tactics to mitigate risk and protect reputation/
The concept of Big data has existed for several decades now, but during the past couple of years it has become so trendy that even big data professionals can't figure out what it is and what it isn't. So am I. One part of me thinks it's nothing but a Bubble and the other thinks it's the next Big Bang. In this presentation I have chosen to put forth my views from both sides of the bridge. What do you think?
Hope you enjoy the presentation.

Networks, swarms and policy. The future of policy making in a complex systems...Alberto Cottica
Modern policy making arose in the 20th century as a series of techniques to optimise a simple system, like a machine. There are now signs that 21st century policy makers are starting to view societies and economies as a complex system instead: one of them is the adoption of network modelling by senior decision makers.
The presentation looks at some of the emerging consequences of this new world view for public policies, including a new set of policy tools for smart swarms of citizens. I conclude by trying to paint a big picture of the shift in modern policy making and the role of the state.
