Nuclear Power In Australia Essay
Nuclear power plants should be legal in Australian as they pose many advantages. Such as high money
income and cleaner power source than coal power. This essay will argue that nuclear power plants in
Australia should be legalised. Nuclear has been in use for over fifty years and provides power to thirty
two countries, manufacturing no emissions. Australia is one among the few developed countries
without nuclear energy and therefore the solely G20 nation while not it. Why is that this the case? 2
reasons: worry and politics. Safety is that the issue cited most frequently by opponents of nuclear

Qualities Of ISTJ Strengths
My personality type is logistician(ISTJ). Some generally qualities are independent, logical, loyal,
responsible, serious, organized, quiet and a rule follower etc. I found most of these qualities to be true
about myself. I like working alone and think before I act. I need to have the facts before I set my k da
to something. I m pretty loyal since I keep things to myself and people can rely on me when they need
some assistance. I am kind of quiet when I don t know where I am at or who I m going to be dealing
with. I don t like to be social and make conversations to others. I stay by myself until someone comes

I have o agree to all of these strengths ISTJ has because I can relate to all of them. There is a weakness
which I agree too as well. There s stubbornness, insensitive, judgmental and blaming themselves. I do
believe these are some of my weakness I have. I found out about ISTJ that they are given a task they
will definitely complete it. They take pride in the work they are accomplishing. ISTJ look at the facts
than rather not thinking and making a fast choice. ISTJ best career fit is a long term stable career goal.
One strong suit is being an investigator like a detective. There s the career of a coroner and criminalize

want to get in a med school to become a medical examiner. It doesn t matter if I become a coroner,
criminologist, pathologist, forensic or medical examiner. I am happy with one of these since all deal
with the dead. Life, in general, is beautiful but after that death seems like a tragedy filled with grieve.

Malic Acid Vs Inorganic Acid
An organic compound with acidic properties is called an organic acid. An inorganic acid or mineral
acid is an acid derived from one or more inorganic compounds. The reason that organic acids are
weaker than mineral acids is that organic acids do not separate completely in water, whereas strong
mineral acids do separate completely in water. Organic acids do not react with metals. Harsh mineral
acids on the other hand react forcefully with metals. Inorganic acids are derived from inorganic
compounds and mineral sources, while organic acids have a biological origin. Mineral acids do not
contain carbon and organic acids do contain carbon. Uric acid is an example of mineral acids. Uric
acid is soluble in water and is a hetero cyclic compound which is composed of the elements: carbon,
nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen. A real world example in which uric acid is used is that uric and
ascorbic acid in the human body provide over half of the antioxidant capacity in the bloodstream
which means it is very important in our lives. Oxalic acid is another example of an inorganic acid.
Oxalic acid is a colorless crystalline solid that dissolves in water and gives a colorless solution. A real
world application of oxalic acid is cleaning and bleaching agent, and is very effective in removing
rust.
Malic acid is a dicarboxylic acid that is made by all living organisms. It has a clean, mellow, smooth,
persistent sourness, so it can be used to enhance flavor and blending abilities. It contributes to the sour
taste of fruits and can also be used as a food additive. It is used for alcoholic apple ciders to maintain a
sharp taste. In wines, the malolactic fermentation improves the flavor of the wine. It is also used in
acne creams and moisturizers to remove dead skin cells and remove acne. Citric acid has a sour taste
and is greatly present in fruits such as oranges. It is also a popular ingredient in most types of candy,
especially in sour candies. It is a weak organic acid and is used as a safe cleaning product. Formic acid
is a colorless liquid with a highly pungent, penetrating odor at room temperature. Interestingly, it can
be found in the venom of ants. Lactic acid is a well known acid. It is produced from pyruvate via the

Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach the complete works
This is the volume I of the Series II. It includes sixteen sonatas. Only one of them is unaccmpaniment
flute sonata, other fifteen pieces are wind and string instruments and basso continuo. Excepts the
manuscripts and the scores, this volume also contains three useful sections which are an introduction,
Abbreviations, and the critical report. The critical report is located on the page one hundred and
twenty seven to page one hundred and forty six.
First of all, the author described the detailed information about the composed years and historic
background. Even some of the pieces is hard to track the composed year, but the author still tried to
find out the evidences to figure out the years. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The other section of the commentary report is the commentary of the scores which are collected in this
book. The commentary is arranged in a really standard form, and the comments on performance are
quite helpful to the performers. For instance, the commentary of Sonanta in B flat Major for Flute and
Basso Continu, Wq,125 is located from the page one hundred and thirty six to page one hundred and
thirty seven. In the commentary, it mainly shows the measure numbers, part of the voice, and remarks.
For Measure number, it used the number to mark each specific measure. In the part of the voice, fl
means the voice of the flute, and b.c. means the voice of the basso continuo. In the section of remarks,
it contains very detailed comments on the performance. Even it points out the version that it follows.
As I have tried out all the comments on this piece, I found that the changes make music sound more
interesting and artistic. For instance, the Sonata in B flat major for flute and Basso continuous second
movement Allegro. In the third measure, it suggests the note 2 changed from F to A. After this
changing, the melody of flute sounds more interesting. In the measure six, it suggests moving the slur
from notes 3 4 for notes 2 4. That lets the melody skip a minor third and sounds more stable in the
beginning section than the original one. In the measure twenty seven,

The United States And The Soviet Union Essay
Toronto, Canada Since the end of World War Two, the United States and the Soviet Union have
experienced a number of political clashes. From the Marshall Plan to the Korean war, to testing
nuclear weapons, and to the use of missiles, the United States and the Soviet Union have definitely
established a divide between the two empires. The growing dependence of the United States in Europe
and Great Britain has increased imperialist speculation from the USSR. However, the United States
justifies their presence though the policy of Containment, in its attempt to defend democracy. Also
since post World War Two, there has been a massive increase of arms in both the Soviet Union and the
United States. From the booming economy of the war and the devastating atomic bombs in Hiroshima
and Nagasaki, the United States became a global superpower. The need for efficient nuclear weapons
suddenly became an obsession. In 1952, the USSR managed to develop their own Atomic bomb,
which threatened the position of the United States. And from there an arms race began. The use of
nuclear weapons is an extreme that neither empire wishes to reach, however, the public is not certain.
The Red Scare is very prevalent in the United States, especially with allegations of Soviet infiltration
in the government from Senator McCarthy. As a result, a fear of espionage has risen. Politicians and
the general public has internalized the fear of espionage to the extent that propaganda has been
released and

Travel Agency Supply Chain Essay
Supply Chain in the Travel Industry The travel industry is an industry that is in constant change. It is
the type of industry that must change with the times, including how it conducts business, how it sells
its products and services, and how each link of their supply chain works and connects with the rest of
the chain. While each brick and mortar location and travel website are similar to their counter parts,
each one has a varying supply chain they use in order to get their product and services to the customer.
We will take a look at how a brick and mortar travel agency uses its supply chain, and how changing
to a website location can and will affect their supply chain.

finding locations to rent for their offices, as well as places to purchase their office furniture and

this problem that Cornell turned the mondo into a seminar, which encourage workers to speak out for

The poem I selected was My mistress eyes are nothing like the sun written by William Shakespeare.
The form of this poem is a sonnet, which consists of fourteen lines and its rhythm is iambic

unstressed syllable. For example, in line 2 of the poem: Coral | is far | more red | than her | lips red .
This poem is specifically written in true English sonnet or Shakespearean sonnet form because it

Milton Friedman s Philosophy, Consumption Analysis, And...
Milton Friedman was a respected economist that posited numerous new ideologies within the
economic realm during the 20th century. In 1976, Friedman was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in
Economic Sciences for his examination of monetary history and philosophy, consumption analysis,
and the theory of stabilization policy. Another theme Friedman is generally known for is his position
with respect to the responsibilities of corporations. He had expressed that few trends could so
thoroughly undermine the very foundations of our free society as the acceptance by corporate officials
of a social responsibility other than to make as much money for their stockholders as possible
(Chandler and Werther Jr., 2014, p. xxxii). By this, Friedman is saying that maximization of property
for the sake of shareholder return jeopardizes and subverts the possibility of corporations acting
ethically and socially responsibly. He does not trust that their fundamental center inside their
operations ought to be focused on the part of corporate social obligation. Not at all like individuals,
Friedman trusts that an organization cannot have an obligation. They have one obligation and that is to
make a profit (Friedman, 2013). No we will look at the different balances, counterbalances, and
threats to social corporate responsibility. These elements, based off their motivation, can be ordered
into two or three distinct gatherings, which are revenue driven associations, not for profits, and
governments.

Effects Of Political Corruption In Nigeria
Political corruption is a significant problem in Africa. Many of the regions in Africa were seeking for
independence from European nations that had caused for political views to differ. The ideas of leaders
were not all similar which may have created a majority of these countries in Africa to express their
feelings and form their own political parties. Besides wanting to be freed from European rule, the rise
of political corruption could also be faulted to the African leaders of different regions of Africa to
voice their own beliefs with the determination that it lacked unifying the nation s overall.

The transformation of politics in Nigeria fell into the trap of military rule that caused for chaos to
occur across the country. Colonial chiefs were taking positions in office which they were not qualified
for and used force and bribery to win over the people of Nigeria. The idea that Nigeria was being set
up in this form of government was misleading and did not let the people feel as though they were
independent. Regional leaders were seeking to take over local politics of this country and were able to
do so when it came to the national and local elections. When Nigeria, revamped their constitution in
the 1950s, which divided Nigeria into three different regions caused a fight to see who would control
the political party. Nigeria located in West Africa is made up of three separate cultures in the area that
lead to disunity and issues with the government. The Hausa Fulani in the north, the Yoruba in the
west, and Ibo in the east. Amongst these cultures, they started to form their political parties. There was
the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons, the Action Group and Northern People s
Congress. The British should be held responsible for encouraging these groups to compete against one
another. The British were responsible for favoring other political parties over others that would help
create cockiness to development in the long run. The British mostly supported the N.C.N.C and

The Comparison Between Miss Brill And Evelyn And Miss Austen
The comparison between the protagonist Miss Brill and Evelyn:
In the short story Miss Brill by Mansfield the protagonist is holding onto the past. She has delusions of
what her life once was, and tries to look at the presence. However, in the short story Eveline, by Joyce,
Eveline the protagonist is trying to hold onto the future and deny the past. Both characters, however,
in the end, lose hold of their fantasies and have to face reality. Miss Brill learns of her delusion when
she is out at the park listening to the band play music. She imagines herself as being young and
desired. The writer Mayfield uses her fur as a symbolism of her beauty and youth. While Miss Brill is
sitting at the park, she imagines a life where everyone is happy and joyous. She dreams that everyone
is on stage performing. Unfortunately, a young couple comes and sits next to her and degrades her fur
and disrespects her. This astonished behavior makes Miss Brill have to face reality. She realizes that
she is not the young woman Miss Brill so wishes to hold onto, but the old lady that she fears to live.
Miss Brill is so upset about this resolution that Miss Brill leaves the park and walks home skipping her
routine of stopping at the bakery and getting her Sunday treat. She walks back to a place that she calls
a cupboard. This symbolism is a dark and isolated room, expressing that a home Miss Brill is alone
and sad. When Miss Brill gets home, she grabs the box for her fur and puts the coat back

Butterfly Circus is a 20 minute dramatic short film which is a testament to the power of hope and faith

and hope conquers all. It can be viewed as a religious film but need not be. If you believe in yourself,
you will be saved.

Rather than raise the issue of racism the film makers have chosen to use Will as a symbol of those
who may not fit in those who do not feel they have a purpose in life. Racism is a non issue when
people respect themselves and others.
Topic
The topic of those marginalized can be discussed within the context of current society. Will believes
he is the man even God has turned his back on in his physical limitations. While touring with the
Butterfly Circus Will realizes he can overcome his physical disabilities and swim it is through this
baptism by water, the very act of swimming, he is reborn and realizes his potential. The caterpillar

Cultural
The culture of American society during the Great Depression can be examined. The hopelessness and
loss of innocence is an excellent teaching opportunity to discuss what exactly defines a person. How
would the students handle the loss of their money, jobs and their homes? The culture of those
marginalized and important societal norms within the can also be examined. Are disabled people more
respected in certain societies? Does Will consider himself disabled by the end of the film? The culture
of the group vs the individual, man vs. society as larger issues can also be developed as topics along
with the theme of hope and rebirth . Do most teenagers feels there is hope in the world?

Hurston s Sweat By Zora Neale Hurston
Oh well, whatever goes over the Devil s back, is got to come under his belly. Sometime or ruther,
Sykes, like everybody else, is gointer reap his sowing said Delia Jones (Hurston 1024). This belief
comes true for Delia Jones in a short story Sweat by Zora Neale Hurston. In this story Sweat Hurston
illustrates the obnoxious life of a religious African American woman, Delia who continually suffers
from oppression by her wicked husband, Sykes and explored the struggle between good (Delia) and
evil (Sykes). Fortunately, at the end all the misdeeds of Sykes results in his death by being trapped in
his own tactic to scare Delia with a rattlesnake. The story reveals a sense of revenge ignited in a
desperate life of Delia because of Sykes oppression, which eventually led her to live an independent
life.
From the beginning of the story, Delia s relationship with Sykes is unusual with lots of conflicts and a
sense of revenge. Hurston has characterized Delia as a hard working wash woman who works
diligently to support her family. On the other hand, Sykes is reckless person who has failed to provide
for his family. Although, Sykes does not have a pinch of feelings for Delia, she has been bearing his
mistreatment for fifteen years. Once on a Sunday night at eleven o clock, Delia was sorting clothes
that she collected on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sykes enters and scares her with a bullwhip which looks
like a snake. He even kicks the pile of clothes and puts his dirty feet on white

Furious Five Of Econometrics Essay
The Furious Five of Econometrics Introduction A good inquiry into any economic problem today will
likely entail some form of statistical analysis. It is therefore, not surprising to note that the typical
undergraduate curriculum in economics includes a course in econometrics or statistics. There are two
main reasons for this occurrence. First, the improvement in technology and sheer computing power
over the last two decades has enabled us to handle more and more data in less and less time. Back in
the 1960s and 1970s, econometricians used electromechanical desk calculators to churn out
regressions outputs, which may take up to a day for a single regression. Today, the opportunity cost of
not capitalizing on this toolbox is immense and simply cannot be overlooked. Second, economists,
unlike their natural scientists counterparts, do not have the luxury of conducting experiments in
laboratories under suitably calibrated environments to discern causal relationships between different
variables. Cause of effect relationships of policies and human behaviour in different societies and
economies are often vastly complex and intertwined. Large scale social experiments involving people
are, in general, infeasible to conduct due to budgetary, logistical and ethical reasons. Therefore,
economists look to applied statistics and adopt different approaches to rigorously analyse otherwise
incomprehensible problems. Joshua Angrist of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Jörn Steffen

Geological Hazards of Missouri Although many may not consider Missouri to be a hot spot of
geological related natural disasters, there are multiple geological hazards which occur throughout the
state. According to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Geological Survey Program, the
hazards most often occurring in Missouri are earthquakes, landslides, sinkholes and abandoned mines

Similar to a cave, a sinkhole begins by acidic water dissolving carbonate bedrock creating an
underground void. If the void grows close enough to the surface, the structural integrity of the surface
material will eventually give way and a sinkhole is formed. These depressions can range in size from a
few square yards to over hundreds of acres. The depth of sinkholes can vary from shallow to hundreds
of feet. Although there are nearly 16,000 verified sinkholes in the state, the MGS caution there are a
great number which have not been reported or documented. Some sinkholes in Missouri are known to
be a depth greater than 100 feet though no exact records concerning depths are maintained. Located in
western Boone County, the largest known sinkhole in Missouri covers approximately 700 acres. If a
sinkhole does occur, it is recommended that a registered geologist or professional engineer be
consulted to assist in the stabilization of the sinkhole. Filling a sinkhole, referred to as remediation,
generally consists of removing all soil materials down to the bedrock surface and filling it with size
graded material. Larger rocks should be used first with each successive layer consisting of gradually
smaller grained material. Geotextile fabric covered by top soil will allow water

What does it mean to you to be a black girl? If you aren t one, what do you see when you visualize a

average black girls have chained us all to the earlier listed attributes. One side effect of this dangerous
connection is the wide opening for a new form of discrimination it creates. Whether it is depicted

times where a dislike in rap music categorizes you as not really black, segregation within black

Fallacies Of The New York Times Website
It would be difficult to find any two individuals on the planet who are able to agree on everything.
Because of this, there are many different issues in which any two people are going to fail to see eye to
eye on. Differing viewpoints lead to arguments that are created by people in order to argue their
points. While some arguments that are created are based in fact, some arguments are based upon false
assumptions and trickery, with these unsound arguments being known as fallacies. A study of fallacies
reveal the true nature of false arguments, and better equips an individual to identify invalid arguments.
Argument with Fallacies The Ebola virus is in danger of spreading rapidly in the United States. A
report on the New York Times website, written by Kevin Sack, has revealed the fact that Ebola has
spread from person to person at a Texas hospital. In order to protect the citizens of the United States, a
prompt and quick lock down of the entire state of Texas in needed and necessary in order to protect
the United States. Since Ebola has officially been confirmed to have spread from one person to
another in Texas, it can be assumed that the conditions exist in Texas that allow the spread of the virus
to occur. There must be something particular to Texas that allows the virus to gain strength, and jump
from person to person. It can only be assumed that the unique environment in Texas is one where
Ebola has the ability to survive and thrive. If it is not the environment in

My First Drink
Chapter One
It has been about month since I had my first drink ever. It was also Cairo s first time having a drink,
but she handled it much better than I did. I don t remember what happened after my first four drinks. I
do remember waiting up in a guestroom though, stripped to my panties and bra.
Aidan. I can hear Haley call. I wish I wasn t awake, but I ve been sick for a day. I have managed to
keep it a secret from Al, Aidan, Haley, Paul, and Sebby though. Al! comes next and then my name,

make my way into the kitchen.
Today is Christmas Eve, I realize as I nod and pour myself a cup of coffee. I add a tiny bit of milk into
the coffee before sipping it. What normally tastes good to me now tastes like absolute shit. I do my
best to keep bile from coming up, and I do a good job, since Mom doesn t realize I m feeling sick. I
finish my coffee before reaching for my cell phone. I notice that I have gotten a text from my
girlfriend, Cairo.
Cairo Cabot: Hey Baby, I was wondering, do you want to come over to my house today? Before

The Follower Problem
Are you the type of person to make decisions based off of the group you re involved with, or do you
go your own way and make your own decisions? Whether being involved in a group, or you tend to be
a follower, those certain things have a bigger influence on how someone acts, compared to individual
human views, that can be founded off of social psychology. Being involved with the group, has the
biggest impact on how people choose to obey or disobey certain actions because of the societal
pressure, family and religious backgrounds, and having the fear of not fitting in, or conforming.
Societal pressures have an impact on how a person can think or act. As Lee Ross author of obedience
once said, people s inflated belief in the importance of personality traits and disposition, together with
their failure to recognize the importance of situational factors in affecting behavior (Ross, 628). The
follower problem, a book written by David brooks makes the statement these days many Americans
seem incapable of thinking for themselves (Brooks, 650). Doris Lessing a claim how often we d say

the group opinion from societal pressures, family and religious backgrounds, to having the fear of not

the abilities an individual can have. I see this everyday in society, whether I m at school observing

played by Will Smith and his character is named Del Spooner. There seems to be something odd even
in the beginning of the film almost a lack of trust. Detective Del Spooner is later to be revealed as
being paranoid by everyone around him. The problem is that he feels alone in his prejudice towards
technology, particular robots. There are tons of paranoia in our current society that runs along the

The solution on the overreliance of technology dwells within our humanity. Will Smith s character
states to Sonny, You are just a machine. An imitation of life. Can a robot write a symphony? Can a

Our current culture seems to be making robots more human and humans more robotic. Asimo made by
Honda displays some amazing feats such as running, walking up stairs and playing the violin (Honda,
2016). There seems to be a battle between our humanity and intellect. For example, the internet or a

What Is The Source Of Injustice In The Prince And The Pauper
In The Prince and the Pauper the main source of injustice is from the monarchy that was controlled by
King Henry VIII during 15th century England. Tom Canty and Edward Tudor( the prince) trade cloths
and then released they looked very similar. They decided to trade places because they thought that
they each had what the other wanted. They were separated while Tom Canty was posing as prince the
king died and this put Tom Canty in power. The king has ruled a monarch based on the belief of divine
right. Divine right is when a blood line considered godly by a group of people therefore that blood line
can do what ever they want because God has given the there blessing. There are several characters that
rise above the limits of there society to change it for the better. Tom Canty is one of the best examples
of a character that rises above his society to better the people around him. The first example of this is
when he refuses to beg he is better for it by his father but begging is agent the law. When he is posing
as the king he pardons many people of crimes that they were unjustly charged with. He is also very
honest about knot being the king even though know one believes him. When the real king shows up he
gives him his title back. Toms honest and resilience are his main characteristics that help him rise

Synthetic Dye Research Paper
Look down at your lap.
Are you wearing jeans?
Even if you re still in sweatpants, I m willing to bet you ve got a few pairs of denim nearby, right?
With so many jeans walking around today, it s easy to forget that their classic indigo color is actually
rare in nature. And while modern synthetic dyes have made this deep blue a common color, it wasn t
always so.
In fact, for centuries, in part because of its rarity, people across cultures and religions went totally
bonkers for indigo.
Demand for the color sparked trade wars, fueled Trans Atlantic slavery, and for a time the dye was
actually used as straight up currency.
The indigo craze probably even influenced Newton s original color wheel, even though most color
specialists no longer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eventually the liquid was drained, mixed with lye, molded into cakes, dried, and pounded into
powder.
Dyers could then mix that powder with water and other substances in soaking vats to get the exact
purpley blue shade they wanted.
India probably cultivated the original commercial supply of Old World indigo that worked it s way
around European trade routes during the Greco Roman era.
The so called blue gold later became culturally important and highly desired throughout Europe,
Japan, and West Africa, before eventually making it s way to the American colonies, where its
cultivation and trade helped fund the Revolutionary War effort.
Around the turn of 20th century synthetic indigo dye came on scene and decimated the natural dye
market. Today most commercial operations use the synthetic indigo, although environmental concerns
have reignited an interest in natural, sustainable dyes.
Okay, so what does any of this have to do with Newton, you ask?
Well, you may recall that in the mid 17th century, apple loving Isaac discovered the visible spectrum

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP My hand absentmindedly hit the nightstand

dismay, I miscalculated my distance from the edge and my idea did not go as planned. To say the least,
I immediately began considering carpeting the bedroom floor. I sleepily made my way to the kitchen,
using precautionary methods to avoid any mirrors this early in the morning. The moment I stepped

the sound of our forks against our plates, but that was short lived. So what s the plan for today? I

Genghis Khan Number One Conqueror Essay
Have you ever wondered who the number one conqueror in history is? I know as a fact that a lot of
people don t even ask that question but, this essay will discuss how I believe Genghis Khan is the
number one conqueror in history. As my reasoning, I support the idea that Genghis Khan is the
number one conqueror in history because, compared to other leaders and empires; Genghis Khans
army or the Mongol Empire has conquered exceedingly more, not only did he subjugate more land he
on average took less time to occupy the land than others, and he and his empire has maintained their
land over a longer period than others.
First and foremost, Genghis Khan has vanquished approximately 12.5 million square Km, which is,
inferiorly further than what other conquerors have overcome. In comparison, Alexander the Great has
seized 5.6 million square Km, while as said earlier, Genghis Khan invaded double than what

would use scare tactics to suppress any incoming revolts against him and his empire. As another
reason to how they lasted for 200 years is that, Genghis gave birth to many offspring in which he
taught them his great tactics of war causing the next heir to be knowledgeable and can control the
massive Empire. Sadly though, after those 200 years China took back their Empire causing the start of
the fall of the Mongol Empire.
As a conclusion, this essay is to bring proof that Genghis Khan is the number one conqueror in
history. With prominent facts, such as, the largest rein of land, least time consumption of conquering,
and the longest lasting Empire. I hope you can also conclude that Genghis Khan is the number one

Macy and Problems
I picked Macy s for my company it was founded in 1843 and 1855 the original Macy s store is in

accessories, bedding, furniture, jewelry, beauty products, and housewares. Macy s has a couple issues,
but the biggest one is the dependence on the US economy for its revenue generation, while a few of
their competitors, such as The Gap and Wal Mart Stores get a lot of their revenue from other countries,
also a lot of customers are not really buying a lot of items in the malls and are doing a lot of internet
shopping for Christmas. The use of research would really help Macy s if they researched better ways

Examples Of Sentences
Just how do we start that perfect sentence? It can be a tough decision. Sentence beginnings are like
first impressions, and we want to make sure they re right. And while there s no single correct way to
start a sentence, we need to vary them to ensure our writing doesn t get stale or boring.
So, what makes a bad sentence beginning anyway? Are there rules? Well, no, but let s look at some
examples of how repeated simple sentence openings can become stilted and tough to read. For
example:
John went to the store. Anthony went with him. They bought food and drinks. They bought flowers for
John s mother. The man at the cash register smiled at them and gave them a discount. They returned
home and put away the groceries.
What do all these sentence beginnings have in common? As we can see, each one consists of a noun
followed by a verb. Unfortunately, these simple sentences quickly become boring, decreasing the
impact of our writing. Let s see what happens when we vary them a bit. ... Show more content on

Smiling, the man at the cash register gave them a discount. Returning home, the two put the groceries

See how much better this flows? Here, we ve left the simple noun verb structure for the first sentence,
but, in the second, we ve used smiling as a participial or transitional word. And in the third, we ve
emphasized the action of returning home, rather than the two boys.
Let s look at some other ways to rearrange simple sentence beginnings (e.g. common noun verb
constructions) and add some variety to our work. Remember, our goal here is not only to minimize the
use of simple sentence openings it s to become better writers!

The Issue Of Bargaining Over Position
Negotiation is part of everyday life, and we use it to get something that we want from other people.
The problem that Roger Fisher and William Ury refer to is the issue of bargaining over position. When
we argue over positions, it produces undesirable outcomes. In negotiations, people tend to pay
attention to the position, and not the underlying concerns of both parties. This is not only inefficient,
but it can also lead to strained relationships between two parties. Getting to Yes: Negotiating
Agreement Without Giving In by Fisher and Ury is a step by step guide to negotiating using a method
known as principled negotiations. In principled negotiation, you and the other party are seen as the
problem solvers rather than adversaries. The goal of principled negotiation is always to reach an
outcome efficiently and amicably.
The Method
Every negotiation will involve people, and Fisher and Ury make it very clear that people are not
perfect. While some may be good communicators, others may not be good listeners on the receiving
end. We have our own interests and goals, in which we tend to see from our point of view. According
to Fisher and Ury, the first step to a successful negotiation is to separate the people from the problem.
The most common human problem that we face tends to be perception, emotion and communication.
To prevent these problems from happening, the authors suggest that we build a working relationship
and focus on the problem itself, not the

Fashion or Textile Designers and History
To what extent have fashion/textile designers working over the last thirty years used historical sources
to inform their practice?
History offers invaluable inspiration for contemporary designers, helping to develop and inform ideas.
Exploration of history creates a context to work within and build concepts from, helping to add value
and vigour. In this essay I will explore and explain how designers have used the past to inform their
work, whether an expression of political, social, or traditional opinions. I will particularly focus on
Alexander McQueen s political approach, and how he addresses his ancestral history. I will also look
at Vivienne Westwood s work and how it challenges but also commemorates tradition. Next, I will
study Cath Kidston s play on vintage and how she evokes nostalgia.
Vivienne Westwood
Westwood s epoch began all about rebellion and confrontation. Along with her partner Malcolm
McLaren, they opened their first shop Let it Rock in 1971 (Price 2014), in which they made and sold
Teddy boy style clothes a rebellion against the popular hippie fashion that lingered on from the late
sixties. We can see her use of historical inspiration, using the rock and roll character to oppose the
carefree, light hearted hippie influence. In a time of recession and mass youth unemployment, she
used her divergent rock fashions to prompt the younger generations to challenge blithe fashions and
confront politics and the hypocrisy of British tradition and good

Sir Christopher Wren s design of St. Paul s Cathedral, is not only the largest cathedral in England, but
one of the most significant stylistically architectural combinations into English Architecture.
After the Great Fire, parts of the remains of Old St Paul s were patched up as a temporary cathedral.
The structure, however, was in a very bad shape, and in May 1668, after a fall of the remains of the
building materials fell; Wren was asked to submit proposals for a new cathedral. Wren s first proposal,
The First Model , was quickly neglected, because it was said to be too modest. His second proposal
was a mimic of the Greek cross. It was a classical style of the Italian Renaissance, it was centrally
planned, and the main interior space was set beneath an enormous dome, and auxiliary spaces were
located around the sides. But the clergy, who were only familiar with cathedrals whose designs, were
Romanesque or Gothic, and were not familiar to classical architecture in his design, quickly through
out the new design. His third design, The Warrant Design , was still classical architecture, but it was
based on the criticisms of the Greek cross design. The plan was longitudinal, the nave and choir were
bordered by lower aisles, and the towers and spire suggested the shape of medieval England. This
design was approved by King Charles II, but Wren

Psychological Operations During Operation Desert Storm
The uses of Information Operations during Operation Desert Storm, specifically Psychological
Operations were used to influence the enemy s moral as well as influence the way the enemy
approached the coalition forces. What was important during these operations was the way the enemy

theatrical entertainment of the Alekseyev family only fueled Stanislavsky s pursuits. Sergei
Vladimirovich Alekseyev, Stanislavsky s father, converted multiple buildings on his family s estate

Named The Alekseyev Circle, this family owned theatre is where Stanislavsky would make his acting

How Social Class Affects Health
All over the world status hierarchy and social class are a common concept of how well we live our
lives, however they affect our lives more than we think. Social class can affect many things such as
education, opportunities presented to us, economic factors, and even our health. Recently
socioeconomic status effects on health has become a more popular topic of discussion but is nothing
new to researchers. Research on socioeconomic inequalities in health in the UK has a long history. In
the early part of the 20th century the British government introduced questions on occupation in the
decennial census. This allowed researchers to examine health outcomes by social class. (Knott, Dr
Laurence). Researchers have discovered social class can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Social class is determined by many things such as status, culture, employment, background, and
wealth, along with other factors. Being in a certain class affects your health and even the type of
health care you receive. Males in a higher social class live on average 9 years longer than males in
more deprived areas or lower social classes and are in good health for 85 percent of their lives
compared to 70 percent (Knott, Dr Laurence..). I believe social class affects health because of things
such as living conditions, lack of resources for health care and education, and that lower class people
prefer and are fine with less healthy lifestyles. People in higher classes are usually very successful and
motivated in most aspect of life while people in lower classes may not be. I don t think there is much
we can do to resolve this problem as most of these problems are dependent on each person s life
choices and not much will change if we cannot fix this problem. Why social class has such a big on
health will always be a question and I dont think theres an exact answer for it.
There are believed to be many reason why social class affects health. One of these reasons are the bad
habits or addictions that are associated with the lower class. One of the biggest habits or addictions
most commonly associated with the lower class is smoking. An article from the Journal of Health Care
for the Poor and Underserved (Levinson, Arnold H. )Is

Should Human Cloning Be Allowed In The USA
My topic was that I researched was Should Human Cloning be Allowed in the USA. I am for this
because it can be a medical breakthrough. I am for it because it can cure many things the people
struggle with every day. For example, I will talk about how people die from cancer and how we can
stop it. And I will also be talking about how cloning can make transplants and saves even more
people. And how human cloning can be bad and how it can affect us in the real world and how it can
affect our supplies on this world.
For example, Simon Smith from the article The Benefits of Human Cloning say, Skin for burn victims,
brain cells for the brain damaged, spinal cord cells for quadriplegics and paraplegics, hearts, lungs,
livers, and kidneys could be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

we won t need any rules or anything. People don t see how the clone can destroy the world as it is.
Many people just see the pros of human cloning. Many people only see the good because that s all
anyone talks about. They never go over how new things can hurt you. For example, Many people
thought that that hover board as the best thing to ever come out. But as soon as people started to buy
them, they started to blow up on people. I m not saying that that they are bad, but we should be a little

What Is Taboo
Taboo: A Taboo is essentially anything that is considered to be immoral or wrong by the norms of
society.
What is a Taboo? A taboo is anything that is forbidden or frowned upon as per society norms.
Anything that may be considered immoral or wrong by society is essentially said to be taboo. The
taboos may be based in cultural or moral beliefs; things that we generally consider as wrong, such as
adultery, theft, murder or cannibalism. There are also a number of taboos that maybe influenced by
religion; for example, many religions consider being gay as taboo or some religions prohibit eating

Also it is also taboo to get married without nikah. Or to get married more than one wife. The word,
taboo is derived from the Tongan tapu or Fijian tabu . The Tongan, tapu means, consecrated,

forbidden. boos vary over different societies, cultures, religions, etc. Something that may be accepted
in one culture or society, may be taboo is another. For example: Most societies consider eating dogs as
taboo, whereas there are certain regions in East Asia, where dog meat is considered a delicacy.
Most religions have their own set of taboos. These taboos become generalized in cultures, where that
religion is predominant. For example: In Hinduism, it is taboo to eat cattle. Hence, in India, where
Hinduism is predominant, cattle meat is not easily available. Once, it was impossible to find cattle

Examples Of Why You Cant Repeat The Past In The Great Gatsby
In the book The Great Gatsby Nick tells Gatsby you can t repeat the past gatsby responds with Why of
course you can! I believe gatsby is wrong in this situation. The Great Gatsby does a very good job in
showing us that gatsby is wrong in many different ways and examples. There are also many real life
that can be used as examples to Gatsby being wrong. Also in life and in the book there are
opportunities where you can repeat the past in a good or bad way. My first example of why you can t
repeat the past is in life emotional states change everyday. In this book you can see that Gatsby and
Daisy are not the same people they were 5 years before when they fell in love. Gatsby is so in love
with daisy that he is blind to the truth that they aren t the same they once were neither of them. An
example of this being true is Gatsby and I in turn leaned down and took the small reluctant hand.
Afterword he kept looking at the child with surprise. I don t think he had ever really believed in its
existence before. (117 Fitzgerald) This shows that Daisy has had a child, which completely changes
someone.Gatsby cannot change such a thing, and nothing will ever be the same no matter how much
he wants it to be as it once was. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

do what you can to repeat what once happened. Sometimes it happens unintentionally and sometimes
it happens exactly how you want it. In Gatsby s case he truly believes he can repeat what he once had

Abstinence Of Sexual Education

an integral part of living a happy, healthy life and can prevent from the spread of numerous sexually

  • 4. Malic Acid Vs Inorganic Acid An organic compound with acidic properties is called an organic acid. An inorganic acid or mineral acid is an acid derived from one or more inorganic compounds. The reason that organic acids are weaker than mineral acids is that organic acids do not separate completely in water, whereas strong mineral acids do separate completely in water. Organic acids do not react with metals. Harsh mineral acids on the other hand react forcefully with metals. Inorganic acids are derived from inorganic compounds and mineral sources, while organic acids have a biological origin. Mineral acids do not contain carbon and organic acids do contain carbon. Uric acid is an example of mineral acids. Uric acid is soluble in water and is a hetero cyclic compound which is composed of the elements: carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen. A real world example in which uric acid is used is that uric and ascorbic acid in the human body provide over half of the antioxidant capacity in the bloodstream which means it is very important in our lives. Oxalic acid is another example of an inorganic acid. Oxalic acid is a colorless crystalline solid that dissolves in water and gives a colorless solution. A real world application of oxalic acid is cleaning and bleaching agent, and is very effective in removing rust. Malic acid is a dicarboxylic acid that is made by all living organisms. It has a clean, mellow, smooth, persistent sourness, so it can be used to enhance flavor and blending abilities. It contributes to the sour taste of fruits and can also be used as a food additive. It is used for alcoholic apple ciders to maintain a sharp taste. In wines, the malolactic fermentation improves the flavor of the wine. It is also used in acne creams and moisturizers to remove dead skin cells and remove acne. Citric acid has a sour taste and is greatly present in fruits such as oranges. It is also a popular ingredient in most types of candy, especially in sour candies. It is a weak organic acid and is used as a safe cleaning product. Formic acid is a colorless liquid with a highly pungent, penetrating odor at room temperature. Interestingly, it can be found in the venom of ants. Lactic acid is a well known acid. In the commentary, it mainly shows the measure numbers, part of the voice, and remarks. For Measure number, it used the number to mark each specific measure. In the part of the voice, fl means the voice of the flute, and b.c. means the voice of the basso continuo. In the section of remarks, it contains very detailed comments on the performance. Even it points out the version that it follows. As I have tried out all the comments on this piece, I found that the changes make music sound more interesting and artistic. For instance, the Sonata in B flat major for flute and Basso continuous second movement Allegro. In the third measure, it suggests the note 2 changed from F to A. After this changing, the melody of flute sounds more interesting. In the measure six, it suggests moving the slur from notes 3 4 for notes 2 4. Another theme Friedman is generally known for is his position with respect to the responsibilities of corporations. He had expressed that few trends could so thoroughly undermine the very foundations of our free society as the acceptance by corporate officials of a social responsibility other than to make as much money for their stockholders as possible (Chandler and Werther Jr., 2014, p. xxxii). By this, Friedman is saying that maximization of property for the sake of shareholder return jeopardizes and subverts the possibility of corporations acting ethically and socially responsibly. He does not trust that their fundamental center inside their operations ought to be focused on the part of corporate social obligation. • 16. Furious Five Of Econometrics Essay The Furious Five of Econometrics Introduction A good inquiry into any economic problem today will likely entail some form of statistical analysis. It is therefore, not surprising to note that the typical undergraduate curriculum in economics includes a course in econometrics or statistics. There are two main reasons for this occurrence. First, the improvement in technology and sheer computing power over the last two decades has enabled us to handle more and more data in less and less time. Back in the 1960s and 1970s, econometricians used electromechanical desk calculators to churn out regressions outputs, which may take up to a day for a single regression. Today, the opportunity cost of not capitalizing on this toolbox is immense and simply cannot be overlooked. Second, economists, unlike their natural scientists counterparts, do not have the luxury of conducting experiments in laboratories under suitably calibrated environments to discern causal relationships between different variables. Cause of effect relationships of policies and human behaviour in different societies and economies are often vastly complex and intertwined. Large scale social experiments involving people are, in general, infeasible to conduct due to budgetary, logistical and ethical reasons. Therefore, economists look to applied statistics and adopt different approaches to rigorously analyse otherwise incomprehensible problems. Whether being involved in a group, or you tend to be a follower, those certain things have a bigger influence on how someone acts, compared to individual human views, that can be founded off of social psychology. Being involved with the group, has the biggest impact on how people choose to obey or disobey certain actions because of the societal pressure, family and religious backgrounds, and having the fear of not fitting in, or conforming. Societal pressures have an impact on how a person can think or act. As Lee Ross author of obedience once said, people s inflated belief in the importance of personality traits and disposition, together with their failure to recognize the importance of situational factors in affecting behavior (Ross, 628). With so many jeans walking around today, it s easy to forget that their classic indigo color is actually rare in nature. And while modern synthetic dyes have made this deep blue a common color, it wasn t always so. In fact, for centuries, in part because of its rarity, people across cultures and religions went totally bonkers for indigo. Demand for the color sparked trade wars, fueled Trans Atlantic slavery, and for a time the dye was actually used as straight up currency. The indigo craze probably even influenced Newton s original color wheel, even though most color specialists no longer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The so called blue gold later became culturally important and highly desired throughout Europe, Japan, and West Africa, before eventually making it s way to the American colonies, where its cultivation and trade helped fund the Revolutionary War effort. I know as a fact that a lot of people don t even ask that question but, this essay will discuss how I believe Genghis Khan is the number one conqueror in history. As my reasoning, I support the idea that Genghis Khan is the number one conqueror in history because, compared to other leaders and empires; Genghis Khans army or the Mongol Empire has conquered exceedingly more, not only did he subjugate more land he on average took less time to occupy the land than others, and he and his empire has maintained their land over a longer period than others. First and foremost, Genghis Khan has vanquished approximately 12.5 million square Km, which is, inferiorly further than what other conquerors have overcome. And while there s no single correct way to start a sentence, we need to vary them to ensure our writing doesn t get stale or boring. So, what makes a bad sentence beginning anyway? Are there rules? Well, no, but let s look at some examples of how repeated simple sentence openings can become stilted and tough to read. For example: John went to the store. Anthony went with him. They bought food and drinks. They bought flowers for John s mother. The man at the cash register smiled at them and gave them a discount. They returned home and put away the groceries. What do all these sentence beginnings have in common? As we can see, each one consists of a noun followed by a verb. The problem that Roger Fisher and William Ury refer to is the issue of bargaining over position. When we argue over positions, it produces undesirable outcomes. In negotiations, people tend to pay attention to the position, and not the underlying concerns of both parties. This is not only inefficient, but it can also lead to strained relationships between two parties. Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In by Fisher and Ury is a step by step guide to negotiating using a method known as principled negotiations. In principled negotiation, you and the other party are seen as the problem solvers rather than adversaries. The goal of principled negotiation is always to reach an outcome efficiently and amicably. The Method Every negotiation will involve people, and Fisher and Ury make it very clear that people are not perfect. While some may be good communicators, others may not be good listeners on the receiving end. We have our own interests and goals, in which we tend to see from our point of view. According to Fisher and Ury, the first step to a successful negotiation is to separate the people from the problem. The most common human problem that we face tends to be perception, emotion and communication. To prevent these problems from happening, the authors suggest that we build a working relationship and focus on the problem itself, not the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

History offers invaluable inspiration for contemporary designers, helping to develop and inform ideas. Exploration of history creates a context to work within and build concepts from, helping to add value and vigour. In this essay I will explore and explain how designers have used the past to inform their work, whether an expression of political, social, or traditional opinions. I will particularly focus on Alexander McQueen s political approach, and how he addresses his ancestral history. I will also look at Vivienne Westwood s work and how it challenges but also commemorates tradition. Next, I will study Cath Kidston s play on vintage and how she evokes nostalgia. Vivienne Westwood Westwood s epoch began all about rebellion and confrontation. Along with her partner Malcolm McLaren, they opened their first shop Let it Rock in 1971 (Price 2014), in which they made and sold Teddy boy style clothes a rebellion against the popular hippie fashion that lingered on from the late sixties. We can see her use of historical inspiration, using the rock and roll character to oppose the carefree, light hearted hippie influence. The structure, however, was in a very bad shape, and in May 1668, after a fall of the remains of the building materials fell; Wren was asked to submit proposals for a new cathedral. Wren s first proposal, The First Model , was quickly neglected, because it was said to be too modest. His second proposal was a mimic of the Greek cross. It was a classical style of the Italian Renaissance, it was centrally planned, and the main interior space was set beneath an enormous dome, and auxiliary spaces were located around the sides. But the clergy, who were only familiar with cathedrals whose designs, were Romanesque or Gothic, and were not familiar to classical architecture in his design, quickly through out the new design. • 46. Examples Of Why You Cant Repeat The Past In The Great Gatsby In the book The Great Gatsby Nick tells Gatsby you can t repeat the past gatsby responds with Why of course you can! I believe gatsby is wrong in this situation. The Great Gatsby does a very good job in showing us that gatsby is wrong in many different ways and examples. There are also many real life that can be used as examples to Gatsby being wrong. Also in life and in the book there are opportunities where you can repeat the past in a good or bad way. My first example of why you can t repeat the past is in life emotional states change everyday. In this book you can see that Gatsby and Daisy are not the same people they were 5 years before when they fell in love. Gatsby is so in love with daisy that he is blind to the truth that they aren t the same they once were neither of them. An example of this being true is Gatsby and I in turn leaned down and took the small reluctant hand. Afterword he kept looking at the child with surprise. I don t think he had ever really believed in its existence before. (117 Fitzgerald) This shows that Daisy has had a child, which completely changes someone.Gatsby cannot change such a thing, and nothing will ever be the same no matter how much he wants it to be as it once was. ...
