3. Microsoft word: Word was a very helpful program for planning my work. Though
it doens't present things in an exciting fashion, it did give me a distraction
free drafting space.
Microsoft Powerpoint: At first I needed some basic software I knew to help me
present some of my work, this was very helpful, as I knew my way around
the software and was able to publish easily with it.
Prezi: Prezi was a very nice piece of software, it made powerpoint look like
sticky. Prezi has such a fluid movement to it which just makes is a joy to
watch, though it should be said this is repeated so shouldn't be used too
often at risk of making them boring.
Apple Newstand: Finding hard copies of magazines is hard, what's even harder
is getting them for the genre of Jazz. Because of this I decided to go online
finding the magazine and to make it easier for reading and transport I would
do this on my apple device. In the end I encountered a problem with the
device and after deleting the magazine from my iPad I was unable to
restore purchase.

Photoshop: Photoshop was quite importantant. It was used entirely to
create the front cover and contents page. Any picture used in the magazine
came into here first for a quick touch up be it simply adding a filter or
removing a background.
•
InDesign: InDesign was used to create the DPS (double page spread).
InDesign offered extensive word edditting tools that Photoshop lacked
hense the reason the DPS was made here.
•
Microsoft word: Once again Microsoft word was used to help draft so I could
get everything spell checked first. This is because Photoshop doesn't have
these sort of tools. Also InDesign was fairly complicated to use so it was
easier to draft on this.
•
Camera: I used a variety of camera's from the Kodak models to
Olympus, we were playing with a few. My favourite would be the
Panasonic, it offered the best quality pictures and a quick snap speed, I did
initially have some problems with appature however this was sorted as soon
as I'd had a tinker and some lighting change.
