Similarities Between Rtk And Tvb
1. Introduction
Uttara (2016) defines mass media as a communication medium which used to interact or
communicate with large amount of citizens of different languages. People receive different
messages through communication devices every day, such as TV, newspapers, and magazines.
People received pictorial massages in the past. Nowadays, those devices become high technology
media. One thing that all of us agree upon, is that media become an inseparable element of our life.
Media is an effective tool to disseminate information, market, advertise, and communicate. It was a
double edged sword since there are both positive and negative influences of the mass media.

How Did Joseph Priestley Discover Oxygen
Joseph Priestly was an English scientist who found out about oxygen. Joseph Priestly had thought
before that there was more than one type of air. He discovered eight gases of which one was
oxygen. The element of oxygen was discovered by him during his many experiments. He did this
by an experiment involving the isolation of oxygenand carbon dioxide. Joseph Priestly discovery
of oxygen was significant by revealing the process of photosynthesis. Joseph Priestly discovered
oxygen because of where he lived. He was next to a brewery where the alcohol smell was inhaled
by Priestly. The idea of the brewing process produced gasses that helped him in the discovery of
oxygen. He found how to make carbon dioxide into a soluble. Joseph found out that carbon
dioxide was heavier than other gases. From being able to produce carbon dioxide had led him
closer to the discovery of oxygen. With his last experiment of producing carbon dioxide he made
another experiment. Mercury helped Priestly discover oxygen because he put carbon dioxide into
mercury. He had experimented with the use of a twelve inch burning lens and heated mercuric
oxide that contained an atom of oxygen. When he heated the liquid he discovered oxygen was
emitted from the experiment. From this experiment... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

plant, a mint leaf to see if the mouse would live with the plant next to it. For certain, the mouse

Priestly knew that for something to keep burning there must be one element, oxygen. So he then
sealed a candle tight to see if it would burn. The fire of course burned out, he then did the same
experiment but this time adding a plant to see a difference. The candle was still burning because of

The strategic goal of the principal of ABC Middle School will increase the degree of program
alignment within the math curriculum over the next three years so that: 1) there is clear
articulation and sequencing of content within and across grade levels, 2) this content is anchored in
state core standards; and 3) the evaluation measures used to assess this alignment are valid to this

graders parents explain the report cards and their implications.
Teachers will need collaboration time to work on methods, assessments and share resources over the
course of that first summer and each year after that. This will be vital for the successful integration
of this new alignment. Additionally, teachers will need all materials at least one semester prior to
implementing a new curriculum of study. This along with support from the teachers in the group
and committee will help teachers; students and parents find their way throughout these changes.
The principal must ask for lesson plans for the first few weeks of school prior to beginning the
school year to ensure that teachers are prepared to take on the task of the new programs and

Conwell s Acres Of Diamonds
Conwell begins his speech speaking of how many men make the same mistake when it comes to
attaining wealth. Conwell gives many stories and examples of which this has happened. He
believes that this universal mistake is not investigating into the surrounding society. For instance, a
man creating a business within a society in which there are already many businesses in that area
that sell the same thing. Whereas, a man that can understand the needs of a society and create a
business accordingly can generate a lot more wealth. In reference to the acres of diamonds he is
suggested there are immense amount of chances to become prosper but you just have to know how.

Whereas, Conwell stresses the idea that wealth is everywhere and there is a vast amount of it,
however, who attains it lays in knowledge and opportunity. The differing perspectives are due to
their contrasting priorities of life and life motives. Kuyper extenuates that his priority is his
faith. Because of his beliefs, his view on poverty is shaped by it. All of his ideals in The
Problem of Poverty is defending with a Christian perspective and Biblical references. His motive
in life is to fulfill the calling of a Christian, and he believes one of these callings is to help others,
such as those who live in poverty. Conwell s priorities differ greatly influencing his theories on
the subject matter of wealth and poverty. He prioritizes hard work and knowledge compared to
religion. Since his morals are based on these, he believes poverty is self conflicted or the doing
of someone rather than circumstance. Poverty in his eyes is easily solved in his eyes with
knowledge. Alternatively, to Kuyper s idea of overcoming poverty with the help of others, Conwell
is an individualistic issue and can be solved by the individual themselves. This is attainable through
knowledge and taking opportunities presented. Kuyper stresses the value of money and the power
it has, whereas Kuyper dejects the materialistic side of money and discourages the love humans

Examine urbanization in India with specific reference to urban infrastructure provisioning.
Introduction
One third of India s total population lives in town and city and it is expected to increase half by
reaching 2025. It is also one of the greater facts that around 60 % of city urban population lives in
slums and this also will definitely grow to a larger by 2025. There are reasons to it such as
inadequate economic position; inadequate finance and lack of transparency in governance and
service provisioning are identified as the root cause of slums growth in urban areas of India. In

(Anderson, 19664). India s urbanization is least in compared to other countries of the world
urbanization took place very late, between 1951 to 2001, the level of urbanization increased by
only 13%, however if we see the census of the country we can see the rise of population in every
decade. More than 2 /3rd populations of India lives in urban agglomerations, agglomeration are
those regions which has population greater than one million. Now the country is facing the rural
urban migration in a large extent. Rural population are migrating to urban areas in search of jobs,
majority among them were unskilled so they get into unorganized sector in the form of labour
work force. The cities are developing in constructing new houses malls, buildings, MNCs
Multiplexes, Metros, Roads etc but the workers involved in this gets very less in return, as they
fall under lower level of income group and hence they are bound to live in slums of the city that is
one of the reason slums are un expectangely getting higher in cities.
In most of the county s cities are planned, Beijing, Hon Kong, Las angles, Paris etc. are one such
examples. According to census urbanization is

Mennonites Case Studies
According to Sider, S. (2006) in Experiences with language retention: Case studies of Mennonites
from Mexico, two primary groups were at the core of the Mennonite faith tradition: Swiss
Mennonites and Russian Mennonites (who came from northern Germany and the Netherlands).
Those Mennonites who eventually moved to Mexicotrace their historical ties to the Russian
Mennonites. The language that was commonly spoken by adherents of the Russian Mennonite faith
was low German. Beginning 1874 and continuing into the 1880s, about eighteen thousand Russian
Mennonites left Russia to move to Canada for free land and military exemption. In the 1920s,
between 5,000 and 9,000 Mennonites moved to Mexico, because they were forced to use English as

multiethnic youth language as a way of creating a contract to people living in the western parts of
Oslo, and consequently as a way of affirming their identities as young East Enders. According to

Usa Patriot Act Pros And Cons

The USA PATRIOT is an acronym for Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate
Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism (the USA Patriot Act). It was made to provide
the United States government with certain tools and weapons to fight against terrorism around the
globe. The USA Patriot Actviolates American civil liberties and is unconstitutional by restricting
the First Amendment and Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights. This act violates freedom of

There are over 370 of these words that will flag an ordinary American citizen to be searched.
Imagine how many people search these words on a day to day basis. This is why the Patriot Act
does not help fight terrorism but rather loads government agencies with useless data and threatens
Americans right to freedom of speech: The Patriot Act s provisions are really a grab bag of
governmental powers that have been sought over the years preceding September 11th, 2001 and
rejected as antithetical to civil liberties (Maag). History showed us previously to the Patriot Act
that sometimes Americans realize some legislation in the United States government needs to be
rechecked, revised, or revoked. History has taught us that repressive laws adopted in previous
times of crisis (like the Alien and Sedition Act of seventeen ninety eight; restrictions on free speech,
and the notorious Palmer Raids during WWI; the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII;
blacklists and domestic spying during and after the Cold War/McCarthy era) were eventually
recognized as unnecessary at best, and dangerous (The Patriot Act Is Not a Good Antiterrorism
Tool). History tends to repeat itself and the Patriot Act is a good example. The Patriot Act violates
the First Amendment by taking away American rights to freedom of

Cultural Differences In Gung Ho
In an increasingly global economy Japanese cars are manufactured in America, American cars in
Japan, and parts for both in each. Regardless of the relations existing between any two nations at
any one time. the success of international partnerships may depend on a mutual understanding. Also
respect for diversity of history, culture, language and business practices.
In Gung Ho, a Japanese automaker moves into an abandoned factory in the Midwestern town. Both
the automaker and the town s newly re employed autoworkers have an interest in making it work,
but they are at odds in terms of principles, methods and leadership styles. Misunderstandings
threaten the realization of a project both partners desperately need.
Gung ho is a Chinese term that literally means working together. The term was the slogan of Lt.
Colonel Evans F. Carlson s Marine Raiders during World War II and its meaning was expanded to
mean, enthusiastic, cooperative and enterprising.
Gung Ho is the story of a Japanese company (Assan Motors) that comes to a small American town,
Hadleyville, to reopen a car factory. Hunt Stevenson (Keaton) lures Assan to Hadleyville and is
offered an employee liaison position in the joint venture. He soon learns that the Japanese and the
Americans have very different styles of operating a company, based in large measure on differences
in cultural values. differences between collectivism affect the working relationships between the

Observation Of A Piglet
On September 10th 2017 Mr. Striker placed out 10 dead baby piglets in the body farm at Wabash
Heartland Career Center. The piglets all had different factors and the piglets where all still born.
Before the body farm even started we wrote theories on questions that we were given and what
we would think would happen to each piglet in different factors. We started observing these
piglets on September 11th 2017. We observed these piglets for three weeks until mostly all of the
piglets where decomposed all the way to bones. The piglet that was burned (piglet 2) was the
one to decompose the fastest out of the natural state piglet in the grass (piglet 1) and a buried
piglet (piglet 10). My initial thought was correct that piglet 2 would decompose fastest due to
less skin for the bugs to get through the skin and get inside of the piglet. Piglet 2 decomposed on
day 9 it was completely bones with no skin or flesh left on the bones due to maggots and other
insects. Piglet 1 still had maggots on its legs on day 9 and was decomposed on day 11 with only
bones left. The piglet 10 still has not been completely decomposed on day 15. The speed of
decompositionis different when the piglet is naked on the black top (piglet6) or a clothed piglet
on black top (piglet 7). My initial thought was that piglet 6 would decompose faster because there
would be one less layer to get through than on piglet 7. I was correct that the piglet 6 did
decompose faster than piglet 7. However the clothes

Development Of Building Codes Of South Korea Essay
BILD 364 Building Code Compliance
Assignment 1: Development of Building Codes
Development of Building Codes in
South Korea
Glen Stricot Tarboton
Due 23rd March 2016
Introduction
Seoul, South Korea, has grown rapidly since the Korean War of the 1950 s to become the worlds
second largest metropolitan area with over 23 million residents in 2014 (National Statistics Office (
통계мІ)). This growth has occurred economically as well, with an average GDP increase of 10
percent between 1962 and 1994 (The World Bank). This report looks into the development of South
Korean building codes. Figure 1: Timeline of Significant Events in South Korea s Building History
The 1970 s oil crisis occurred when an oil embargo was imposed by members of the
Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries. This led to fuel shortages and high prices
around the world (History.com). Due to Korea s limited resources, it imports all of its coal, oil
and natural gas. At the time of the United States Department of Energy s report into Building
Energy Codes in the Republic of Korea, Korea was the second largest importer of coal and one of
the largest for oil and natural gas. It also reported an emission of 515 metric tonnes of carbon
dioxide by the country in the year 2006 (Evans, Chon and Shui).
Early Building Standards
The first official building standard came into effect in 1977. It was a result of the 1970 s oil crisis.
This outlined the mandatory building standards of insulation thickness.

babysitting you should use the following steps. First, you will need an abundance of energy.
Children have tons of energy and they are always moving and you need to keep up with them.
Next, you should keep the children busy. You should plan activities for the children to do such as

A Interview With My Grandmother
I enjoyed reading your interview with your Grandmother, she sounds so much like my
Grandmother. How she grew up also sounds a lot like how I grew up, just different times. We
didn t have a lot of money but we were happy. My Mother worked her whole life and still works
today, she had lots of trouble raising four children until she met my Dad who adopted us. I
remember we were getting canned food delivered to our trailer at one point before she met my
Dad. It all changed when my Dad found my Mom and married her and took on all four of us. For
some reason, I couldn t help but to remember making mud pies and building forts in our yard.
That was one thing we did have was a huge back yard with a fence, so we would pretend the yard
was our ocean full of sharks. We would climb around the fence and if we fell, we got eaten by
the sharks. For some reason this interview made me think of those great memories. Miyoko has a
very tough situation to face. She basically has to decide to do what makes her happy or what her
parents and family want her to do. Miyoko needs to understand that she needs to make this
decision for herself because she is the one that has to deal with the life decisions she makes. The
first recommendation for her is to make a list of all the pros and cons of doing what she wants to

many. However, fracking fluid is not the only questionable aspect of fracking. Included is land and
infrastructure degradation, physiological harm to local citizens, utilization of legislation loopholes,
and the secrecy of fracking fluid formulas within the industry. Fracking, like all industries, has many
hazards associated, and has initiated much political discussion at the state and federal levels of
government, while inciting concern of local citizens. Fracking is not the cleanest alternative to oil
reclamation, but has improved drastically with the introduction of hydraulic fracturing. Hydraulic
fracturing is an extremely controversial topic, raising concerns of safety and of economic feasibility
by both affected or non affected citizens and members of government. Nonetheless, the negative
attributes of fracking, such as fracking fluid dispersal and other environmental issues are
outweighed by the vast economic gains and can be mitigated by a system of regulations and

Virginia Satir s Family Therapy Model
John Banmen said Virginia Satir, the pioneer of conjoint family therapy, has, over the years
taught, and developed a family therapy system based on the belief that people have the resources
to move their life patterns from a basic survival level to a higher level of becoming more fully
human. A brief overview of Satir s work will define communication and self esteem as Satir would
use them, create an understanding of familydynamics, which allows the reader to fully

This conflict between mates leaves the child feeling at risk of losing one or both parents.
Children see themselves as the only pain relief or distraction for their parents. Kids feel over

Satir operate[s] from the assumption that when there is pain in the family, all family members

Food Insecurity Is A Fact For Millions Of Americans
Food insecurity is a fact for millions of American every day in our country. Children, adults, and
the elderly of all races, living in poverty or in lower middle class families, are at a higher risk of
not having enough to eat. The United States, in 2012, used roughly 40% or 915 million acres of
all US land as farmland (USDA 2014, 1), yet as a nation we cannot feed all of our people. The
American government subsidizes commodity crops, such as corn, wheat, and soy more than any
other type of crop in the United States, (This does not include the subsidies directly paid to the
meat and dairy industry, which is a whole other paper!). Government subsidies are less common for
the production of fresh fruits and vegetables. Government subsidies encourage farmers to grow
commodity crops instead of growing fruits and vegetables for consumers at competitive prices
creating foodinsecurity. The cheap production of commodity crops force families in the lower
middle class and poverty to choose a diet of processed food, which are less nutritious than fresh
fruits, vegetables, and whole grains causing many of the health problems that we see in the
population today. According to the USDA website in 2015, 12.7 percent, or 15.8 million of
American households were food insecure. A food insecure household is a household that had
difficulty at some time during the year providing enough nutritious food for all the members in a
household due to a lack of resources (Coleman Jensen, et al.

The Negative Effects Of Barbie Dolls
In modern day society, impressionable teenage girls are bombarded with forms of media. They
are constantly exposed to media platforms and are consequently susceptible to society s
outrageous standards of what their ever changing bodies should look like. This can drive them
to have unrealistic expectations for themselves, deteriorating confidence and potentially life
threatening illnesses such as, anorexia and bulimia. Therefore, it is clear that the media has
damaging effects on the still developing females within our society. From a young age the
media s expectations are accessible in the form of Barbie Dolls. Unknowing girls idolize Barbie
and her materialistic lifestyle hoping to one day become the Barbie that they play with today.
Statistics show that about 90% of 3 11 year old girls will have own a Barbie Doll. Barbie becomes
one of life s early role models. Yet the slim waist and long limbs that Barbie portrays are an
impossible figure that are unattainable for the human body. Therefore, from a young age, females
are set up to fail as they feel the need to reach an unattainable standard. Moreover, as girls grow
out of Barbie Dolls they are susceptible to many more forms of media and are only exposed to
them for approximately 7.5 hours per day when between the ages of 8 and 18. Consequently, the
average adolescent can view up to 400 600 advertisements per day through forms of media such as,
apps, TV and magazines and within those commercials around one in every 11

English Reflection
In my previous English courses, I had no knowledge of writing an essay, or even a proper
sentence. Writing did not seem like anything important in my life, or that it would affect me
anyway in the future. I had despised my own writing and loathed having to write essays for any
of my classes. When I had enrolled in Composition I, I had no idea what I was going to do to pass.
However, in class, we had done collaborative work, which had helped me progress myself.
Collaborative work had consisted of multiple students helping each other, sharing ideas, and
peer reviews. This was a change of pace for me since I had not done that before. In previous classes,
I had done individual work, which was solely myself correcting and working on my work.
Between collaborative work and individual work, I enjoyed working with partners and sharing
each other s experiences to benefit ourselves. Over this class I have developed my writingskills,
learned from my previous mistakes, and understood the writing process.
To begin with, before taking this class I would have grammar errors, low level word choices,
sentence fragments, contractions, and no sentence variety. The grammar in my essays would be
something that I had never worked on or learned from. My word choices were that of a middle
schooler and would sound childish at times. I had never taken the time to learn about the sentence
variety and combinations that were possible. My knowledge of sentence variety was limited to only
compound and

Analysis Of Hassan Nasrallah s Speech
A discourse analysis of one of Hassan Nasrallah s speeches
Introduction
Hizbullah, a main political party in Lebanon, is affecting the social world by promoting their
ideological and political position. Although all the countries surrounding Lebanon are facing
conflicts and war, we are still taking neutrality as a Lebanese government. However, Hizbullah are
deeply involved in the conflict happing in Syria, leading a huge military action outside the
Lebanese borders. Hizbullah s General Secretary Hassan Nasrallah has always been a highly
appreciated leader with substantial followers. His decision to support the Syrian regime affected the
internal politics of Lebanon. However, NAsrallah s political performances and his skillful use of

In paragraph three, we can see that Nasrallah began congratulating the people for the day of
Liberation and praising his fighters for the great victorious achievement. He manages to combine
his charismatic leadership and the general ideological principles to show that he is obeyed from
all the people. However, he used deligitimization to present every opponent as a supporter for
terrorists and highlights the cruel acts they have done. Nasrallah (2015) states we are not talking
about intentions. ISIL sheds blood, demolishes, kills, rapes, rake woman as prisoners, slaughters...
This strong description of actions done by the enemy construct the difference between them in a
way of blaming and accusing them of terrorism. However, he never mentioned if what Hizbullah s
fighters are doing in the Syrian war. He tried to take his audience away from providing them
information of how fighters of Hizbullah are also killing innocent people in this war. Therefore, he

Egypt is a desert on a plateau near the Nile valley and delta. Egypt has hot and dry summers with
near to moderate winters. One of the most hot summers in Egypt has reached to 120 degrees

Egypt is very worried about the sinking of the Nile Delta. The sinking of the Delta will end an

it dries out. By the end of the century 60 percent of the Delta region will be saturated in so much
salt that almost no land will be farmable. 20 percent of the land will be covered in water. Two
thirds of Egypt s food will drown and be completely underwater. This means about two thirds,
give or take a few will be completely homeless and hungry. This will not just affect Egypt, this is
going to affect the whole world. There will be so much gas put into our world if the Nile Delta

waste is dumped into the Nile and it is toxic and brown. You can not drink out of the river without

Ovid s The Story of Daedalus and Icarus
In Ovid s The Story of Daedalus and Icarus , Ovid uses characterization to make the characters
realistic and vivid and to reveal plot through the characters actions, thoughts, speech and physical

Daedalus and Icarus completely is not possible. Ovid hides important pieces of the plot in the text,
and wants the readers to reveal the true meaning of the story by looking into the characteristics of

From this story, Daedalus can be characterized as brilliant, ignorant, irrational, and egotistical.
When characterizing Icarus, Daedalus son, one of the best parts that describes Icarus is when
his father is making the wings. And Icarus, his son, stood by and watched him, Not knowing he
was dealing with his downfall, Stood by and watched, and raised his shiny face To let a feather,
light as down, fall on it, Or stuck his thumb into the yellow wax, Fooling around, the way a boy
will, always (Ovid 14 20).
With this quote, it shows Icarus immaturity, foolish and playfulness when it comes to his father s
inventions and his life. Icarus is a young boy which is evident from the quote above because he
is playing with the wax and watching and admiring his dad. If it was an older boy, he d probably
be off by himself or helping his father with his inventions instead of playing with the wax in the
wings. Icarus is an innocent boy who doesn t understand the importance of being responsible. Not
being responsible leads him to his death, which could have been avoided if he had paid attention to
what his father had told him. Icarus got swept up in the moment when he was flying, and lost all of
his thoughts which lead him to the mistake of flying too high. And the boy Thought This is

The Origin Of The Mongolian People
Everyday, people move to different cities, towns, neighborhoods, or just the middle of nowhere.
And these people who relocate, bring something unique to the new area that they live in. When
people migrate, a society becomes more diverse. Cultures, foods, religions, languages, beliefs,
and much more are exposed to different people and this in turn, causes many people to become
more informed, diverse, less ignorant, and sometimes even infuriated. Just like in the present,
the same things occurred in medieval times. When the Gothic tribes invaded Rome, Rome
changed forever. It was no longer what it used to be in terms of culture or strength. Another big
migration of people was of the Mongolian people taking over most of Asia. This migration was
more of a positive one because although the Mongolians killed many people, they allowed
freedom of religion and granted other rights to the people they ruled. In this paper we will
discuss why these people moved, weather or not the migrations were peaceful, how these
migrations affected the empire/culture/religion, and compare the migrations/invasions. The
reason the Goths migrated to Rome to take it over was that Rome was a very alluring place to
live. The quality of life was much higher than what the Germanic tribes were used to. Rome was
very affluent, and towards the end of the empires reign, was rather feeble. So due to this, the
Romans were a great target because they were rich and weak. And although the Germanic tribes
were poor,

A budget is the estimation of revenue and expenses for a certain period of time. It is a
microeconomic concept relates with the tradeoff of one good to another. It is a quantified financial
plan for an organization which includes sales volume, revenues, liabilities, costs, cash flows and
expenses. Budget provides support in comparison of organization expenditure against its profit.

Fixed Budget
A financial plan which cannot be changed throughout the budget period is known as Fixed budget.
It is also known as Static budget. They are made upon a very specific criteria and do not allow any
change in the plan during the time period it covers. In fixed budget, once a budget is created for
the whole operational year then there will be no room for change in it despite the fact that the
level of business changes. Sometimes it is noted that there is a sudden increase in sales/profit or on
the other hand sudden decrease in sales/profit but either of these business condition have no impact
on fixed budget.

The Pathological Protagonist of Dostoevsky’s Notes from...
The Pathological Protagonist of Dostoevsky s Notes from the Underground
Dostoevsky s vision of the world is violent and his characters tortured; it is no wonder that many
have viewed his work as prophetic of the 20th century. However, though Dostoevsky, in his
unflinching portrayal of depravity, gives the Devil some of his best arguments, the Gospel often
triumphs. Ivan Karamazov is at least offered the possibility of repentance when kissed by his saintly
brother Alyosha. Raskolnikov, the nihilistic antihero of Crime and Punishment, is eventually
redeemed through the love of the pure prostitute Sonja.
Notes from the Underground, however, breaks this pattern. The protagonist of this novel, who,
uncharacteristically for Dostoevsky, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Notes from the Underground, despite its unpolished narrative and paradoxical narrator, is a
coherent whole, a subtle portrait of a man in conflict with himself. The first portion of the Notes is
a revelation of personality, according to J. M. Coetzee, whereas the second is a revelation of a
shameful history (219).
The two cannot be separated from each other; both are necessary to complete the underground man
s portrait. Though he may put on a bold front in the ideological jabs of the first section, the second
shows his ineffectual character, the seemingly irresolvable paradoxes of his personality. The
underground man is paralyzed by indecision, governed by spite. His inability to live life is a malady
that has grown prevalent in the educated nineteenth century (Dostoevsky 296, 191). As Dostoevsky
writes in a footnote at the beginning of the work, such persons as the writer of these notes not only
may, but positively must, exist in our society, when we consider the circumstances under our
society was formed (179). The true philosophical lessons of the Notes are implicit, hidden within
the narrative, and condemn the underground man as much as they do his rationalist opponents.
Any satisfactory analysis of Notes from the Underground must keep in mind the singular
consciousness and

Ministry of Divine Delay
The Divine Ministry Of Delay
One of the great dangers of life is that of losing sight of God s great design in the details by which
that design is worked out, and it has been well said that we entirely lose the value of any
experience if we isolate it. That is, if you take your sorrow and regard it apart from the great
designing love of God, if you take your losses, your temporary setbacks, your momentary
depressions, and dwell upon these things as if they were the only experiences of God s
providence, and as if they were not related to the great central control of His love you will entirely
miss their value. It is that we may be saved from such peril that we are meditating together thus on

The instinct that can tell
That God is on the field, when He

That is the instinct which may God grant every one of us to have in these days.
Now these words were spoken by the prophet
Jeremiah in a day when the nation s desire, its best desire, was perhaps never so evident. The
people had begun to see the fulfilment of God s promises and the working of His providence.
Their foes were being pushed from their land, the beginnings of recultivation were taking place,
and the broken down altars of God were being rebuilt. But all was being done so slowly that they
could not reconcile the slowness of
God with the implicit assurances upon which their faith in Him rested. They were impatient and
restive under His apparent inactivity. Faith saw God s beginnings and, like the disciples of later
days, thought the kingdom must immediately appear! There is a great deal to be said for the faith

Cultural Groups In The Algonquin People
The Algonquin people, Jesuit missionaries, and French laborers are three separate cultural groups
that are important to understand in the context of Native American and French peoples interactions.
Each group plays a significant role in the history of early French exploration and colonies in North
America. When focusing on each group, it is important to understand how each cultural group is
portrayed, and who is portraying them. The better we can understand these interactions the more we
can learn from our past. Defining each cultural group itself is complex. There were separate groups
both within Native Americans and the French people. Identifying these groups, who belongs to
them and who doesn t, is not always black and white and sometimes gray areas can occur.
Distinguishing Algonquinpeople from other Native Americans is an easy task. It can be done by
looking at the area in which they live, who they are allies with, and who they trade with. Typically,
Algonquin people lived in the New England area, they were allies with local native tribes that were
regularly fighting the Iroquoispeople, and they tended to trade and work with French colonists.
They are usually described as savages, and portrayed as uncivilized people that are extremely
strong. Father Paul Le Jeune, a Jesuit living in French North America, describes them, They are tall,
erect, strong, well proportioned, agile; and there is nothing effeminate in their appearance (Paul Le

The bravest of individuals is the one who obeys his or her conscience . The strongest of minds

The Importance of Stress Management Essay
The Importance of Stress Management
Stress today can be described as that which disturbs a person s mental and physical well being
(Morrison 1). Common symptoms of stress include chronic fatigue, changes in appetite, drug and
/or alcohol abuse, difficulty sleeping, body aches, and changes in emotions (Cooper 1 2). And
although stress is something that is inevitable, it can be controlled. Just about everything we do
today creates stress, both good and bad. In the face paced and technological world we live in, stress
management is key to survival as well as sanity.
Stress can be caused from numerous things for example, a death in the family, divorce, or loss of a
job. But stress is also attributed to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stress is not only affecting individuals, but also affects how are businesses function and how our
society operates (Morrison 1).
Stress can cause many things that affect a healthy body. Stress causes quick yet shallow
breathing in which case, the body s cells are being deprived of oxygen. Stress will increase
cholesterol levels and can also cause indigestion, heartburn, a decreased sex drive, and also
arteriosclerosis (the hardening of the arteries). While these symptoms may seem minimal, stress
can decrease the activity of white blood cells. Since the white blood cells fight off sicknesses and
diseases, the immune system is affected by stress and can make the body more susceptible to
colds, viruses, flues, and diseases (Morrison 2).
Stress can affect all aspects of one s mind and body. Behaviorally, stress can cause anger, excessive
crying, depression, apprehension, increased alcohol use, mood swings, and even suicide. It can
cause problems physically as well. Anorexia, fatigue, trembling, loss of appetite, and headaches are
just a few of the symptoms that overly stressed individuals may experience (Morrison 2).
It is critical to understand important stress management skills. If stress is not dealt with, it can result
in a burnout, or perhaps worse, People who experience high levels of anxiety are four to five times
more likely to die of a heart attack or stroke (Morrison

Security Risks Surrounding Electronic Medical Records
In this paper we identify security risks surrounding Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and discuss
strategies healthcare providers can employ to mitigate those risks. We begin with a brief overview
of the legislative history driving the rapid adoption of EMR and other health information
technology. Legislation Driving Rapid Adoption of EMR Perhaps the most important piece of
legislation relevant to our understanding of security risks surrounding EMR and health information
technology is The Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which was
signed into law in 1996 by the Clinton administration. HIPAA impacts the healthcare industry in
many ways, but of particular importance at least for our purposes of understanding security risks
surrounding EMR is HIPAA s security rule, which governs how providers must protect private
health information during the process of adopting and implementing new health information
technology such as EMR. HIPAA requires covered entities to take reasonable measures to protect
electronic private health information. HIPAA is vitally important to our understanding of EMR
risks because providers can face harsh penalties if found in violation of HIPAA. Over the next
decade, significant advances were made on the technology front, and in 2009 president Obama
signed into law The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act
(HITECH). The HITECH Act introduced the concept of meaningful use as a way to

Bread Givers And The Adventures Of Huckleberry
Throughout a typical story or novel, a character often changes themselves after an adventure or
conflict. They may change themselves through a variety of ways, like changing their own beliefs,
or changing their financial or social status. This can be applied in two popular classics, Bread
Givers and The Adventures of Huckleberry . Throughout the story, the protagonists managed to
reform themselves after a course of events, even though they did keep some aspects of themselves.
For Sara, enforcing her own beliefs over her father s orthodox tradition allowed her to educate
herself and be financially independent. Meanwhile, Huck managed to reinvent himself by

Now that there is an established definition within context, parts of Bread Giver s will be pointed
out to display how Sara Smolinsky s actions show her reinventing herself. In Bread Giver s , Sara
Smolinsky transitioned from being financially dependent and bound to her father, to a person
who was able to make vital decisions without heavy external influences, like her father s cultural
values. In the beginning, Sara was not able to make her own choices. A good example of this is
when Sara trusts a customer to pay her back later, but the father frowns on Sara trusting a
customer to pay back two cents. He implies her dependence to him by stating Without asking
me? I m the one to decide who is to be trusted (Yezierska 134). The quote emphasizes the Father s
authority over Sara, as well as her dependence on him. To further explain, when he says the
phrase: I m the one to decide ... he clearly states that it was him that makes any choices in the
store, rather than Sara. A smaller, but significant example of Sara being financially dependent on
her father is when her father doesn t give Sara her earned money for herself. Sara states And yet,
when I d bring home the wages to Father, he d never let me have money to buy something I
needed (Yezierska 89). The significance of this quote can be found after a couple of paragraphs
after, where the father refuses to buy a coat for her daughter, even though the weather was freezing
cold.

Myrtle. Gatsby lies about his life to fit in with other people. Nick is the only one who does not
lie to himself. Fitzgerald was truthful to himself, when he published books he did not say he
was famous to fit in with other people. Nick heads east seeking his own fortune and not to be
given one. Nicks moral sense is also like Fitzgerald s, at the beginning Nick starts to interact with
the others and is not like them at all. He is set off to be more practical, down to earth person.
This is evident in chapter two when he does not know how to respond to Tom and Myrtle s
secret life. Fitzgerald was also a down to earth person who was realistic. He told his wife that she

Benefits Of Cloning In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Cloning and the creation of the monster in Mary Shelley s Frankenstein sounds promising,
however, cloning is highly irresponsible to pursue. Dolly the sheep had a successful cloning but it
brought many questions to the scientists. Cloning may have its benefits, but the outcome may vary.
Cloning will impact the world deeply and cause a tension among the humans. Allowing to clone a
human being is referred to as playing God. It is reasonable to decline the cloning of humans due to
the fact it is a threat to human evolution, high failure rates and the possible life issues that may

Children, adults, and the elderly of all races, living in poverty or in lower middle class families, are at a higher risk of not having enough to eat. The United States, in 2012, used roughly 40% or 915 million acres of all US land as farmland (USDA 2014, 1), yet as a nation we cannot feed all of our people. The American government subsidizes commodity crops, such as corn, wheat, and soy more than any other type of crop in the United States, (This does not include the subsidies directly paid to the meat and dairy industry, which is a whole other paper!). Government subsidies are less common for the production of fresh fruits and vegetables. Between collaborative work and individual work, I enjoyed working with partners and sharing each other s experiences to benefit ourselves. Over this class I have developed my writingskills, learned from my previous mistakes, and understood the writing process. To begin with, before taking this class I would have grammar errors, low level word choices, sentence fragments, contractions, and no sentence variety. The grammar in my essays would be something that I had never worked on or learned from. My word choices were that of a middle schooler and would sound childish at times. I had never taken the time to learn about the sentence variety and combinations that were possible. My knowledge of sentence variety was limited to only compound and ... And these people who relocate, bring something unique to the new area that they live in. When people migrate, a society becomes more diverse. Cultures, foods, religions, languages, beliefs, and much more are exposed to different people and this in turn, causes many people to become more informed, diverse, less ignorant, and sometimes even infuriated. Just like in the present, the same things occurred in medieval times. When the Gothic tribes invaded Rome, Rome changed forever. It was no longer what it used to be in terms of culture or strength. Another big migration of people was of the Mongolian people taking over most of Asia. This migration was more of a positive one because although the Mongolians killed many people, they allowed freedom of religion and granted other rights to the people they ruled. In this paper we will discuss why these people moved, weather or not the migrations were peaceful, how these migrations affected the empire/culture/religion, and compare the migrations/invasions. The reason the Goths migrated to Rome to take it over was that Rome was a very alluring place to live. The quality of life was much higher than what the Germanic tribes were used to. Rome was very affluent, and towards the end of the empires reign, was rather feeble. So due to this, the Romans were a great target because they were rich and weak. The Pathological Protagonist of Dostoevsky s Notes from the Underground Dostoevsky s vision of the world is violent and his characters tortured; it is no wonder that many have viewed his work as prophetic of the 20th century. However, though Dostoevsky, in his unflinching portrayal of depravity, gives the Devil some of his best arguments, the Gospel often triumphs. Ivan Karamazov is at least offered the possibility of repentance when kissed by his saintly brother Alyosha. Notes from the Underground, despite its unpolished narrative and paradoxical narrator, is a coherent whole, a subtle portrait of a man in conflict with himself. The first portion of the Notes is a revelation of personality, according to J. M. Coetzee, whereas the second is a revelation of a shameful history (219). The two cannot be separated from each other; both are necessary to complete the underground man s portrait. Though he may put on a bold front in the ideological jabs of the first section, the second shows his ineffectual character, the seemingly irresolvable paradoxes of his personality. The underground man is paralyzed by indecision, governed by spite. His inability to live life is a malady that has grown prevalent in the educated nineteenth century (Dostoevsky 296, 191). As Dostoevsky writes in a footnote at the beginning of the work, such persons as the writer of these notes not only may, but positively must, exist in our society, when we consider the circumstances under our society was formed (179). Cultural Groups In The Algonquin People The Algonquin people, Jesuit missionaries, and French laborers are three separate cultural groups that are important to understand in the context of Native American and French peoples interactions. Each group plays a significant role in the history of early French exploration and colonies in North America. When focusing on each group, it is important to understand how each cultural group is portrayed, and who is portraying them. The better we can understand these interactions the more we can learn from our past. Defining each cultural group itself is complex. There were separate groups both within Native Americans and the French people. Identifying these groups, who belongs to them and who doesn t, is not always black and white and sometimes gray areas can occur. Distinguishing Algonquinpeople from other Native Americans is an easy task. It can be done by looking at the area in which they live, who they are allies with, and who they trade with. Typically, Algonquin people lived in the New England area, they were allies with local native tribes that were regularly fighting the Iroquoispeople, and they tended to trade and work with French colonists. They are usually described as savages, and portrayed as uncivilized people that are extremely strong. Security Risks Surrounding Electronic Medical Records In this paper we identify security risks surrounding Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and discuss strategies healthcare providers can employ to mitigate those risks. We begin with a brief overview of the legislative history driving the rapid adoption of EMR and other health information technology. Legislation Driving Rapid Adoption of EMR Perhaps the most important piece of legislation relevant to our understanding of security risks surrounding EMR and health information technology is The Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which was signed into law in 1996 by the Clinton administration. HIPAA impacts the healthcare industry in many ways, but of particular importance at least for our purposes of understanding security risks surrounding EMR is HIPAA s security rule, which governs how providers must protect private health information during the process of adopting and implementing new health information technology such as EMR. HIPAA requires covered entities to take reasonable measures to protect electronic private health information. HIPAA is vitally important to our understanding of EMR risks because providers can face harsh penalties if found in violation of HIPAA. In the beginning, Sara was not able to make her own choices.
