4. DISCUSSION
It is process of talking about something,
typically in order to reach a decision or to
exchange ideas.
SPEECHES
It is the expression or the ability
to express thoughts and
feelings by articulate sounds.

5. ROLE PLAY
It is the acting out performance of a particular
role either consciously or unconsciously.
In accordance with the perceive expectations of
society with regard to a person's behavior in a
particular context.
STORYTELLING
Story telling fosters creative thinking
and it also helps the students express
ideas.

7. CONSONANT
It is a speech sound that is articulated
with complete or partial closure of
the vocal tract.
Examples:
• [p] pronounced with the lips
• [t] pronounced with the front of the tongue
• [k] pronounced with the back of the tongue
• [h] pronounced in the throat
• [f] and[s], pronounced by forcing air through a
narrow channel (fricatives)
• [m] and [n], which have air flowing through the
nose (nasals)

8. VOWEL
Is a sound in spoken language such as
an English ah! [ɑː] or oh! [oʊ].
pronounce with an open vocal tract so
that there is no build-up of air pressure at
any point above the glottis.

9. INTONATION
• Is a variation of spoken pitch that is not used
to distinguish words.
Here are some examples. Sentence A below has
rising-falling intonation and Sentence B has rising
intonation.
A. She wants to buy some SOda.
B. Do you think that’s a good deCISion?

10. WORD STRESS
Stress is the relative emphasis that may be
given to certain syllables in a word or to certain
words in a phrase or sentence.
Example:
The same stress:
deNY (verb) – deNIal (noun)
ofFEND (verb) – ofFENCE (noun)
reVIEW (noun) – reVIEW (verb)
PREview (noun) – PREview (verb)
HOSpital (noun) – HOSpitalize (verb)
Shift of stress:
preSENT (verb) – PRESent (noun)
reFER (verb) – REFerence (noun)
exTRACT (verb) – EXtract (noun)
inCREASE (verb) – INcrease (noun)
OBject (noun) – obJECT (verb)
