3. As I am targeting my music magazine at different ethnic groups
its important that I prove I have represented them. In my
magazine I have used models of all ethnicities to emphasis that
the genre of pop doesn't belong to one specific culture, it’s for
anyone who has a passion for that genre of music. The models
of all ethnicities (representing famous musicians) are there to
be looked upon as role models for all ethnic groups; aspire to
look like them. My magazine also has articles that feature
fashion, festivals and even advice columns. This is done
purposely as i’m targeting teenage girls, who at that age are
specifically conscious of their appearance, and also enjoy going
out and listening to live music. The social media icons used on
my contents page are placed there purposely as research proves
90% of teenagers are on some form of social media. The icons
imply you can access the magazine online which will appeal to
the internet obsessed audience.
