Use these prompts to create a written charter for your project.
Skills Audit – Review your strengths and weaknesses and confidence in the following areas:
Project Management
I believe I have gained skills in basic project management including evaluation and research. However I
could improve on my time keeping as I struggled to keep to my plan. I will try to improve on this and next
time hope I can do well in this area. I now believe I am more confident with my project management now I
have a clear understanding of how project management works
Research and Ideas Generation
I believe I am strong in this area with a wide range of ideas that I can display clearly. However the written
aspect of research i struggle with and find myself stuck. I am confident at researching now I have improved
my skills in this area.
Drawing Techniques
I am very strong in this area and believe my drawing techniques are a very good standard. This helps me
research and design my future work. I can clearly design my work to how I want it to and keep it original
and fresh. I am very confident in this area and believe this will help me in my future.
Adobe Photoshop
In this area I believe I have a good understanding of the software and can use it to a certain stranded.
However I could improve on my skills slightly a bit more. I believe I am confident in the basic understanding
of the software.
Adobe Illustrator
I am okay at illustrator and have improved my skills.in this area. However I could with certain skills such as
the pen tool. I am confident in this area and believe I can use it at a certain level. An example of illustrator
was creating my character. I brought in an image and used the pen tool to trace it and create my character.
NewTek LightWave - Modeler
I believe I am strong in this software and am confident in creating 3d models. Through the multiple tutorials
I have a good understanding of the software and can produce a good detailed mode.
Assignment Structure – Ask yourself the following questions:
Are you clear about the timescale available?
Yes I am clear about the timescale I have been set and what deadlines I must complete.
Do you understand what elements of the unit are being assessed?
Yes I understand very well what units are being assessed through tutors and the brief.
Do you understand the scenario and the reasons for carrying out the assignment?
Yes I understand the scenario as I have assessed and analysed the scenario and why we are carrying out
each assignment.
Have you visited the Second Life community and the SL Market Place? What are your impressions?
I have visited the website and I believe that the websites are aimed at teenagers and the robot I saw all
contain some sort of weapon
What is your goal for this assignment?
My goal is to complete my tasks on time and create a robot relevant to secondlife.
Constraints – What is going to cause you problems in this project (technical, time, legal and ethical issues etc.) and what will you
do to solve these problems?
Time will be the biggest problem for me because I struggle spending a certain amount of time on each task.

Skills Audit – Review your strengths and weaknesses and confidence in the following areas: Project Management I believe I have gained skills in basic project management including evaluation and research. However I could improve on my time keeping as I struggled to keep to my plan. I will try to improve on this and next time hope I can do well in this area. I now believe I am more confident with my project management now I have a clear understanding of how project management works Research and Ideas Generation I believe I am strong in this area with a wide range of ideas that I can display clearly. However the written aspect of research i struggle with and find myself stuck. I am confident at researching now I have improved my skills in this area. Drawing Techniques I am very strong in this area and believe my drawing techniques are a very good standard. This helps me research and design my future work. I can clearly design my work to how I want it to and keep it original and fresh. I am very confident in this area and believe this will help me in my future. Adobe Photoshop In this area I believe I have a good understanding of the software and can use it to a certain stranded. However I could improve on my skills slightly a bit more. I believe I am confident in the basic understanding of the software. Adobe Illustrator I am okay at illustrator and have improved my skills.in this area. However I could with certain skills such as the pen tool. I am confident in this area and believe I can use it at a certain level. An example of illustrator was creating my character. I brought in an image and used the pen tool to trace it and create my character. NewTek LightWave - Modeler I believe I am strong in this software and am confident in creating 3d models. Through the multiple tutorials I have a good understanding of the software and can produce a good detailed mode. Assignment Structure – Ask yourself the following questions: Are you clear about the timescale available? Yes I am clear about the timescale I have been set and what deadlines I must complete. Do you understand what elements of the unit are being assessed? Yes I understand very well what units are being assessed through tutors and the brief. Do you understand the scenario and the reasons for carrying out the assignment? Yes I understand the scenario as I have assessed and analysed the scenario and why we are carrying out each assignment. Have you visited the Second Life community and the SL Market Place? What are your impressions? I have visited the website and I believe that the websites are aimed at teenagers and the robot I saw all contain some sort of weapon What is your goal for this assignment? My goal is to complete my tasks on time and create a robot relevant to secondlife. Constraints – What is going to cause you problems in this project (technical, time, legal and ethical issues etc.) and what will you do to solve these problems? Time will be the biggest problem for me because I struggle spending a certain amount of time on each task.
