 We have discussed and worked with the Critical
Path Method
 In the critical path method you work backwards from
what you want to where you are now
 Each step in CPM makes sure that the step before it
and after it will connect seamlessly.
 We discovered the physical properties found on the
Moon.
 We researched what it would take to support life on
a long mission.

3. NOW
 We will be working on a conceptual design
 A conceptual design is a first idea of what you think
your project will look like.
 A conceptual design consists of drawings and short
descriptions of the final design
 This is sometimes called proof of concept: will it
work at least on paper
 This is your first step in designing the project for
this unit and will lead you to the final project for this
half of the course.
 Take this seriously and you will not have a problem
with the final project.
