Task 4

1. This is a poster based around the game
Watch Dogs. The image captures a character
sliding over a car, shooting his weapon
The graphics capture the snowy weather and
the shine of the car he is sliding over. From
this you can learn that this character is the
main character of the game
There was no text on this poster, but the
image portrays that the game is an action
game in the environment of a city.

2. This poster shows a character with military
clothing on and him holding a sniper. This
portrays that this is the main character.
The text is bold using the colours black and
red. The red represents blood and the black
represents the seriousness of warfare.
The poster also portrays their website so
viewers can visit it to find out more. Also the
characters face looks angry to imply that the
war he is in is deadly and vicious
The white background also implies that he is
a good guy ( a hero) of warfare who which is
trying to defeat the enemy.

3. This cover portrays 2 characters holding
weapons with a background image of what
looks to be a fantasy based battle field.
From this we know that these 2 characters
are the main characters.
The text is yellow and white to make it
stand out . The title of the game is of the
colours orange and yellow to portray fire .
The cover also tells us the date the game
will be out and also there is an image
showing the game cover for the ps3 game
case.
Furthermore, both characters are looking at
the viewer to grab their attention. In
addition, the blue colour used on the cover
could represent even space warfare as well
as fantasy / retro.

4. This is a poster for the alien apocalypse game Resistance
burning skies.
The main title is clear and big at the top of the poster with a
distorted font to add to the apocalypse style, it also has a
custom A to give it more originality
The main image is of the main character about to kill an alien
with a gun, the background is bright and similar to fire
representing the title
There is a small text box to tell the audience some
background in to the game about the main character and his
story.
At the bottom there is the PlayStation logo and a copy of the
game this shows it’s a PlayStation exclusive.

5. This is a poster for an article about bio shock we chose this
as it is a page trying to captivate the audience to read the
article
The title is simple however effective with a bold colour so
that it stands out from the rest of the page.
The text under the title explains what the article is about as
well as some insight to the game itself.
The main image is concept art created for the game it shows
the main characters big daddy and a little girl, the little girl
seems to be hesitant about big daddy killing the guy in his
grasp, this sends quite a dark theme through the readers
mind as well as the rain adding tot this mood.
At the bottom there is a small text box explain what the
image is about and who it is by

6. This is a poster for the game Trials Evolution an Indi
motorcycle race game that did very well in the market place
The title is large and clear with a dirty styled font with what
looks to be oil and dirt surrounding it. This is effective as it
represents what the game is about
The text under the titles the release date for the game this
informs readers when they can purchase the game for them
selves.
The main image is concept art of the characters you can play,
they are wearing motorcycle helmets telling the audience it is
about motorcycles. The background is grass and dirt fitting
in with the theme.
The text at the bottom show age rating of the game as well as
the company who made it, it also shows the logo for Xbox
live arcade, showing it will be an Xbox exclusive

7. This is an image advertisement for a game called prototype 2 a
well known video game.
This poster has no title but you can see what game it is if you
either recognise the character on the front or if you look at the
bottom you can see the name of the game on each of the
platforms it is on.
If you loot at the bottom of the poster you can see a description
of the game and you can see who developed and published the
game this is all clear to see but it isn't bold so that the main
image stands out more.
If you look at the bottom left of the poster you can see the age
rating for this game which is an eighteen due to mass violence
and other things like that which aren't suitable for a younger
audience.

8. This is a poster in a magazine of a game called Alien Colonial
Marines.
This is a game with aliens and humans and it is based in the
near future it is a thriller horror game which will keep you on
your toes.
The poster has a dark colour theme to it and it makes it look
really nice and appeal to the views eyes.
If you look at the badge in the middle of the poster you can
see that it says “Aliens emerges from the shadows” this is to
get the people looking at the magazine excited and wanting
to see more because it sounds interesting.

9. Here you can see a game called Halo 4 this games when it was realised was really hyped and allot of
people where excited and could wait for it to come out.
In the poster you can see a massive image of the master chief he is the character you play as and go
on a journey with to fight an enemy called the Covenant and the new enemies called the
prometheans.
The Poster has a badge on it which
say “Halo 4 the ring continues can
434 take it to new places” this is
written to get people excited and it
stands out allot because of it
background it is placed on.

10. Here you can see a poster for a game called Bloodborne a really exciting
RPG Horror.
In the poster you can see a man in the centre of the poster he is a
character which you play as who represents you the player.
On the poster you can see the date its available at the centre at the top of
the page this is to let people know that the game is available then and
they can get access to it then.
At the bottom of the page you can see that it is being advertised on the
PlayStation 4 this is to advertise the game as well as the consoles which
you can get it on this is an exclusive game for this console.
