0 How did you think about target audience?
I thought about target audience by researching my target audience and adding what I thought would appeal to the
audience. I also took certain pictures that would appeal to my target audience with the age group of the audience involved
in the images.
0 How did awareness of that audience impact upon your visual design and
choice of language?
It impacted my visual design as I used different types of text and colours to appeal to my audience. And I also put
cover lines on the magazine which I thought would appeal more to the magazine.
0 What key points did you learn about Adobe Photoshop and InDesign in
constructing your artefacts?
I learnt quite a lot of techniques in InDesign such as using columns and resizing text and putting text in the
correct places to make the magazine look better.
4. Reflections & feedback
0 What would you do differently next time?
Next time I would use my time given more wisely as that seemed to the main fault in my work. I would also plan
out my design more and have more designs to choose from rather than only having 3 designs to choose from. I
would run my design by couple of my targeted audience a bit more before submitting my design and making it
official as I was 100% sure it would appeal to my audience chosen.
0 What kind of feedback did you get that might
influence you?
The feedback I got was to improve the cover lines and to use more of a range of pictures which will help in the
future as it will allow me to experiment with my design choices.
0 What aspects of your understanding of Adobe
Photoshop & InDesign do you need to improve?
I need to improve my understanding on InDesign as I'm not very familiar with the program with any of the tools
as the program is very new to me. Improving my skills in InDesign will help a lot as it will allow my text to look
better and to also be positioned much better.
