I teach graphic and communication design. My seniors struggle
with creating their thesis projects; many are only invested with the
product and do not appreciate the design process, even after 3
years of higher education. I took this course to see how you teach it,
and I learned a lot.
First, I was being too vague with the students. And, when I was that
vague, it opened the door for them to not work hard. Your specifics
(especially on the Empathy Map and the Ideate portions) were really
helpful. I’m working with advanced students, but they still require
limits, and the limits you impose are great ones.
My Design Process Map is what we will do over the next 15 week
semester. Thank you so much, for this course, I’m looking forward to
the next!
