Talyrond is a modular range of roundness measuring instruments that are highly accurate and reliable. It measures the roundness of components by collecting data at different orientations and using a mathematical model to determine the component's roundness profile. The Talyrond 73 was used to measure the diameter variation of cylinders at different heights and of a ring gauge at six heights and azimuths, demonstrating its ability to detect small differences in diameter. Plug and snap gauges are common tools to check features like holes and threads within specified tolerances, with plug gauges checking both the minimum and maximum size and snap gauges checking in a single motion.
