Tableau Usage Essays
1. Create a map chart to show the number of banks in each zip code (variable name "zip". If you see more than one zip code for a bank, use the first
one).
I have created a symbol map chart (geographical) by taking Zip and Name dimensions. In order to find the number of banks in each zip code, I have
used the count function.
It can be seen that the number of banks are more on the east coast as compared to the west coast.
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Also for example, zipcode 62401 has 3 banks in it whereas 85390 zipcode has only one bank on the west coast.
2. Create a map chart to show the median ROE (variable "roe") for banks headquartered in each state ("state").
I have added geographic role to the...show more content...
I also added the variance function on ROA. For example for bkclass of SA for region Chicago, the variance of ROA is 223.
5. Explore the relationship between age of a bank (based on "estymd") and its efficiency level ("eeffr").
Age column has been added and derived from estymd in the "All_Reports_20080331_Performance and Condition Ratios" file. It is also used as a
dimension. We also take the average efficiency to find a relationship and made use of the line chart.
It can be noted that the efficiency of the oldest bank upto a bank whose age is 10 has been more or less consistent. The newer banks have a much
better efficiency whose ages is less than 10 years.
6. Create boxplots of the number of employees ("numemp") per bank in each FDIC region ("fdicdbs") (Note: you will need to link two tables in the
data, search the readme file to find out where those variables are).
I have used fdicdbs as a dimension (column) and changed numemp from measure to be used as a dimension (row). I used the box and whisker plot
chart and changed the axis to logarithmic for a better understanding of the representation.
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
This the Dallas region filtering.
7. Create a tree map on the number of total offices (domestic + foreign; "offdom" and "offfor") on the following hierarchy (1) FDIC region
("fdicdbs"); (2) state ("state"); (3) whether or not

Customary Law
1. INTRODUCTION Customary law is among other laws the most controversial and as a result raises a lot of questions among legal luminaries.
There are whole lots of reasons responsible for these and this research shall take time to address as many of these causes or reasons as possible. To
add salt to injury, the few authorities of customary law that still hold sway customary sources (in explaining the inconsistencies of the law of custom)
agrees that "all laws are custom but not all custom is the law" This job has been made easier thanks to Dr. B. O. Adediji (Reader) an erudite scholar
of the law, who practically gave the entire outline of the course that this research must sail (table of content) To display my scholastic content I have

This means that customary law which is not compatible with any existing enactment ought not to be enforced by the courts. The argument is that
existing customary laws must not be incompatible with any written law (Obilade 1991). (c) Public Policy Test: This means that a custom shall not
be enforced if it is contrary to public policy. The idea of public policy here implies the principle of judicial legislation or interpretation founded on
the current needs of the community. Anything that offends morality is contrary to public policy. That is moral values and ideas which are
prevalent in a society as a way of preserving its interest. Where a transaction is contrary to the policy of the laws or public policy, the law refuses
to enforce or recognize it on the ground that it has a mischievous tendency so as to be injurious to the interests of the state or the community. This
law is predicated on the interest, be it welfare, safety or advancement of the society at large. 3 4. MAKERS OF CUSTOMARY LAWS Before delving
into the issue of those who make customary laws, I would love to employ the expertise of a professional–Osborn C. J. Osborn pointed out one hundred
years ago (1908) in Lewis vs. Bankole still afflict the customary law today. Indeed, it is increasingly more complicated as the society transforms from a

My Experience At A Museum
I have visited countless museums in my lifetime, and throughout these experiences I have noticed a general pattern in the museum visitors. Often times
they grant only a slight glance at the pieces, and allocate their energy in to taking pictures with the pieces rather than taking the time to learn about the
art. On the contrary, I view museums as a place of learning, where culture is preserved and diversity is celebrated, where creativity is fostered and
exploration is welcomed. My interest in interning at the Smithsonian Institution stems from the idea that museums are a place to gain knowledge.
Through my experience as a docent at the Wellin Museum of Art at Hamilton College and leading tours for students and adults of various ages, I have
seen the importance of a teaching museum, where the main goal is to educate. There is nothing more rewarding than helping kids learn about the world
through the lens of art, or enlightening a trustee of the College about a work of their interest. The Smithsonian Institution's goal of increasing and
diffusing knowledge parallels my ideal view of what a museum's values should entail. I aspire to intern at the Smithsonian in order to positively
contribute and support the Institution's goals and values, and have a unique learning experience. As a sophomore at Hamilton College, I have had
numerous internship experiences in the past. In the summer of 2016, I interned at the Albany District Attorney's Office. Aside from a deeper

Sagmeister Essay
Introduction How art is presented in a museum is based off guidelines. The shows cannot be too crowded, there has to be a flow to the pieces, and
there has to be a concept behind the curation of the art. This process can take years depending on the size of the show; both floor plans and 3D
models are created to curate shows. Shows in other countries and cities will follow similar guidelines. Some exhibits may have more money put into
them and more thought about the curation, but generally there will be a concept, and flow to the pieces shown. I walked around the impressionist and
post–impressionist exhibit in the Chicago Institute of Arts, passing wildly famous pieces such as A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte
and countless...show more content...
Sagmeister is famous for his installation artwork that is shown all over the world. Sagmeister is Austrian born, whose career started at age 15
writing for a magazine, leading to his interest in the layout of his articles instead of actually writing them. As a student, he studied in both Vienna,
Austria and New York City, USA. The thought put into his installations revolves around the idea of happiness and one's self where not only is his
goal to make others happy with his work, but also to make himself happy. Sagmeister works famously with typography in his pieces as well as the
color yellow. The goal of his art is to invoke a response from the audience, to make them have strong feelings about his art, which is expressed in
his series of works "What I've Learned in my Life So Far". The works shown in his booklets highlight the creative process of his works. In his pieces,
there is ultimately a story behind them; a story that drives the piece to become what you see on the wall, billboard, sign, etc. The stories inspire the
installation but despite each story being vastly different, there is a common theme throughout most of his works, what is important in life and what
makes you

What Makes A Monster? Essay
What defines a monster? Is it their grotesque, unnatural appearance that separates them from the rest of mankind, or is it their lack of remorse and
compassion that makes them different? The word monster conjures up figures from gothic horror of exotic peoples with horrifyingly exaggerated
features, and the kinds of impossible delusive beasts inhabiting the pages of medieval bestiaries. Well at first I thought exactly that. When I used to
hear the word "monster", my mind immediately pictured the petrifying beast that took residence under my bed for a substantial portion of my
childhood. It had demonic beating red eyes, razor sharp teeth that glistened with fresh blood and amphibian like scales covering every inch of its
enormous body. However, as I got older, I started to realize that there was no such thing as monsters and that it was all just a figment of my
imagination. Accordingly, the fear of the monster under my bed slowly dissipated. Nevertheless, it wasn't until after reading a quote by my favorite
author, Steven King, that I was finally able to fully comprehend what the true definition of the word "monster" really was. "Monsters are real, ghosts
are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win". It had taken me awhile to truly grasp what King had meant, but then it clicked. Everyone
has a monster inside them, dormant or not. That monster is the voice we hear in the back of our heads, urging us to cheat or to steal, and in some
instances, worse. That monster

The Custom House
Custom–House, in order to not only introduce his prior autobiographical writing, but describe how he came about creating his novel. In the
Custom–House, the narrator works as a surveyor in the Salem Custom–House. He is surrounded by an aged group of workers, who pass time by
sleeping and repeating various stories of their lives as sailors. The narrator, who believes his life and job are becoming rather frivolous, stumbles
across a document that seemed to be untouched by humans for a large period of time. It was an "idle and rainy day" when Hawthorne discovered what
he explains to be the Scarlet Letter. He is wandering through the second story of the Custom–House and finds himself in a large, barren room in which
the run down walls are unfinished and the ceiling's uncovered rafters...show more content...
He then shudders and lets the letter fall to the floor. Hawthorne does not realize there is yet another piece of paper that had been wrapped up inside
the letter. The writings in this paper explains occurrences and past events of the life of a woman named Hester Prynne. Pue writes about how she
lived her life as a voluntary nurse, carrying out as much good as possible in her life. As Hawthorne digs deeper into the documents he found, he
discovers more stories of the woman, the author referring to the Scarlet Letter several times throughout his writings. Hawthorne lastly describes his
feelings about what to do next with the package he found. He ponders over the stories of Hester Prynne, believing that the stories are the doorway to
creating his own novel. He even elucidates how he felt as if Surveyor Pue's ghost emphatically urged him to share the information with the public.
Nathaniel Hawthorne eventually does share his information through his own words, in the novel he constructs, titled The Scarlet

Customs and courtesies Essay
US Army Customs and Courtesies A custom is a social norm stemming from tradition and enforced as an unwritten law. A courtesy is a respectful
behavior often linked to a custom. A military courtesy is such behavior extended to a person or thing that honors them in some way. Military customs
and courtesies define the profession of arms. When you display military customs and courtesies in various situations, you demonstrate to yourself and
others your commitment to duty, honor, and country. And your professionalism and pride. As a new soldier and future Army leader, you must
recognize that military customs and courtesies are your constant means of showing that the standard of conduct for officers and Soldiers is high and

PARADE REST: Like "Attention", Parade Rest is a form of respect given to NCOs by those junior in rank. When a Senior NCO enters an area of
junior enlisted soldiers or cadets, the room is called to "at ease". All personnelshould immediately go to the position of "stand at–ease" until told to
"carry–on". Likewise, when speaking to an NCO, soldiers junior in rank or cadets, will maintain the position of "parade rest" until instructed to "stand
at ease", "at ease", or "rest"/relax. Things you should never do or say: Never criticize the Army or a leader in public. Never go "over the heads" of
superiors–don't jump the chain of command. Never offer excuses. Never "wear" a superior's rank by saying something like, "the first sergeant
wants this done now," when in fact the first sergeant said no such thing. Speak with your own voice. Never turn and walk away to avoid giving the
hand salute. Never run indoors or pretend you don't hear (while driving, for example) to avoid standing reveille or retreat. Never appear in uniform
while under the influence of alcohol. If you don't know the answer to a superior's question, you will never go wrong with the response, "I don't know

meet the minimum standards while issuing the operation order to her team. SNC demonstrated command presence and confidence, which made it
clear and concise for each member to completely comprehend. As the team began to move from the assembly area, the team got relaxes at the fact
that there was no enemy presence detected as members of the squad were seen moving down Buffalo Pond Rd, not utilizing the proper tactical carry.
At the point of friction, SNC was surprised and didn't know how to resolve the confrontation from the angry villagers and briefly panicked when sniper

MAKERS OF CUSTOMARY LAWS Before delving into the issue of those who make customary laws, I would love to employ the expertise of a professional–Osborn C. J. • 4. My Experience At A Museum I have visited countless museums in my lifetime, and throughout these experiences I have noticed a general pattern in the museum visitors. Often times they grant only a slight glance at the pieces, and allocate their energy in to taking pictures with the pieces rather than taking the time to learn about the art. On the contrary, I view museums as a place of learning, where culture is preserved and diversity is celebrated, where creativity is fostered and exploration is welcomed. My interest in interning at the Smithsonian Institution stems from the idea that museums are a place to gain knowledge. Through my experience as a docent at the Wellin Museum of Art at Hamilton College and leading tours for students and adults of various ages, I have seen the importance of a teaching museum, where the main goal is to educate. There is nothing more rewarding than helping kids learn about the world through the lens of art, or enlightening a trustee of the College about a work of their interest. The Smithsonian Institution's goal of increasing and diffusing knowledge parallels my ideal view of what a museum's values should entail. I aspire to intern at the Smithsonian in order to positively contribute and support the Institution's goals and values, and have a unique learning experience. As a sophomore at Hamilton College, I have had numerous internship experiences in the past. In the summer of 2016, I interned at the Albany District Attorney's Office. • 5. Sagmeister Essay Introduction How art is presented in a museum is based off guidelines. The shows cannot be too crowded, there has to be a flow to the pieces, and there has to be a concept behind the curation of the art. This process can take years depending on the size of the show; both floor plans and 3D models are created to curate shows. Shows in other countries and cities will follow similar guidelines. Some exhibits may have more money put into them and more thought about the curation, but generally there will be a concept, and flow to the pieces shown. I walked around the impressionist and post–impressionist exhibit in the Chicago Institute of Arts, passing wildly famous pieces such as A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte and countless...show more content... Sagmeister is famous for his installation artwork that is shown all over the world. Sagmeister is Austrian born, whose career started at age 15 writing for a magazine, leading to his interest in the layout of his articles instead of actually writing them. As a student, he studied in both Vienna, Austria and New York City, USA. The thought put into his installations revolves around the idea of happiness and one's self where not only is his goal to make others happy with his work, but also to make himself happy. Sagmeister works famously with typography in his pieces as well as the color yellow. The goal of his art is to invoke a response from the audience, to make them have strong feelings about his art, which is expressed in his series of works "What I've Learned in my Life So Far". The works shown in his booklets highlight the creative process of his works. In his pieces, there is ultimately a story behind them; a story that drives the piece to become what you see on the wall, billboard, sign, etc. The stories inspire the installation but despite each story being vastly different, there is a common theme throughout most of his works, what is important in life and what makes you Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. What Makes A Monster? Essay What defines a monster? Is it their grotesque, unnatural appearance that separates them from the rest of mankind, or is it their lack of remorse and compassion that makes them different? The word monster conjures up figures from gothic horror of exotic peoples with horrifyingly exaggerated features, and the kinds of impossible delusive beasts inhabiting the pages of medieval bestiaries. Well at first I thought exactly that. When I used to hear the word "monster", my mind immediately pictured the petrifying beast that took residence under my bed for a substantial portion of my childhood. It had demonic beating red eyes, razor sharp teeth that glistened with fresh blood and amphibian like scales covering every inch of its enormous body. However, as I got older, I started to realize that there was no such thing as monsters and that it was all just a figment of my imagination. Accordingly, the fear of the monster under my bed slowly dissipated. Nevertheless, it wasn't until after reading a quote by my favorite author, Steven King, that I was finally able to fully comprehend what the true definition of the word "monster" really was. "Monsters are real, ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win". It had taken me awhile to truly grasp what King had meant, but then it clicked. Everyone has a monster inside them, dormant or not. That monster is the voice we hear in the back of our heads, urging us to cheat or to steal, and in some instances, worse. That monster Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. The Custom House Custom–House, in order to not only introduce his prior autobiographical writing, but describe how he came about creating his novel. In the Custom–House, the narrator works as a surveyor in the Salem Custom–House. He is surrounded by an aged group of workers, who pass time by sleeping and repeating various stories of their lives as sailors. The narrator, who believes his life and job are becoming rather frivolous, stumbles across a document that seemed to be untouched by humans for a large period of time. It was an "idle and rainy day" when Hawthorne discovered what he explains to be the Scarlet Letter. He is wandering through the second story of the Custom–House and finds himself in a large, barren room in which the run down walls are unfinished and the ceiling's uncovered rafters...show more content... He then shudders and lets the letter fall to the floor. Hawthorne does not realize there is yet another piece of paper that had been wrapped up inside the letter. The writings in this paper explains occurrences and past events of the life of a woman named Hester Prynne. Pue writes about how she lived her life as a voluntary nurse, carrying out as much good as possible in her life. As Hawthorne digs deeper into the documents he found, he discovers more stories of the woman, the author referring to the Scarlet Letter several times throughout his writings. Hawthorne lastly describes his feelings about what to do next with the package he found. He ponders over the stories of Hester Prynne, believing that the stories are the doorway to creating his own novel. He even elucidates how he felt as if Surveyor Pue's ghost emphatically urged him to share the information with the public.
