Help Desk Technician - September 11 2011 to Present
Data Network Technician for the United States Marine Corps- responsible for the
installation, configuring, and management of data network systems in both stand-alone and
client-server environments, including Microsoft based curriculum on MS Exchange/Server,
CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) modules 1,2,3, and 4, Comptia A+ as well as
other authorized data network systems. Plan and execute the integration of multiple
information systems, to include Data Distribution System-Replacement/Modular (DDS-R/M),
in a network environment, evaluate and resolve customer information systems problems,
and effect required hardware upgrades and
repair to maintain mission capability. Responsible for management of 25 virtual and
physical servers and a Secure network of over 400 virtual machines. Trained 20 employees
in the daily operations of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Blackberry
troubleshooting. The administration and maintenance of enterprise level Windows
2003/2008 domain controllers, e-mail, web, print and database systems for multiple sites.
Worked closely with the Information Assurance team by managing Windows Server Update
Service (WSUS), ensuring virus protection (Symantec and McAfee), making registry
configurations and enforcing policy required to maintain the availability and security of the
