together Program - Poster Board Recap; Carers NSW Carers Conference 2015, Syd...togetherprogram
The together program provides opportunities for existing and new support groups (for carers of people with disability in New South Wales) to be linked in with each other and an organisation to receive some assistance.
The together: Support groups for carers of people with a disability in NSW program came about through an unmet need for a funded, coordinated, state-wide network of support groups for carers of people living with disability.
The together program is centrally managed by Carers NSW and funded by the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, Ageing, Disability and Home Care.
The together program provides:
* Structured support to support groups for carers of people with disability, including training, education and support for the facilitator.
* Funding to assist with some group costs that can include venue hire, administration, resources and guest speakers.
* Central coordination of support groups for carers of people with disability.
* Capacity building for organisations working with support groups for carers of people with disability.
The together program seeks to address the needs of support groups for carers of people with disability that are unmet by other programs funded by other sources in New South Wales.

Kidney disease usually progresses silently, often destroying
most of the kidney function before causing any symptoms.
Therefore, people at risk of developing kidney disease should
be evaluated regularly. These people include those with
diabetes, high blood pressure or blood vessel diseases, and
close relatives of people with hereditary kidney disease.

It's counter-intuitive isn't it?
To do things better and faster, you actually have to stop

We believe that the trees in our forest are our donors. To do
your best, you need to know your donors on a truly human

Questions for Fund Development for on-going strategic planning
Where have we been in terms of fundraising and fund development?
Where are we now in terns of fundraising and fund development?
Where do we want to be in terms of fundraising and fund development?
Are we being philanthropic or begging for money?
How do we currently fundraise?
Are we utilizing resources in the best possible way?
What tools/resources do we need to be better fundraisers?
Why are we fundraising?
What is our case for support?
Are we fundraising in the short-term or looking at the bigger picture?
How are we measuring success in terms of fundraising?
Are we communicating the impact we make in the community when we are
fundraising?
Board Information & Recruitment
26. Volunteer Engagement
Our strategic plan is to motivate staff, volunteers and donors through
empowerment, support and a strengthened educational strategy that will assist in
the successful solicitation, effective stewardship and donor and volunteer retention

you motivated? Who motivates you? How would you motivate others to contribute
time or other resources to our organization?
Board Information & Recruitment
27. Alignment
As a board member what recommendation can you make around how
we align cash, competency and capacity to effect programs,
community engagement, fund development and volunteer/staff
engagement?
How do we set goals as volunteers and staff? How do we measure
these goals? How do we learn from our metrics and outcomes?
How do we integrate development of all the pillars of the
