Creating a Shared Vision for a Community, presented by Marsha Murrington, And...craigslist_fndn
To create a vision for the future and long-term change in a community, it’s essential to have a strong, well-conceived community engagement plan and process that allows the voices within the community to be heard. Having outsiders and experts apply their values and preconceived notions of what a community needs is a recipe for failure. This session is led by three skilled change agents, with experiences working across boundaries in a variety of communities. They share their insights, stories, and approaches for bringing people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and generations together to envision what they want their neighborhoods and communities to become, determine priorities, address problems and issues, and take greater responsibility for where they live, work, and play.

For many years, organizations that have been recognized as best places to work have received that recognition because they have cultures that create the conditions for people to thrive personally and professionally. Cultures in organizations that are good places to work develop environments in which people work together in support of the mission and vision.

A joint event between South Wales & West of England branch and Women in Project Management (WiPM) SIG, this served as an introduction for the branch membership to the WiPM SIG; its activities, volunteering opportunities and the 21st anniversary celebrations, as well as diversity initiatives. The WiPM chair Teri Okoro, introduced this session.
This session helped delegates to:
- Understand the positive benefits of diversity
- Identify how and why diversity may impact on change and PM3 outcome
- Explore tools and techniques to help you be smarter in the use of diversity to achieve balanced teams and improved outcomes.
The presentation focussed on reviewing your own experiences in teams and organisations, assessing strengths and gaps.
Discussions helped delegates to understand where they needed to improve awareness, pay attention or plan changes.
The identification of personal values and the development of personal visioning skills are always highlights of The Leadership Challenge Workshop. However, as articulating organizational values and vision are fundamental to building a robust and healthy culture, a gap often exists in making explicit links between individual and group understanding of these fundamental concepts. In this interactive session, we will demonstrate how to better connect personal fluency to a coherent set of organizational values and vision. We will share examples from the field as well as practical tools to put these links into action in any organization.
Dan Schwab began working with authors Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner in the early days of The Leadership Challenge® Workshop and is now a Certified Master. An accomplished leadership trainer and coach, Dan has led organizational improvement efforts with myriad clients from the corporate and non- profit sectors over the past 20 years.
Evans Kerrigan is an experienced facilitator and trainer with over 20 years working with leaders across a range of industries. He helps clients become Healthier Organizations by applying The Five Practices with individual leaders as well as working with those leaders to see how they can apply the model more broadly to their organizational culture. He is a Certified-Master-in-Training.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
