according to a report by the association for risk management professionals Airmic.

Out of the 9.6 million gallons of milk delivered to their
processing plant monthly, 90,000 gallons are lost,
equivalent to about 1%. (Capstone Report, 2016)
The plant also reported that 0.25% of product is lost during
transportation from the plant to the retailer.

6. Food losses that can be allocated to transport could be reduced by information transparency across the supply by 30%
(Arivazhagan,2015). Nowadays not much information is shared along the supply chain, due to the difficulty to get these
information.
