Summary Analysis Essay
Crafting a Summary Analysis Essay can be a challenging endeavor that demands a delicate
balance between succinctness and depth. The intricacies lie in distilling the essence of a text
while providing insightful analysis, navigating the fine line between brevity and completeness.
Firstly, summarizing the key points of a piece requires a keen understanding of the material. It
involves identifying the core ideas, main arguments, and supporting details. Condensing a
complex narrative or argument into a concise form without losing its essence requires careful
consideration and a thorough grasp of the subject matter.
Analysis, on the other hand, adds another layer of complexity. It involves delving beyond the
surface, examining the underlying themes, motivations, and implications. Analyzing the
significance of the summarized information necessitates critical thinking and the ability to
connect disparate elements cohesively.
Moreover, maintaining a coherent structure is crucial. Balancing the summary and analysis
sections while ensuring a smooth transition between them can be a daunting task. The essay must
flow logically, guiding the reader through the summarized content and seamlessly transitioning
into a thoughtful analysis without abrupt shifts.
The challenge is heightened by the need to avoid excessive personal opinions. While analysis
involves interpretation, it should be grounded in the text's objective elements. Striking a balance
between subjective insights and objective analysis is pivotal to maintaining the essay's credibility.
In addition, time management is a factor that cannot be overlooked. Efficiently allocating time
for reading, summarizing, analyzing, and refining the essay is essential. Rushing through any of
these stages may compromise the quality of the final product.
In conclusion, crafting a Summary Analysis Essay demands a combination of reading
comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills. Striking the right balance between summary
and analysis, maintaining a coherent structure, and managing time effectively are integral to
overcoming the inherent challenges of this task.

Analysis Of Erika Schickel s Magic Hour
Los Angeles, the City of Angels, is filled with various cultures and people from
around the world. Los Angeles is known for many things from our food to the
Griffith Observatory or the Hollywood sign. Los Angeles is often referred to as the
melting pot of cultures. Often portrayed in the movies, people come to Los Angelesto
be the next movie star and live a glamorous life filled with over the top parties, but
Another Citychallenges that idea. Magic Hour shows Los Angeles a not so
glamorous side of LA, but also shows the beauty of Los Angeles. In Another City:
Writings From Los Angeles edited by David L. Ulin, a collection of short stories
and poems about Los Angeles, the writers write about coming to Los Angeles or
growing up in LA and how this city shapes the residents identities and how Los
Angeles is seen to outsiders and residents. Magic Hour is about Erika Schickel
views on Los Angeles and how it shapes her and her views on the city, she explores
the relationship between herself and the city.
Magic Hour by Erika Schickel is about Schickel s leaving her old life in New York
and moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. On a page of Magic Hour,
Schickel writes, Lonely, broke, homesick. I could not remember who I was, who I
had been, who I hoped to be (Schickel 65.) Living in Los Angeles makes the author
question who she is and if the life she wants is worth of pursuing. Schickel s
relationship with Los Angeles is not ideal at the beginning.
How Does Truman Capote Use Imagery In A Christmas
Memory
In Truman Capote s short story A Christmas Memory imagery and symbolism are
used by the author to show that friendship has no age limit. Truman uses very vivid
details and many different types of figurative language to show his theme ,which
is that friendship has no age. An example of symbolism is, As if I expected to see,
rather like hearts, a lost pair of kites hurrying toward heaven (6). After getting the
news of his friend s death, he goes outside and almost expects to see kites. In this
example of symbolism, the author shows us how deep a bond Buddy and his friend
have by showing us a glimpse of Buddy s mind and how his heart is going to heaven
with his friend. Furthermore, the author uses some imagery when he gives us a vivid

What Is Moonrise Kingdom Essay
Description of the storyline
The story takes place in the Summer of 1965 on a new England Island called New
Penzance.
В« Moonrise Kingdom В» is the story of two pre teenagers who fall in love: Sam
Suzi. Sam is a little Scout, spending his Summer at Camp of the Khaki Scouts and
he is clearly the most unpopular scout of Camp. Suzi lives with her parents and her
three little brothers but she doesn t seem close to her family.
Sam Suzi had been pen pals for months and they had planned to run away together in
the Summer.
Scoutmaster Randy Ward, the Scouts and Police Captain Sharp track the two young
lovers. During the investigation, it is revealed that Sam is an orphan and that his
adoptive parents don t want to take him back. At the same time, ... Show more content

Family is now secondary. A lack of communication between parents and child can
lead to a frustrated child. This situation can create distance, trust issues, emotional
problems, lack of respect,... It can also negatively affect the self esteem of the child.
Some children don t know how to communicate with the others so they use force or
aggression to communicate.
Communication is essential for the development of
the child. A good communication helps the child to feel safe and secure. The child
can openly talk about his/her problems, express his/her feelings, explain this to his
/her parents,... When the communication is absent, the child cannot express his/her
opinions, discuss things that bother him/her,... The consequence of this situation may
be severe: frustration, running away, violence, self mutilation, suicide,...
In the movie В« Moonrise Kingdom В», when Suzi meets Sam she decides to run
away with him and goes away from her parents. It is also common for Suzi to use
violence as a way to communicate.
An effective communication between parents and child is vital: it helps the child to
feel safe et secure, it helps the child in his/her social and affective
Essay on The Atomic Cafe
The Atomic Cafe The Atomic Cafe is a 1982 documentary film compiled of clips
from government propaganda, training films, news stories, advertisements and other
media from the 1940 s through the 1950 s. Many films were prepared by the U.S.
government either for the military or for its citizens to view. The form of Atomic
Cafe was unique for documentaries. It was produced entirely of different film
sources edited together, without narration. The film made its points solely through
the selection and order of the clips included in the documentary. The purpose of the
film was to show the American people of the 1980 s exactly how the government
distributed propaganda and deceived the American citizens of the 1950 s. Atomic
Cafe is a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The government knew that such actions and the Duck and Cover methods
recommended in schools would, in fact, provide absolutely no protection against
exposure to fallout. The government also promoted building a fallout shelter,
stocked with supplies of canned goods, as a way to survive atomic war. This was
only a partial truth, since a shelter could protect from radiation, but not from fire
storms. The filmmakers main ideas are that the government misled and lied to the
people of the U.S. so that they would believe that the atomic bomb would have no
effect on their health and security, that we should question if the government should
have lied to the American people, and to make us question whether or not the
citizens of the U.S. would continue to be as naive as the people of the 1950 s. I do
mostly agree with the filmmakers thesis. It is obvious that the government was lying
and misleading the people of the U.S. regarding the ability to survive nuclear war. I
don t think that it was entirely right that the government lied to the U.S. people. I don
t believe it was the government s place or choice to withhold such important
information. Citizens have a right to know, but in cases, it s better for them to not
know to prevent riots and episodes of mass hysteria. If the citizens had known all the
facts about the horrible consequences of a nuclear war, there might have been more
opposition to the continuing
Texas Football Game Analysis
The Texans won nine games in 2014 15, but just two of those victories came
against teams with a record above .500. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who started at
quarterback the majority of Houston s games last season, is suddenly the Jets
starting quarterback. Texans head coach Bill O Brien has yet to name a starting
quarterback this season, setting up a battle between Ryan Mallett and recently
acquired Brian Hoyer. In his rookie season, 2014 No. 1 overall draft pick Jadeveon
Clowney played in just four games and failed to record a sack. Clowney will be
expected to show the world why the Texans thought he was worth a No. 1 overall
pick, and Houston will attempt to reach the postseason for the first time since the
2012 13 season.

Alex Smith had another solid season (3,265 passing yards, 18 passing touchdowns)
with a 93.4 quarterback rating and throwing just six interceptions. Jamaal Charles
rushed for 1,033 yards, and although he was in and out of the Chiefs lineup
throughout the season because of nagging injuries, backup running back Knile
Davis showed promise. The Chiefs defense even finished seventh in the league in
total yards allowed last season So, why didn t Kansas City finish with a better
record? Look no further than the teams receiving corps, which failed to haul in one
catch for a touchdown last season. Kansas City s wide receivers don t seem to be
much better this season, but the addition of Jeremy Maclin should help. It s safe to
say Maclin should catch at least one touchdown this season, which would be more
than every receiver on the roster a season
Rene Descartes Meditations on First Philosophy
In Rene Descartes, Meditations on First Philosophy, Descartes does and experiment
with wax to try to prove that things actually exist in this world. This essay is going
to prove how we can tell that things actually exist and what can perceive the wax.
Rene Descartes starts off with a description of the wax so he can prove to us the
changes that will happen throughout his experiment.
Let us take, for instance, this piece of wax. It has been taken quite recently from
the honeycomb; it has not yet lost all the honey flavor. It retains some of the scent
of the flowers from which it was collected. Its color, shape, and size are manifest. It
is hard and cold; it is easy to touch. If you rap on it with your ... Show more content

He then tells us his final perspective on how he perceives the wax. It remains then for
me to concede that I do not grasp what this wax is through the imagination; rather, I
perceive it through the mind alone. (Descartes, 22) He ends his argument on how
he perceives the wax with telling us that it is not our imagination that grasps all of
the perceptions of the wax, but the mind that does it. Rene Descartes just proved to
us that our imagination is not able to grasp all of the perceptions of the wax but
the mind is. After proving that theory he suddenly starts to doubt his proof. But
meanwhile I marvel at how prone my mind is to errors. (Descartes, 22) He states
that his mind is prone to making errors. For example; For we say we see the wax
itself, if it is present, and not that we judge it to be present from its color or shape.
(Descartes, 22) He thinks a mistake our minds make is when we judge that it is
wax by just looking at it and not paying any attention to any of the forms. For this
reason he is claiming that he still is not sure that the mind can actually perceive the
wax due to it making mistakes. Back to what Rene Descartes said earlier about the
imagination not being able to grasp all of what we need to perceive about the wax.
He told us the imagination was unable to grasp it all but now
Jonathan Spence s The Death Of Woman Wang
Chinese women have historically retained highly circumscribed roles and statuses
that rendered them inferior to their male corollaries. The gender status quo was
predicated on a definition of gender as a cultural construct that is performed rather
than rooted in biology. Throughout Chinese history, the women s role in the family
was paramount as conceptualized by the concept of Yin and Yang. While men are
associated with Yang, the darker and robust force, while Yin represented the cooler
and passive femaleforce. As such, the Chinese ascribed to the separate spheres
ideology which relegated women to the private sphere within the home while the
public sphere was a male preserve. Jonathan Spence s The Death of WomanWang

this fictitious story reveals how the intersectionality of class and gender
unequivocally shaped the quotidian experiences while also dictating how women
comported themselves. Huang Liu hung grappled with adjudicating the Wang

mores in imperial China. This episode paves the way for a meaningful discussion
about the plight of women in traditional Chinese society. The sordid death of

were in imperial China due to their perceived inferiority and lack of agency in the

The Book of Psalms Essay
There are 150 psalms in the Book of Psalms that were written over the span of 800
years. Most of the Psalms written were made to be sung. There are two main
genres of Psalms, which are laments and hymns. David is know to have written 73
psalms, Asaph wrote 12, the sons of Korah wrote 11, Solomon wrote 2, Moses wrote

author of the majority of the Psalms.
The title of the Psalm is not always a direct indicator of who the author was because

title of the psalm was Psalm of David it could have been a psalm that he wrote
himself. It also could have been one that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At this time in the ancient world a tent was used as God s holy place, and this tent
was located on the holy hill. The psalmist also asks in verse 1 who may go on the
holy hill where the temple is located. It seems as though the psalmists would actually
like to go to this holy place for themselves but is reserved about actually going
because he knows that God has strict limitations as to who can actually enter the holy
temple.
The next part of the psalm directly answers the two questions asked in verse 1. In
verse 2 the David gives a general answer of the type of person that is able to dwell
in God s place. In later verses the psalmist goes on to describe in detail exactly what
kind of person will be admitted into the temple located on Zion . Verse 2 states that
the acceptable person is one who can walk blamelessly, do what is right, and a
person who speaks the truth. This answer is very general, but it does a great job of
explaining what kind of person can enter the temple. It does not mention that the
person who wants to enter the temple has to be completely perfect. That is an
important thing because no human is perfect and if it took perfection to worship in
the temple, it would be an empty place. This answer to what kind of person may enter
is just explaining that at the point of entrance into the temple it is necessary for all
wrong doings to have been forgiven and all sins to have been repented of. No man
can walk
The Fuller Invented Pieces Of Theatrical Lighting...
Loie Fuller invented pieces of theatrical lighting equipment. She created a unique art
form by crafting multi media spectacles out of fabric, motion and light. In Fuller s
autobiography, she talks about how the glass of the rose windows in the great
cathedral had rays of sunlight that came on into the church in different directions, and
made it very colorful. I think this is a moment that inspired her. It was something that
caught her attention, and she just couldn t simply take her mind from it. This was
something that encouraged her to keep digging into the things lights and colors can
do in dance. In one of her videos, it shows her twirling her dress in many different
ways while her dress is also changing colors. This was very unexpected for me. It
was different and it made me think about the things she had to do to make this idea
into a creation. I was also able to see how the lights reflecting in the church inspired
her because the color of her dress kept changing as she twirled so smoothly. It was
very settle and something you wouldn t usually notice right away like the lights in
the church. In the reading, she states, What is the dance? It is motion. What is
motion? The expression of a sensation. What is a sensation? The reaction in the
human body produced by an impression or an idea perceived by the mind. A
sensation is the reverberation that the body receives when an impression strikes the
mind. (Fuller, 17). She is explaining the thought process that she goes

Biography Of Pierre Fauchard, A French Dentist,...
Pierre Fauchard, a French dentist, revolutionized the dentistry world in the eighteenth
century. The origination of the modern dentistry can be linked back to his career and
home life. Notable contributions had been made to the development of the dental
profession. In the 18th century, Fauchard published a textbook, Le Chirurgien
Dentiste, which detailed several dental techniques and dental procedures. Fauchard
was recognized as the leading center for the dental field, the father of modern
dentistry. Although Fauchard was of French origin, most of his ideas emerged in
America and greatly impacted the establishment of dentistry there. He took away the
older views of hidden secrets and engendered a epoch of accessibility and knowledge

Fauchard made several contributions towards the dentistry field, especially through
the advancements in dental instruments. In the 1800 s, there was an uprising of

My decision to pursue orthopedic surgery as a career did not come until my third
year of medical school. It was truly solidified after spending time in the trenches with
orthopedic residents and attendings during my subinterships when it became clear
that nothing else could possibly compare to this specialty, and in fact, nothing else
even comes close. Although I did not make up my mind until later into my medical
training, I view this as a positive. I gave a wide range of specialties consideration,
and armed with that information I was able to make an informed decision. Everything

Johannes Brahms Live Performance
Johannes Brahms was a German composer and pianist he was born in Hamburg ,
however, he spent much of his professional life in Vienna, Austria. Brahms is
frequently considered both a traditionalist and an innovator. His music is
embedded in the arrangements and compositional practices of the Baroque and
Classical leaders. Brahms intended to honor the purity of the German structures
and develop them into a Romantic idiom, in the process of creating fresh daring
methodologies to harmony and melody (Swa. Johna. 5 10). The thorough, highly
constructed nature of Brahms work was an introduction and a muse for a
generation of composers. My first witness of a live performance of Brahms
Scherzo in C Minor from F A E sonata was in Brooklyn College. The performance
was held in studio 312, where seating was on a stadium like platform and the stage
on a flat surface with red curtains behind it. It was a bit more than what I had
expected. I was expecting some sort of lecture with mediocre performances. The
venue also consisted of stage lights similar to the ones at modern day concerts.

Humans and Their Ability to Make Mistakes
Humans And Their Ability To Make Mistakes
In today s pop culture, there is one very popular view of the future.
All humans will be free to do as they wish, because robots and computers will work
for us. Computers are viewed as the ideal slaves. They work non stop, never
complain, and above all, never make mistakes. It is often said that computers don t
make mistakes, that it is the person using the computer who commits errors.
What is it that makes humans err, but not computers? I will prove that it is simply the
way humans are built that makes us commit errors. Unlike computers, built of
mechanical or electronic parts, humans are made of organic matter and nerve

The reason he committed errors was simply that he was doing an action faster that
his brain and eyes could handle with 100% accuracy. It seems that our brains can
compute complex operations that allow us to drive a car through terrible weather
conditions, at night, but all these operations cannot be accomplished within too short
a time limit. So far, we have discussed the speed at which the brain can compute
operations without error. We must consider other factors which can also lead to
mistakes. To explain other types of error, I will use a terminology developed and
used by the philosopher Bertrand Russell. He identifies something called sense data.
Sense data is the data received by our senses from the object being
sensed . For instance, if a person is looking at a red apple, the shape and color and all
other aspects of this apple are received in the form of sense data.
In the case of the man adding up the numbers, he mistook a 7 for a 1. What really
happened is that his senses misidentified the number. The sense data was received by
his eyes, which then converted this information into an electrical signal to be sent to
the brain for analysis. There are thus two possibilities.
Either the eyes did not transform the signal of the 7 properly, or the brain
misunderstood the signal received from the eyes. In both cases, the sense data was
analyzed incorrectly, leading to an error in the final calculation. Some skeptics might
criticize my position by

chordal structure to smoothly transition from verse to bridge.
Bridge 1:
As a result of the verse having a bar added to the end, the first phrase of both
bridges have 5 bars thus mimicking the lead in from verse to bridge making the
song stable again. Harmonically the start and the end of both bridges tonally are
quite unstable. The bridge is an unusual 11 and a half measures long and sees the
introduction of a walking Bass line and drums with emphasis on tapping cymbals.
Melodically the main vocal tends to fall throughout the most part of the bridge, barely
rising until the major melody swell that leads to the next verse.
Verse 3:
Verse 3 has the addition of backing vocals in thirds. There is also the introduction
of a stray backing vocal as well. The stray vocal so let it out and let it in leads into
the lyrical ideas found in the next bridge. The tambourine in this verse is more
frequent and played now as semi quavers.
Bridge 2: Bridge 2 mirrors bridge 1 harmonically and musically with only slight
variance in lyrics and slightly more ornate lead vocals with more passing notes but
still sticking to the diatonic Fmajor the majority of the time..
Verse 4:
In verse 4 there is a vocal ornamentation of the initial Hey Jude phrase,
Moon Affect Human Behavior
There is very little information about the floor of the sea and the depths of space,
but we as humans have come a long way from where we started. For hundreds of
years folk stories and horror movies have used the superstition of the moon in order
to create a real world appeal. Whether the moon is being held captive by a hostile
Native American tribe or werewolves are roaming the town there s no doubt that
humans feel the power of the moon. Americans have sent men to the moon and found
giant squid in deep sea, but we still have very limited knowledge when it comes to
the power of the moon or what s at the bottom of the sea. Though studies show that
the moon controls a lot more than the average person might think, there is no real
conclusion... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a possibility that the gravitational pull of the moon affects humans as it
affects the currents in major bodies of water. There is not much information on the
topic, but many studies have been done to try to prove or disprove that theory. The
results are controversial and spread out. So does the moon affect human behavior?
By studying scientific experiments and analyzing data I hope to come to a
conclusion. The Full moon may or may not directly or indirectly affect the activity of
humans. Jodi tasso and Elizabeth miller, the authors of The effects of the moon on
human behavior* describe a study where It was found that the eight categories of
rape, robbery and assault, burglary, larceny and theft, auto theft, offenses against
family and children, drunkenness, and disorder conduct occurred significantly more
frequently during the full moon phase than at other times of the year. The quote
shows some potential volatility to the idea that humans could be affected by the
moon. The Women state that there was a significant increase in the number of
criminal offenses during the full moon phase. The moon cycle take 29.5 day to go
from full to full again, during those 29.5 days there are seven days when the moon
gets brighter and brighter until it is full, this is known as the moon phase It could be
nothing more than coincidence but data has show similar results time and time

Jean-Jacques Rousseau s A Discourse On The Sciences And
Arts
Are you familiar with the philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau?Jean Jacques Rousseau
was one of the most influential thinkers during the period of Enlightenment in
eighteenth century Europe. His first major philosophical work, A Discourse on the
Sciences and Arts, was the winning response to an essay contest that was conducted
by the Academy of Dijon in 1750. In this work, Rousseau argues that the progression
of the sciences and arts has caused the corruption of virtue as well as morality. This
discourse won Rousseau fame, recognition, and it laid the foundation for many
modern beliefs. Jean Jacques Rousseau was a very brilliant and influential thinker for
his time. However, some of his philosophies were absolutely ridiculous.... Show more

My opinion on this arguement is that it is absolutely and totally ridiculous, The
first reason I believe this is because it blames the advancement of society on
peoples personal decisions to be invirtuous and immoral, The idea that the
futhering and increasement of knowledge and society is completely idiotic. There
are multiple reasons I think that method of thinking is flawed and dangerous for
our society. First off, if you allow people to believe that blaming their problems on
someones else is ok , you create a society that lacks initiative and responsibility. As
a result you would directly create and group that relies more on say the government
to fix their problems. Once those people make their requests known there will then
be a influx of politicians that only have their personal agendas in mind. Then those
politicians will lie to those citizens to get into office. Once they have successfully
made it into office they will create bills that will alter the country for their benifit.
The same goes for radicals on the other side. The ideal society in my opinion is one
in which people are taught
The Thirteen Colonies That Need To Be Enslaved For

The Thirteen colonies were originally founded in 1607 when the Puritans settled in
Jamestown. Many other colonies were later added that is where the Americans lived
away from the British. Many of the things accomplished by the Americans could not
have been done without the help of the African Americans brought into slavery. It is
wrong to think that people needed to be enslaved for America to be what it is today,
but it is key in the history of the United States. Slavery was first introduced to the
Colonies around 1619 1621, it is not clear, but the first African American slave to

Why People Commit Crime Is Not An Easy Task
Introduction
Explaining why people commit crime is not an easy task. Criminologists have
attempted to travel down the paths of the reasoning for criminal behavior and the
factors that flow with them. Criminologists have developed many theories or
perspectives of crime. The perspectives recognize the cause of crime by the related
qualifies of criminals and populations with high crime rates. Two perspectives of
crime stood out from the wide variety, biological and psychological. In some cases
biological and psychological explanations of crime run hand in hand, however the
two perspectives focus on very different products of criminal behavior.
BIOLOGICAL VIEW
In explaining criminal behavior factors reveal that a person s physical or
biological characteristics are the results of criminal behavior. Biological factors
play a significant role in determining the reasons people commit crime. It is
believed that people go against the social norms because of that person s biological
make up (Boundless, 2014). Biological perspectives note that a person s
appearances and properties can be linked to illegal acts. Lombroso believed that
people with certain appearances such as drooping eyes or large ears were found to
be criminals (Boundless, 2014). Hereditary and genetic factors are said to also be a
product of criminal behavior. A child can grow up and have the tendencies of a
criminal because he/she has inherited those traits from a criminal parent. In today s
society, biochemical
People Work Together in Business in the Social Chain
Network
The social chain network where people work together to achieve certain goal is
business. It can be also defined as the exchange of money or any wealth through
buying and selling of goods or exchanging of any services. A business, also known
as an enterprise or a firm, is an organization involved in the trade of goods, services,
or both to consumers. (Sullivan and Sheffrin 2003, p.9). The mission statementcan be
defined as the general guideline for the behavior of the organization and also the
basis plan for the survival of the organization in a market. The mission mainly focuses
for the business purpose. A mission statement aims to provide employees and
stakeholders with clarity about the overriding purpose of the organization. A mission
statement should make the clear in long termpurpose . (Johnson, et al.2011 p.120)
Every business companies have its own mission statement. It plays an important role
in the business organization to run their business in this competitive environment.
Some mission statement is getting higher success in the market where some cannot.
In an organization, it is important that the leader or manager needs to be clear about
the mission statement of the organization where they can lead their employees in the
correct path to make the friendly environment, motivation of the employees in the
organization which helps to get success in the future The activities in the business are
mostly affected by the mission statement. The company needs to think
Moundbuilders Myths
The Myth of the Moundbuilders is a myth accepted by American settlers from
Europe, in North America into the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
America was being populated and the new colonizers began to notice many artificial
earthworks all around the continent. Circular, straight and mound statues were built
and uncovered when the new farmers started to clean around the trees in the forest.
The new habitants didn t want to accept that the mounds were constructed by Native
American people. They were unsettling and some started to believe in a vanished
race of these moundbuilders (Feder 5). It was believed that the moundbuilders were
a race of admirable people. Some archaeologists even stated that they found bones of
tall people, so they couldn t be Native Americans. There were five arguments that
people used to back up the idea that Native Americans couldn t have made the
mounds. The first was that Indians were too uncivilized to have made the mounds
and created everything in stone, metal and clay. The second was that mounds and
related objects were more... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He got data about the Moundbuilders and debunked all five arguments. The first
argument was false because descriptions written by European pioneers said that
Native Americans were an educated population that produced their own crops. They
didn t seem primitive. The second argument wasn t true because Indians got to the
New World around 12,000 years ago and the mounds are all younger. Third, there
were no real engraved tablets in the tombs. They were all validated to be false. The
fourth was fake because the construction of mounds were mentioned and how the
Indians made them by hand so they were likely strong. Finally, the last argument is
fake because there s no evidence that the architectural skills that would be needed to
make the goods couldn t have been collected by the Native Americans (Feder
Physical Therapists And Physical Therapy Essay
Physical therapists have become a highly respected and necessary part of the
healthcare team, yet the process of becoming a physical therapist has become
increasingly challenging. Physical therapy students must maintain a high GPA in
order to remain in highly competitive doctoral programs and must also successfully
complete several clinical experiences over the course of, on average, three years.
For many students, their first clinical experience can be very intimidating because it
will be the first time they have been in a type of setting other than the classroom.
Often times, they will have no idea what to expect or how to prepare. Physical
therapists also have the additional challenges of dealing with drastic changes in the
profession that include the disparities in healthcare, escalating healthcare costs, and
the demand for more efficient and cost effective practice (Hayward et al., 2013). The
scope of physical therapypractice is also evolving to include direct access as the
norm in all 50 states, including Washington D.C. This change requires ever growing
autonomy and clinical decision making skills for all physical therapists (Hayward et
al., 2013).
Clinical affiliations are an integral part of the doctor of physical therapy (DPT)
education. Currently, all physical therapy students in the United States will graduate
with a doctoral degree. Along with this relatively new advancement in the field, it is
the expectation that entry level physical therapists are

A Brief Biography of Henri Louis Le Chatelier
Henri Louis Le Chatelier (i)Henri Louis Le Chatelier was a world renowned
chemist known primarily for his work in developing Le Chatelier s Principle .
Henri was born to an academic bourgeoisie family on October 8th, 1850, in Paris
France (1). Le Chatelier was fortunate as his father, Louis Le Chatelier, was able to
teach him the basics of math and science, thus giving him a head start, and due to
his parent s status and wealth he was able to study at several universities (2). Le
Chatelier s earned his first degree from the College Rollin in 1867 and another in
1868 (2). He then went on to attend l Г‰cole Polytechnique after which he was
named second lieutenant with the rest of his class (3). Before continuing his
education he briefly served in the French army during the Franco Prussian war and
fought in the siege of Paris (3). After the war he studied at l Г‰cole des Mines in
Paris earning a degree in mining engineering in 1873 (2). Le Chatelier spent the
next few years working as an engineering miner throughout France but he switched
careers and became a lecturer in 1877 after being offered a position to teach
chemistry at l Г‰cole des Mines (2). The year before Le Chatelier married

these fields and uncovering that when cement mixes with water a super saturated
solution is formed which in its solidification forms

Most people would find this a huge accomplishment and celebrate, yet his family

Notre Dame and tried harder than ever. He hadn t officially been on the roster all
year, that was until senior day. Rudy finally got his shot. He called everybody up
from friends to family to attend the game that week. Everybody came and was
absolutely amazed to see the 5 6 Rudy leading his team out the tunnel. He was that
respected by his teammates for his work ethic and love for the game. On that day
everybody s respect levels skyrocketed for Rudy that day. This exemplified the return
and the Transformation in the hero s journey. He did return home very temporarily
and accomplished his goal of playing on that Notre Dame football

Exposed In Jacob RissHow The Other Half Lives
Stephen Covey once said, Every human has four endowments; self awareness,
conscious, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate
human freedom. The power to choose, to respond to change. Everyone has the
opportunity to make a difference in the world, to make a change, to take action.
However when does change really happen? When the problems start or when those
same problems have caused major damage? The photography presented in Jacob
Riss How the Other Half Lives , shows a threatening issue that could potentially
affect the middle class. Lack of nutrition, unemployment, living conditions and
poor child safety affected a lot of the lower class. With this in mind it s clear to say
that the issues shown in these photographs could in fact bring awareness which
can lead to the improvement of the tenants. Having a healthy lifestyle requires
proper nutrition and physical care. In the photos provided by Riis, the women,
men and children look weak and exhausted. These communities have very low
resources, in which leads to the inability to provide food for everyone. Children are
eating any scraps and leftovers they can find through bins off the street. Mothers go

start relying on the consumption of alcohol. Now, with no proper care for their
health, men, women and especially children will

The HRA 1998 have been introduced with a wide and comprehensive scope as it

Article 10 (1) states that:
Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. The right shall include freedom to
hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by
public authority and regardless of frontiers. This article shall not prevent States from
requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television and cinema enterprises.
Additionally, Article 19 (2) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political

account that the scope of Article 10 is vaguely broad expanding to nearly any
activity that can considered to be expression in the literal meaning of the word , the
real difficulty was to examine and establish lawful conditions under which any

required, excluding certain ways of expression from under its protection. However,
it has not been interpreted as a freedom of information guarantee it is rather a right

Personal Core Values
I think that people should consider taking these words I should say for consideration
you never know when it might help. Dedication is one of my personal core values.
Bethany has set out a set of core values and we have been going through these are
integrity, hospitality, community, servant leadership, sustainability, excellence. For
this assignment I m going to talk about integritybecause I feel it plays a lot to do
with you as a human. My personal definition for dedication is being committed and
giving everything, you have towards something. Integrity says a lot about you as a
person it is your worth and respect for yourself and others. Dedication relates to
responsibility because if you have dedication responsibility comes with it.... Show

For me this is one of my most important attributes that I believe made me a college
athlete so I will keep this value, I hope to pass it on to my kids. Integrity for me
means your personal worth to yourself that you feel you have worth and you hold
yourself to a standard. Integrity to me can also mean holding yourself accountable,
and if you make a promise to keep it. A way I do this is with my girlfriend I always
hold up to what I say and always tell the truth she always does for me as well so we
know our word says something and it is the truth. Same with my family we always
tell the truth and we always are made to hold up to our word since I was a little
kid. This is a big thing for other people to take on because in my opinion it shows
that you are someone that isn t a waste and saying this is also makes you a person
of your word. Who knows it may help you get in to college or get a job of your
own. If you do this you earn respect of others, which is something that can help carry
you through life. This value is important because it molded me and helped me give
and get respect from others. My personal growth is that it has helped me get both
of my past jobs, they couldn t believe how respectful I was and decided to give me
the job. It shows you care, and that is how you get respect. Having accountability
comes with integrity, people do truly take your
Working Conditions in China Essay
In America a full time job is a 40 hour week, with time and a half pay for any
overtime hours. Our minimum wage in New York State is six dollars an hour, and
that is soon to be raised to $6.75 an hour on January 1, 2006. We are provided, for
the most part, with healthy and safe working environments. In Chinese society it is
nothing like this. Since the difference between the rich and poor is a lot greater in
Chinathan it is here, many of the poor jump at the opportunity to work in a factory
or sweatshop job. They are very low paying and are not provided with a safe and
healthy environment to work in. Often times the terrible environment is accompanied
with abuse provided by the managers. It is not getting any better either because...

This way there is generally no pressure upon the company itself, rather put it on the
factory owner and the workers themselves. Also this gives companies a way to
distance themselves from what is going on. They do this because they know how
terrible it is in the factories. Besides Nike, other major companies that opened
factories in China are Wal Mart, Timberland, Huffy, JanSport, and Disney
(Dougherty). Low wages are not the only problems with factories in China, in my
opinion it is one of the least important topics. The overall treatment of the workers,
and the lack of a safe working environment are just terrible. A study was done on a
few factories that are producing for the big name companies listed above showed
that some workers were working 98 hour weeks (Dougherty). And during those
long hours, there are strict rules and regulations which the workers must follow.
They are under constant surveillance, under which there are strict no talking rules.
If the no talking rule is in effect, which it is in most of these types of factories,
workers are fined up to a few dollars for each offense after a warning. To us a few
dollar fine isn t that big of a deal, but to them it can be a few days work. Workers in
these factories are also subjected to harmful chemicals all day long. A case study at a
Timberland factory showed that workers were working in temperature
Pros And Cons Of Rene Descartes
Descartes ideas of perception are presented through his meditations. In this essay,
an argument will be developed as to what Descartes views on our perception are
and what are the issues in the way in which he delivers his arguments. Meditations
from I IV will be critically analyzed and counter arguments as well as the flaws in
which Descartes comes to some of his conclusions and claims.
The term perception is the idea that the ability to see, hear, or become aware of
something through our everyday senses. These senses then help one in which
something is regarded, understood, or interpreted. Descartes, first meditation starts
off by questioning which of our beliefs are true and if our perception through our
senses are enough in perceiving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At this point Descartes notes that though he was made by God. The first thing to
note is that Descartes has decided that God exists and his arguments for why God
exits are explained through the use of s method called the Cartesian circle. The
basis of this argument is that Descartes is a clear minded human. It it s difficult to
accept the claim that Descartes has a clear and distinct thoughts in his mind and
whether he is entitled to this claim. In denying his beliefs Meditation 1, it is
evident that his belief of God was never denied. There have been arguments that
God doesn t exist due to the definition in which God is given. God is defined as an
omnibenevolent, omnipotent and omniscient being with other characteristics that
make him perfect. Due to this definition of God, Descartes argues that God is
incapable of being a deceiver to Descartes and his thoughts. Humans are too
defined as being extensions of God. If we are all extensions of God, then there are
flaws to God as showcased in the way humans behave. Imperfections in the world
created by God who is defined to have the power to eradicate that of evil (or the evil
being) highlight that God is therefore not omnipotent. Descartes brings in the idea of
the evil being, being able to deceive Descartes thoughts. This then contradicts the idea
of Descartes
Violence In Washington Irving s The Devil And Tom Walker
In the story, The Devil and Tom Walker, there is a humorous way of looking at
serious topics. Washington Irving shows his thoughts on these topics through the
characters in this story. He attacks ways of living and social ideas that he thinks
people should live without. In this story, Irving criticizes violence, greed, and false
piety. Throughout The Deviland Tom Walker Washington Irving shows his point of
view on violence. One example of this is when the Irving is describing the Walkers
relationship. He described that in their relationship there was a lot of screaming
and yelling. He also said that Tom s face showed signs that their conflicts were not
confined to words. (243) Irving says that if a passerby was to see and hear this
violence between them, the passerby would celebrate that he was not in a
relationship and that he was celibate. This addresses the issue of violence in a
humorous way; however, it shows Irving s beliefs about violence. His beliefs, as
shown, are that violence is a bad thing and that people should be happy if they can
live without it. Throughout this story Irving condemns greed. In the beginning of
the story, Tom is characterized as a greedy man. One way this is shown is when
his wife is killed by the devil. She brought many valuable goods to try and make a
deal with the devil and she got into a fight and lost. When Tom found out about his
wife he was more concerned about the loss of the valuable goods that his wife.

The Nez Zealand Government Essay
Topic 1 According to the Nez Zealand government, a company will only be
considered as a company in New Zealand after it has been registered with the
company s office which administers the register of companies In New Zealand. In
New Zealand, a company must have at least one director who lives in New
Zealand or lives in Australia and is a director of an Australian company. The
directors are required to provide their date of birth, place of birth and sometimes
they need to provide the details of their ultimate holding company. Unlike sole
traders or partnerships, the company itself operates as a separate legal entity to its
shareholders. It owns its assets and liabilities whereas a sole trader is liable for all
the assets and liabilities directly. This feature of the companies is called limited
liability, this means that shareholders in the company can only be liable and can
only lose the value of their shares and not more than the value of their shares.
However on the other hand, directors are liable for the debts incurred by the
business if their conduct of the business is believed to be fraudulent, reckless and
not in the company s interest. Lastly companies are taxed at the company tax rate
which is 28% in New Zealand currently. The profits made by the company are taxed
to the individuals. Having a company has a lot of advantaged mainly having an
advantage accessing investments and also gaining more credibility and is more
secure than having a sole trading

  • 1. Summary Analysis Essay Crafting a Summary Analysis Essay can be a challenging endeavor that demands a delicate balance between succinctness and depth. The intricacies lie in distilling the essence of a text while providing insightful analysis, navigating the fine line between brevity and completeness. Firstly, summarizing the key points of a piece requires a keen understanding of the material. It involves identifying the core ideas, main arguments, and supporting details. Condensing a complex narrative or argument into a concise form without losing its essence requires careful consideration and a thorough grasp of the subject matter. Analysis, on the other hand, adds another layer of complexity. It involves delving beyond the surface, examining the underlying themes, motivations, and implications. Analyzing the significance of the summarized information necessitates critical thinking and the ability to connect disparate elements cohesively. Moreover, maintaining a coherent structure is crucial. Balancing the summary and analysis sections while ensuring a smooth transition between them can be a daunting task. The essay must flow logically, guiding the reader through the summarized content and seamlessly transitioning into a thoughtful analysis without abrupt shifts. The challenge is heightened by the need to avoid excessive personal opinions. While analysis involves interpretation, it should be grounded in the text's objective elements. Striking a balance between subjective insights and objective analysis is pivotal to maintaining the essay's credibility. In addition, time management is a factor that cannot be overlooked. Efficiently allocating time for reading, summarizing, analyzing, and refining the essay is essential. Rushing through any of these stages may compromise the quality of the final product. In conclusion, crafting a Summary Analysis Essay demands a combination of reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills. Striking the right balance between summary and analysis, maintaining a coherent structure, and managing time effectively are integral to overcoming the inherent challenges of this task. For those seeking assistance, various resources are available, such asHelpWriting.net, where similar essays and much more can be ordered to simplify the complex process of essay writing. • 2. Analysis Of Erika Schickel s Magic Hour Los Angeles, the City of Angels, is filled with various cultures and people from around the world. Los Angeles is known for many things from our food to the Griffith Observatory or the Hollywood sign. Los Angeles is often referred to as the melting pot of cultures. Often portrayed in the movies, people come to Los Angelesto be the next movie star and live a glamorous life filled with over the top parties, but Another Citychallenges that idea. Magic Hour shows Los Angeles a not so glamorous side of LA, but also shows the beauty of Los Angeles. In Another City: Writings From Los Angeles edited by David L. Ulin, a collection of short stories and poems about Los Angeles, the writers write about coming to Los Angeles or growing up in LA and how this city shapes the residents identities and how Los Angeles is seen to outsiders and residents. Magic Hour is about Erika Schickel views on Los Angeles and how it shapes her and her views on the city, she explores the relationship between herself and the city. Magic Hour by Erika Schickel is about Schickel s leaving her old life in New York and moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. On a page of Magic Hour, Schickel writes, Lonely, broke, homesick. I could not remember who I was, who I had been, who I hoped to be (Schickel 65.) Living in Los Angeles makes the author question who she is and if the life she wants is worth of pursuing. Schickel s relationship with Los Angeles is not ideal at the beginning.
  • 3. How Does Truman Capote Use Imagery In A Christmas Memory In Truman Capote s short story A Christmas Memory imagery and symbolism are used by the author to show that friendship has no age limit. Truman uses very vivid details and many different types of figurative language to show his theme ,which is that friendship has no age. An example of symbolism is, As if I expected to see, rather like hearts, a lost pair of kites hurrying toward heaven (6). After getting the news of his friend s death, he goes outside and almost expects to see kites. In this example of symbolism, the author shows us how deep a bond Buddy and his friend have by showing us a glimpse of Buddy s mind and how his heart is going to heaven with his friend. Furthermore, the author uses some imagery when he gives us a vivid description
  • 4. What Is Moonrise Kingdom Essay Description of the storyline The story takes place in the Summer of 1965 on a new England Island called New Penzance. В« Moonrise Kingdom В» is the story of two pre teenagers who fall in love: Sam Suzi. Sam is a little Scout, spending his Summer at Camp of the Khaki Scouts and he is clearly the most unpopular scout of Camp. Suzi lives with her parents and her three little brothers but she doesn t seem close to her family. Sam Suzi had been pen pals for months and they had planned to run away together in the Summer. Scoutmaster Randy Ward, the Scouts and Police Captain Sharp track the two young lovers. During the investigation, it is revealed that Sam is an orphan and that his adoptive parents don t want to take him back. At the same time, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It can also negatively affect the self esteem of the child. Some children don t know how to communicate with the others so they use force or aggression to communicate.
Communication is essential for the development of the child. A good communication helps the child to feel safe and secure. The child can openly talk about his/her problems, express his/her feelings, explain this to his /her parents,... • 5. Essay on The Atomic Cafe The Atomic Cafe The Atomic Cafe is a 1982 documentary film compiled of clips from government propaganda, training films, news stories, advertisements and other media from the 1940 s through the 1950 s. Many films were prepared by the U.S. government either for the military or for its citizens to view. The form of Atomic Cafe was unique for documentaries. It was produced entirely of different film sources edited together, without narration. The film made its points solely through the selection and order of the clips included in the documentary. The purpose of the film was to show the American people of the 1980 s exactly how the government distributed propaganda and deceived the American citizens of the 1950 s. Atomic Cafe is a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The government knew that such actions and the Duck and Cover methods recommended in schools would, in fact, provide absolutely no protection against exposure to fallout. The government also promoted building a fallout shelter, stocked with supplies of canned goods, as a way to survive atomic war. This was only a partial truth, since a shelter could protect from radiation, but not from fire storms. The filmmakers main ideas are that the government misled and lied to the people of the U.S. so that they would believe that the atomic bomb would have no effect on their health and security, that we should question if the government should have lied to the American people, and to make us question whether or not the citizens of the U.S. would continue to be as naive as the people of the 1950 s. I do mostly agree with the filmmakers thesis. It is obvious that the government was lying and misleading the people of the U.S. regarding the ability to survive nuclear war. I don t think that it was entirely right that the government lied to the U.S. people. I don t believe it was the government s place or choice to withhold such important information. Citizens have a right to know, but in cases, it s better for them to not know to prevent riots and episodes of mass hysteria. If the citizens had known all the facts about the horrible consequences of a nuclear war, there might have been more opposition to the continuing
  • 6. Texas Football Game Analysis The Texans won nine games in 2014 15, but just two of those victories came against teams with a record above .500. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who started at quarterback the majority of Houston s games last season, is suddenly the Jets starting quarterback. Texans head coach Bill O Brien has yet to name a starting quarterback this season, setting up a battle between Ryan Mallett and recently acquired Brian Hoyer. In his rookie season, 2014 No. 1 overall draft pick Jadeveon Clowney played in just four games and failed to record a sack. Clowney will be expected to show the world why the Texans thought he was worth a No. 1 overall pick, and Houston will attempt to reach the postseason for the first time since the 2012 13 season. Alex Smith had another solid season (3,265 passing yards, 18 passing touchdowns) with a 93.4 quarterback rating and throwing just six interceptions. Jamaal Charles rushed for 1,033 yards, and although he was in and out of the Chiefs lineup throughout the season because of nagging injuries, backup running back Knile Davis showed promise. The Chiefs defense even finished seventh in the league in total yards allowed last season So, why didn t Kansas City finish with a better record? Look no further than the teams receiving corps, which failed to haul in one catch for a touchdown last season. Kansas City s wide receivers don t seem to be much better this season, but the addition of Jeremy Maclin should help. It s safe to say Maclin should catch at least one touchdown this season, which would be more than every receiver on the roster a season
  • 7. Rene Descartes Meditations on First Philosophy In Rene Descartes, Meditations on First Philosophy, Descartes does and experiment with wax to try to prove that things actually exist in this world. This essay is going to prove how we can tell that things actually exist and what can perceive the wax. Rene Descartes starts off with a description of the wax so he can prove to us the changes that will happen throughout his experiment. Let us take, for instance, this piece of wax. It has been taken quite recently from the honeycomb; it has not yet lost all the honey flavor. It retains some of the scent of the flowers from which it was collected. Its color, shape, and size are manifest. It is hard and cold; it is easy to touch. If you rap on it with your ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He then tells us his final perspective on how he perceives the wax. It remains then for me to concede that I do not grasp what this wax is through the imagination; rather, I perceive it through the mind alone. (Descartes, 22) He ends his argument on how he perceives the wax with telling us that it is not our imagination that grasps all of the perceptions of the wax, but the mind that does it. Rene Descartes just proved to us that our imagination is not able to grasp all of the perceptions of the wax but the mind is. After proving that theory he suddenly starts to doubt his proof. But meanwhile I marvel at how prone my mind is to errors. (Descartes, 22) He states that his mind is prone to making errors. For example; For we say we see the wax itself, if it is present, and not that we judge it to be present from its color or shape. (Descartes, 22) He thinks a mistake our minds make is when we judge that it is wax by just looking at it and not paying any attention to any of the forms. For this reason he is claiming that he still is not sure that the mind can actually perceive the wax due to it making mistakes. Back to what Rene Descartes said earlier about the imagination not being able to grasp all of what we need to perceive about the wax. He told us the imagination was unable to grasp it all but now
  • 8. Jonathan Spence s The Death Of Woman Wang Chinese women have historically retained highly circumscribed roles and statuses that rendered them inferior to their male corollaries. The gender status quo was predicated on a definition of gender as a cultural construct that is performed rather than rooted in biology. Throughout Chinese history, the women s role in the family was paramount as conceptualized by the concept of Yin and Yang. While men are associated with Yang, the darker and robust force, while Yin represented the cooler and passive femaleforce. As such, the Chinese ascribed to the separate spheres ideology which relegated women to the private sphere within the home while the public sphere was a male preserve. Huang Liu hung grappled with adjudicating the Wang family whom was viewed as aberrant and outlaws according to cultural and social mores in imperial China. This episode paves the way for a meaningful discussion about the plight of women in traditional Chinese society. The sordid death of Woman Wang at the conclusion of the book is emblematic of how crippled women were in imperial China due to their perceived inferiority and lack of agency in the public

  • 10. The Book of Psalms Essay There are 150 psalms in the Book of Psalms that were written over the span of 800 years. Most of the Psalms written were made to be sung. There are two main genres of Psalms, which are laments and hymns. David is know to have written 73 psalms, Asaph wrote 12, the sons of Korah wrote 11, Solomon wrote 2, Moses wrote 1 and 50 are anonymous . At this time in the ancient world a tent was used as God s holy place, and this tent was located on the holy hill. The psalmist also asks in verse 1 who may go on the holy hill where the temple is located. It seems as though the psalmists would actually like to go to this holy place for themselves but is reserved about actually going because he knows that God has strict limitations as to who can actually enter the holy temple. The next part of the psalm directly answers the two questions asked in verse 1. In verse 2 the David gives a general answer of the type of person that is able to dwell in God s place. In later verses the psalmist goes on to describe in detail exactly what kind of person will be admitted into the temple located on Zion . Verse 2 states that the acceptable person is one who can walk blamelessly, do what is right, and a person who speaks the truth. This answer is very general, but it does a great job of explaining what kind of person can enter the temple. It does not mention that the person who wants to enter the temple has to be completely perfect. That is an important thing because no human is perfect and if it took perfection to worship in the temple, it would be an empty place. This answer to what kind of person may enter is just explaining that at the point of entrance into the temple it is necessary for all wrong doings to have been forgiven and all sins to have been repented of. No man can walk

She created a unique art form by crafting multi media spectacles out of fabric, motion and light. In Fuller s autobiography, she talks about how the glass of the rose windows in the great cathedral had rays of sunlight that came on into the church in different directions, and made it very colorful. I think this is a moment that inspired her. It was something that caught her attention, and she just couldn t simply take her mind from it. This was something that encouraged her to keep digging into the things lights and colors can do in dance. In one of her videos, it shows her twirling her dress in many different ways while her dress is also changing colors. This was very unexpected for me. It was different and it made me think about the things she had to do to make this idea into a creation. I was also able to see how the lights reflecting in the church inspired her because the color of her dress kept changing as she twirled so smoothly. It was very settle and something you wouldn t usually notice right away like the lights in the church. In the reading, she states, What is the dance? It is motion. What is motion? The expression of a sensation. What is a sensation? The reaction in the human body produced by an impression or an idea perceived by the mind. A sensation is the reverberation that the body receives when an impression strikes the mind. (Fuller, 17). She is explaining the thought process that she goes

Although I did not make up my mind until later into my medical training, I view this as a positive. Brahms is frequently considered both a traditionalist and an innovator. His music is embedded in the arrangements and compositional practices of the Baroque and Classical leaders. Brahms intended to honor the purity of the German structures and develop them into a Romantic idiom, in the process of creating fresh daring methodologies to harmony and melody (Swa. Johna. 5 10). The thorough, highly constructed nature of Brahms work was an introduction and a muse for a generation of composers. The performance was held in studio 312, where seating was on a stadium like platform and the stage on a flat surface with red curtains behind it. It was a bit more than what I had expected. All humans will be free to do as they wish, because robots and computers will work for us. Computers are viewed as the ideal slaves. They work non stop, never complain, and above all, never make mistakes. It is often said that computers don t make mistakes, that it is the person using the computer who commits errors. What is it that makes humans err, but not computers? I will prove that it is simply the way humans are built that makes us commit errors. Unlike computers, built of mechanical or electronic parts, humans are made of organic matter and nerve pathways. These same pathways, with the help of the brain are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reason he committed errors was simply that he was doing an action faster that his brain and eyes could handle with 100% accuracy. It seems that our brains can compute complex operations that allow us to drive a car through terrible weather conditions, at night, but all these operations cannot be accomplished within too short a time limit. So far, we have discussed the speed at which the brain can compute operations without error. We must consider other factors which can also lead to mistakes. To explain other types of error, I will use a terminology developed and used by the philosopher Bertrand Russell. He identifies something called sense data. Sense data is the data received by our senses from the object being sensed . For instance, if a person is looking at a red apple, the shape and color and all other aspects of this apple are received in the form of sense data. In the case of the man adding up the numbers, he mistook a 7 for a 1. What really happened is that his senses misidentified the number. The sense data was received by his eyes, which then converted this information into an electrical signal to be sent to the brain for analysis. There are thus two possibilities. Either the eyes did not transform the signal of the 7 properly, or the brain misunderstood the signal received from the eyes. In both cases, the sense data was analyzed incorrectly, leading to an error in the final calculation. Some skeptics might criticize my position by

For hundreds of years folk stories and horror movies have used the superstition of the moon in order to create a real world appeal. Whether the moon is being held captive by a hostile Native American tribe or werewolves are roaming the town there s no doubt that humans feel the power of the moon. Americans have sent men to the moon and found giant squid in deep sea, but we still have very limited knowledge when it comes to the power of the moon or what s at the bottom of the sea. There is not much information on the topic, but many studies have been done to try to prove or disprove that theory. The results are controversial and spread out. So does the moon affect human behavior? By studying scientific experiments and analyzing data I hope to come to a conclusion. The Full moon may or may not directly or indirectly affect the activity of humans. Jodi tasso and Elizabeth miller, the authors of The effects of the moon on human behavior* describe a study where It was found that the eight categories of rape, robbery and assault, burglary, larceny and theft, auto theft, offenses against family and children, drunkenness, and disorder conduct occurred significantly more frequently during the full moon phase than at other times of the year. The quote shows some potential volatility to the idea that humans could be affected by the moon. The Women state that there was a significant increase in the number of criminal offenses during the full moon phase. The moon cycle take 29.5 day to go from full to full again, during those 29.5 days there are seven days when the moon gets brighter and brighter until it is full, this is known as the moon phase It could be nothing more than coincidence but data has show similar results time and time

Jean-Jacques Rousseau s A Discourse On The Sciences And Arts Are you familiar with the philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau?Jean Jacques Rousseau was one of the most influential thinkers during the period of Enlightenment in eighteenth century Europe. His first major philosophical work, A Discourse on the Sciences and Arts, was the winning response to an essay contest that was conducted by the Academy of Dijon in 1750. In this work, Rousseau argues that the progression of the sciences and arts has caused the corruption of virtue as well as morality. My opinion on this arguement is that it is absolutely and totally ridiculous, The first reason I believe this is because it blames the advancement of society on peoples personal decisions to be invirtuous and immoral, The idea that the futhering and increasement of knowledge and society is completely idiotic. There are multiple reasons I think that method of thinking is flawed and dangerous for our society. First off, if you allow people to believe that blaming their problems on someones else is ok , you create a society that lacks initiative and responsibility. As a result you would directly create and group that relies more on say the government to fix their problems. Once those people make their requests known there will then be a influx of politicians that only have their personal agendas in mind. Then those politicians will lie to those citizens to get into office. Once they have successfully made it into office they will create bills that will alter the country for their benifit. The same goes for radicals on the other side. The ideal society in my opinion is one in which people are taught

  • 26. Why People Commit Crime Is Not An Easy Task Introduction Explaining why people commit crime is not an easy task. Criminologists have attempted to travel down the paths of the reasoning for criminal behavior and the factors that flow with them. Criminologists have developed many theories or perspectives of crime. The perspectives recognize the cause of crime by the related qualifies of criminals and populations with high crime rates. Two perspectives of crime stood out from the wide variety, biological and psychological. In some cases biological and psychological explanations of crime run hand in hand, however the two perspectives focus on very different products of criminal behavior. BIOLOGICAL VIEW In explaining criminal behavior factors reveal that a person s physical or biological characteristics are the results of criminal behavior. Biological factors play a significant role in determining the reasons people commit crime. It is believed that people go against the social norms because of that person s biological make up (Boundless, 2014). Biological perspectives note that a person s appearances and properties can be linked to illegal acts. Lombroso believed that people with certain appearances such as drooping eyes or large ears were found to be criminals (Boundless, 2014). Hereditary and genetic factors are said to also be a product of criminal behavior. A child can grow up and have the tendencies of a criminal because he/she has inherited those traits from a criminal parent. In today s society, biochemical

  • 29. Physical Therapists And Physical Therapy Essay Physical therapists have become a highly respected and necessary part of the healthcare team, yet the process of becoming a physical therapist has become increasingly challenging. Physical therapy students must maintain a high GPA in order to remain in highly competitive doctoral programs and must also successfully complete several clinical experiences over the course of, on average, three years. For many students, their first clinical experience can be very intimidating because it will be the first time they have been in a type of setting other than the classroom. Often times, they will have no idea what to expect or how to prepare. Physical therapists also have the additional challenges of dealing with drastic changes in the profession that include the disparities in healthcare, escalating healthcare costs, and the demand for more efficient and cost effective practice (Hayward et al., 2013). The scope of physical therapypractice is also evolving to include direct access as the norm in all 50 states, including Washington D.C. This change requires ever growing autonomy and clinical decision making skills for all physical therapists (Hayward et al., 2013). Clinical affiliations are an integral part of the doctor of physical therapy (DPT) education. Currently, all physical therapy students in the United States will graduate with a doctoral degree. Along with this relatively new advancement in the field, it is the expectation that entry level physical therapists are

Chapter 3 Explanation of Media Freedom of Expression under Article 10 of the Human Rights Act and the European Convention on Human Rights On the 2nd October 2000, the Human Rights Act 1998 came into force as the most important privacy statute to further strengthen the UK domestic law by affording the rights introduced by the European Convention on Human Rights. The HRA 1998 have been introduced with a wide and comprehensive scope as it applies to most domestic public authorities and bodies including: a court or tribunal, and any person certain of whose function or of a public nature, but does not include either House of Parliament or a person exercising functions in connection with proceedings in Parliament. The right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This article shall not prevent States from requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television and cinema enterprises. Additionally, Article 19 (2) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights guarantees that such right is available to everyone. Therefore, taken into account that the scope of Article 10 is vaguely broad expanding to nearly any activity that can considered to be expression in the literal meaning of the word , the real difficulty was to examine and establish lawful conditions under which any restriction of freedom of expression is lawful. Due to the absolute meaning of the guarantee under Article 19(2) such limitation and restriction of the right was required, excluding certain ways of expression from under its protection. However, it has not been interpreted as a freedom of information guarantee it is rather a right of freedom to receive information representing, where a voluntary speaker is interfered with in exercising any of the protected expressive activities, then both the speaker and the potential receiving audience is prima facie deprived from this right. For this assignment I m going to talk about integritybecause I feel it plays a lot to do with you as a human. My personal definition for dedication is being committed and giving everything, you have towards something. Integrity says a lot about you as a person it is your worth and respect for yourself and others. Dedication relates to responsibility because if you have dedication responsibility comes with it.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For me this is one of my most important attributes that I believe made me a college athlete so I will keep this value, I hope to pass it on to my kids. Integrity for me means your personal worth to yourself that you feel you have worth and you hold yourself to a standard. Integrity to me can also mean holding yourself accountable, and if you make a promise to keep it. A way I do this is with my girlfriend I always hold up to what I say and always tell the truth she always does for me as well so we know our word says something and it is the truth. Same with my family we always tell the truth and we always are made to hold up to our word since I was a little kid. This is a big thing for other people to take on because in my opinion it shows that you are someone that isn t a waste and saying this is also makes you a person of your word. Who knows it may help you get in to college or get a job of your own. If you do this you earn respect of others, which is something that can help carry you through life. This value is important because it molded me and helped me give and get respect from others. My personal growth is that it has helped me get both of my past jobs, they couldn t believe how respectful I was and decided to give me the job. It shows you care, and that is how you get respect. Having accountability comes with integrity, people do truly take your
  • 42. Working Conditions in China Essay In America a full time job is a 40 hour week, with time and a half pay for any overtime hours. Our minimum wage in New York State is six dollars an hour, and that is soon to be raised to $6.75 an hour on January 1, 2006. We are provided, for the most part, with healthy and safe working environments. In Chinese society it is nothing like this. Since the difference between the rich and poor is a lot greater in Chinathan it is here, many of the poor jump at the opportunity to work in a factory or sweatshop job. They are very low paying and are not provided with a safe and healthy environment to work in. Often times the terrible environment is accompanied with abuse provided by the managers. It is not getting any better either because... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This way there is generally no pressure upon the company itself, rather put it on the factory owner and the workers themselves. Also this gives companies a way to distance themselves from what is going on. They do this because they know how terrible it is in the factories. Besides Nike, other major companies that opened factories in China are Wal Mart, Timberland, Huffy, JanSport, and Disney (Dougherty). Low wages are not the only problems with factories in China, in my opinion it is one of the least important topics. The overall treatment of the workers, and the lack of a safe working environment are just terrible. A study was done on a few factories that are producing for the big name companies listed above showed that some workers were working 98 hour weeks (Dougherty). And during those long hours, there are strict rules and regulations which the workers must follow. They are under constant surveillance, under which there are strict no talking rules. If the no talking rule is in effect, which it is in most of these types of factories, workers are fined up to a few dollars for each offense after a warning. To us a few dollar fine isn t that big of a deal, but to them it can be a few days work. Workers in these factories are also subjected to harmful chemicals all day long. A case study at a Timberland factory showed that workers were working in temperature

At this point Descartes notes that though he was made by God. The first thing to note is that Descartes has decided that God exists and his arguments for why God exits are explained through the use of s method called the Cartesian circle. The basis of this argument is that Descartes is a clear minded human. It it s difficult to accept the claim that Descartes has a clear and distinct thoughts in his mind and whether he is entitled to this claim. In denying his beliefs Meditation 1, it is evident that his belief of God was never denied. There have been arguments that God doesn t exist due to the definition in which God is given. God is defined as an omnibenevolent, omnipotent and omniscient being with other characteristics that make him perfect. Due to this definition of God, Descartes argues that God is incapable of being a deceiver to Descartes and his thoughts. Humans are too defined as being extensions of God. If we are all extensions of God, then there are flaws to God as showcased in the way humans behave. Imperfections in the world created by God who is defined to have the power to eradicate that of evil (or the evil being) highlight that God is therefore not omnipotent. Descartes brings in the idea of the evil being, being able to deceive Descartes thoughts. This then contradicts the idea of Descartes
