component of quality of life.

3. Quality of life:
• The term quality of life (QOL) references the
general well-being of individuals and
communities.
• “Quality of life is defined as an individual’s
perception of their position in life in the
context of the culture and values system in
which they live and in relation to their goals,
expectations, standards and concerns. (WHO,
1995)

• Pleasant affect
• Unpleasant affect.
• Affect refers to pleasant and unpleasant mood
and emotions.
