I was on a panel with Mike Whaling and Jun Loyaza at the Optimization summit. We had a very interesting discussion and a lot of fun with audience questions including a dating app discussion. The Luncheon took a look at the most powerful changes and opportunities driving and shaping the direction and growth of this dynamic realm—in both the near and long-term future. You’ll get a first-hand and far-reaching look at the New Media landscape; hear about the hottest changes happening now and how to capitalize on them; get clued in to important opportunities that are about to emerge; and walk away with insider knowledge that will help you position your company years ahead of the competition.

Making the Transition to Agile: what we did, what worked, and what we learnedAri Davidow
In 2008 the Jewish Women's Archive (JWA) tried Agile Software development as a tool to select the necessary User Stories and develop a working, lightweight interface to the Fedora Commons digital archive. The project succeeded. That software was later taken by the developer and open sourced as the "hydra" project.
Transformations: Smart Application Migration to XPagesTeamstudio
Migrating legacy applications with XPages without using any third party tools can be hard. Your code that was built and maintained over the years should be reused and ported to a current XPages environment. Oliver Busse will show you how to benefit from the possibilities of using Java in XPages to reproduce the functionality you already have and extend it to the next level, including:
-User profiles: create, use, and maintain
-Application profiles: reinvented
-Getting user and environment information: made easy and smart
-Transformation of the full-text search to a "facetted search" all over your application(s)
