Some believe leaders are born and become natural leaders. Others believe leadership can be taught and anyone can become a leader. I believe leadership is situational and when intentional can be very powerful.
I learned leadership theory and enjoyed plenty of practice attending the US Military Academy. I certainly practiced leadership during my tour in the Army.
Sensors help to capture what is going on in the real world. This deck explains how real-world information, such as pressure, temperature, speed is converted into a useful electronics format that can be analyzed, manipulated, stored or sent to another device.

It reveals about the employee's stress level and the factors that cause dissatisfaction to the employees. It is helpful in assessing the extent of stress experienced by the employees in IFCI Financial Services Ltd and also to know how the organization gets affected due to the stress faced by the employees. This can be helpful to the management to improve its weakness and strengthen its policies by the findings of the project. This also gives suggestions to overcome the factors causing stress in the organization.

Master Trainer and Executive Coach, Mark S. Freeman and Associates, LLC
Stress management for coping in a crisis.
Participants will learn about the recent groundbreaking research regarding how we frame stress for good or for ill (literally)
Outcomes:
1) Participants will relabel and reframe their thinking about stress, seeing it as an asset rather than a liability.
2) Participants will learn specific behavioral strategies to stay in their right mind with breathing exercises, muscle tension exercises, and perspective-taking exercises with visualization, ultimately with the outcome of staying and remaining in their right mind.
This workshop will be experiential with participants using the techniques

Acetabularia Information For Class 9 .docxvaibhavrinwa19
Acetabularia acetabulum is a single-celled green alga that in its vegetative state is morphologically differentiated into a basal rhizoid and an axially elongated stalk, which bears whorls of branching hairs. The single diploid nucleus resides in the rhizoid.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
8. Some people thrive on stressful situations,
while others are overwhelmed by them. What
is it that differentiates people in terms of their
ability to handle stress?
At least four variables — perception, job
experience, social support, and belief in
locus of control — have been found to be
relevant moderators.
10. Perception
The stress potential in environmental,
organizational, and individual factors doesn't
lie in their objective condition. Rather, it lies in
an employee's interpretation of those factors.
12. Social Support
There is increasing evidence that social
support — that is, collegial relationships with
co-workers or supervisors — can buffer the
impact of stress.
13. Belief in Locus of Control
Those with an internal locus of control believe
they control their own destiny. Those with an
external locus believe their lives are
controlled by outside forces. Evidence
indicates that internals perceive their jobs to
be less stressful than do externals.
17. Time Management
An understanding and utilization of
basic time management principles
can help individuals better cope
with job demands.
18. Physical Exercise
Noncompetitive physical exercise
such as aerobics, race walking,
jogging, swimming, and riding a
bicycle have long been
recommended by physicians as a
way to deal with excessive stress
levels.
19. Relaxation Training
Individuals can teach themselves to relax
through techniques such as meditation,
hypnosis, and biofeedback. The objective
is to reach a state of deep relaxation,
where one feels physically relaxed,
somewhat detached from the immediate
environment, and detached from body
sensations.
20. Social Support
Having friends, family, or work
colleagues to talk to provides an outlet
when stress levels become excessive.
Expanding your social support network,
therefore, can be a means for tension
reduction.
22. Selection & Placement
Individuals with little experience
or an external locus of control
tend to be more stress-prone.
Selection and placement decisions
should take these facts into
consideration.
23. Goal Setting
The use of goals can reduce stress as well as
provide motivation. Specific goals that are
perceived as attainable clarify performance
expectations. Additionally, goal feedback reduces
uncertainties as to actual job performance. The
result is less employee frustration, role
ambiguity, and stress.
24. Job Redesign
Redesigning jobs to give employees
more responsibility, more meaningful
work, more autonomy, and increased
feedback can reduce stress, because
these factors give the employee greater
control over work activities and lessen
dependence on others.
25. Participative Decision Making
By giving these employees a voice in
decisions that directly affect their job
performances, management can
increase employee control and reduce
this role stress.
