Thomas Jonathan Jackson, also known as Stonewall Jackson, was an important Confederate general in the Civil War. He received his famous nickname "Stonewall" at the First Battle of Bull Run after standing his ground like a stone wall. As a brigadier general, Jackson was intelligent and experienced, providing strategic guidance to his army. However, he was accidentally shot by his own men and later died of pneumonia, removing a key leader from the Confederate forces.
