Four Step in Problem Solving Approach
Exchange information on what happened and or
on what the parties want.
Focus the discussion on each other’s underlying
needs and interest.
Think of all possible option that can reconcile f
needs.
Evaluate alternative and agree on the best option.


Speak in a gentle manner.
 Think carefully of what you are going to say.
 Use the “I” message.
 Admit your own responsibility to the conflict.
 Avoid using hazy statements and global words
such as “always” and “never”.
 Be willing to tell other person his/her positive
attributes.


Show positive regard and respect.
 Be tough on the problem, not on the person.
 Don’t take anything personally.
 Be solution-oriented.


Actively listen.
 Listen with empathy and try to stand in the shoe
of the other.
 Accept criticism of your ideas or behavior.
 Paraphrase what you heard and clarify when
needed.
What is Mediation?
-the act or process of mediating;
especially intervention between conflicting
parties to promote reconciliation, settlement, or
compromise.
Conflict Resolution
-focused on addressing the issue.
Conflict Transformation
-according to (Lederach 2003) it is involves
changing the way parties look at issues,
behaviors, and people or groups. It is takes place
at both the internal and structural levels.
Damaged self-esteem is one of the known effects
of bullying. The victims of bullying withdraw or
keep to themselves. They become loners or aloof.


Declare your classroom a zone of peace and
establish rule to achieve it.
 As the teacher, let the peace begin with you.
 Affirm your students
 Express feelings appropriately and encourage
students to do so.
 Encourage respect for and acceptance of
differences.




Employ more cooperative than competitive
activities.
Teach students hot to resolve conflicts peacefully
and constructively.
Practice student’s skills of communication.
A peaceful classroom is one where students feel
safe and secure. It is a place where they grow as
persons without threats of being
ridiculed, marginalized or hurt.

  • 7.  Speak in a gentle manner.  Think carefully of what you are going to say.  Use the “I” message.  Admit your own responsibility to the conflict.  Avoid using hazy statements and global words such as “always” and “never”.  Be willing to tell other person his/her positive attributes.
  • 8.  Show positive regard and respect.  Be tough on the problem, not on the person.  Don’t take anything personally.  Be solution-oriented.
  • 9.  Actively listen.  Listen with empathy and try to stand in the shoe of the other.  Accept criticism of your ideas or behavior.  Paraphrase what you heard and clarify when needed.

  • 11. Conflict Resolution -focused on addressing the issue. Conflict Transformation -according to (Lederach 2003) it is involves changing the way parties look at issues, behaviors, and people or groups. It is takes place at both the internal and structural levels.
  • 12. Damaged self-esteem is one of the known effects of bullying. The victims of bullying withdraw or keep to themselves. They become loners or aloof.
  • 13.  Declare your classroom a zone of peace and establish rule to achieve it.  As the teacher, let the peace begin with you.  Affirm your students  Express feelings appropriately and encourage students to do so.  Encourage respect for and acceptance of differences.
  • 14.    Employ more cooperative than competitive activities. Teach students hot to resolve conflicts peacefully and constructively. Practice student’s skills of communication.
  • 15. A peaceful classroom is one where students feel safe and secure. It is a place where they grow as persons without threats of being ridiculed, marginalized or hurt.
