Rom. 5:1-2 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Genuine Christian Faith, is to believe in everything God has said and done in His written Word: the Bible. It is to believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary to save whomever would like to be saved. It is to trust in God all the time. It is to live according to what the Bible says: “The just shall live by faith” Habakkuk 2:4; Hebrews 10:38.
When the Lord gave us His Spirit, He gave us fully and without reserve, If you are a believer in The Lord Jesus Christ, you have it as it is your right and inheritance.

We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.

The Gift of Righteousness - Romans 3 21 31David Turner
We are not righteous because we do good. We are declared righteous because Christ is Righteous and his righteousness is imputed to us. Thus, righteousness is not something we earn. It is a gift.
The Lord’s church in an Experience Driven CultureDon McClain
“The Lord’s church in an 'Experience Driven Culture'” - [John 6:60-69] - As churches decline in membership, they begin to compromise to sustain numbers - Many churches have adopted the "market driven" approach – i.e., Find out what people want and give it to them - WHAT EVER THAT IS! — Many churches of Christ are dondoinge the same things! Can the church fight apathy and materialism by feeding people's carnal appetites? Has the word of God lost it’s power & effectiveness? What should the churches response be to the populace and its increasing hunger for an “experience” & disinterest in the truth? - MP3 / PPT / KEYNOTE / PDF - 5/17/2015
There is no doubt that we are saved by the grace of God - but is this some mystical force - Paul teaches us in Titus 2:11-15 that God's grace teaches us how not to live, how to live as well as provides us with motivation to live and speak as the Grace of God instructs.
Heb 13:5-6 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

Victory and Desperation - Spring 2016 ACEaustinexec
The Holy Spirit indwells us to connect us to God, baptizes us into the church body, and fills us to draw closer to Him while equipping us to love and serve others. Are you ready to live a life desperate for God, trusting Him completely?
3 points:
1. From 10 commandments - we are meant to be under God's rule
2. From 1 Corinthians - do not allow factions to dominate us
3. Focus on Christ
A Biblical Description of a Christian
I. A Son (2Ti 2:1).
II. A Soldier (2Ti 2:4).
III. A Wrestler (Eph 6:12, 2Ti 2:5).
IV. A Workman (2Ti 2:15).
V. A Vessel (2Ti 2:20-21).
VI. A Servant (2Ti 2:24).
VII. A Husbandman (2Ti 2:6).
Mt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mk 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Act 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Mt 13:15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.'
Act 20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Rom 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Heb 2:3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.
Jn 12:42-43 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Col 3:1-2 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Mt 17:20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.

2. By Faith We Enter
God’s Grace!
In Grace We Are
Enabled To Stand!
Rom 5:2 through whom also we have
access by faith into this grace in which we
stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of
God.
3. Standing in the
Grace of God!
Rom 5:1-2 Therefore, having
been justified by faith, we have
peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, through whom also
we have access by faith into this
grace in which we stand, and
rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
4.
5. Understanding what we
have been given in Christ!
■ One of the most important lessons we can
learn is to realize and recognize what we have
received “in Christ!”
■ Salvation! (2 Tim. 2:10)
■ All spiritual blessings! (Eph. 1:3)
■ “Count your many blessings!”
■ What would you put on your list?
■ Even the non-Christian would have a long list!
■ Every good gift & every perfect gift (Js.1:17)
6. Two amazing blessings that
God gives, mercy & grace!
■ God who is full of mercy!
■ Eph 2:4 But God, being full of mercy,
through the great love which He had for us.
■ God of all grace!
■ 1 Pet 5:10 But may the God of all grace,
who called us to His eternal glory by Christ
Jesus, after you have suffered a while,
perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
7.
8. I. This Requires
Strength!
■As this is the case when it comes to our physical
lives, it is also the case when it comes to our
spiritual lives!
■Ps 1:1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the
counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of
sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
■Isa 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall
renew their strength; They shall mount up with
wings like eagles, They shall run and not be
weary, They shall walk and not faint.
9. Right food, right nourishment,
and right exercise!
■Food!
■1 Pet 2:2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk
of the word, that you may grow thereby.
■Nourishment!
■Col 2:19 and not holding fast to the Head, from
whom all the body, nourished and knit together by
joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is
from God.
■Exercise
■1 Tim 4:7 But reject profane and old wives' fables,
and exercise yourself toward godliness.
10. II. This Requires
Stability!
■What does it mean to be unstable?
■Financially unstable?
■Mentally unstable?
■For us to stand, it takes strength & stability!
■Stability = is the state or quality of being stable or
secure (Oxford)
■If I was to ask you to cross a high bridge that was
deemed “un-stable” would you?
■Why or why not? Because it can’t be trusted, it is
unsafe, it can’t be counted on!
11. Stability in our
Christian lives!
■We need to live lives that are trustworthy and can
be counted on!
■Col 3:9 Do not lie to one another, since you
have put off the old man with his deeds.
■Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may
grow up into him in all things, which is the head,
even Christ:
■We need to be stable in the doctrine of Christ, we
need to be stable in our faith!
■Eph. 4:14; 2 Jn. 1:9-11; Heb. 10:22-23
12. III. This Requires
Sacrifice!
■How many of us have heard, or maybe
even said, “we must make a stand; or stand
up for what is right!”
■What do we mean by this, what are we
asking?
■We are asking people to “stop talking and start
walking!” It is time to move into action, it is time
to get involved, it is time to make a sacrifice for
what is right!
13.
14. From talking to
walking!
■Talking about helping others, talking about
what is wrong with our country, talking
about what needs to change, will only get
us so far!
■There comes a time when we must be
willing to act, to make a stand!
■There comes a time we must be willing to
sacrifice!
15. A life of sacrifice!
■ Lk 9:23-24 Then He said to them all, "If
anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow
Me. "For whoever desires to save his life will
lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake
will save it."
■ Rom 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God, to present your bodies
as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to
God, which is your spiritual worship.
16. Conclusion:
■ With God’s blessings comes responsibility!
■ We have been blessed to become a blessing,
forgiven to become forgiving, and saved to help
save others!
■ Are you truly “standing in the grace of God this
morning?”
■ Are you willing to stand up for what is right, are
you willing to make a stand?
■ If you are not a Christian, you have fallen
already! (Rom. 3:23) all have sinned & fallen...
