This document discusses the importance of humility and grace in the Christian faith. It provides several examples from the Bible where people were exalted by God when they humbled themselves, such as Daniel who prayed daily. The document contrasts humility with pride, noting that one must humble themselves before God to receive grace. It encourages behaviors like prayer, forgiveness, and avoiding boasting to cultivate humility before God.
This sermon considers Jesus' sixth beatitude, the blessing on the pure in heart. We consider two aspects of a pure heart: a heart that is undivided and a heart that is cleansed. We then look at Colin Smith's 7 steps to promote purity of heart as a practical application.
Do you desire to hear God's voice? How do you know when He's speaking? This study details the methods through which God speaks and the heart we must have in order to hear Him clearly.
The apostle Paul says that he continually asks God to fill the Colossian Church with knowledge of God's will. He tells us that it is the Holy Spirit who gives us wisdom and understanding to know God's will.
We must ask for God's will, listen to the Holy Spirit, discern His will and then follow His instruction to us.
The fruit of the spirit is joy. Paul’s letter tto the Philippians teaches us that real joy is not dependent on our circumstances, but on being in a right relationship with our Lord Jesus and with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

1. What Does It Mean to be a Disciple of Jesus? KeynoteWilliam Anderson
This is the first of four sessions of our "Being and Making Disciples" workshop held in Sacele, Romania on September 1, 2012. In this session we answer the question "What Does It Means to be a Disciple of Jesus?". We did this by first looking at what the word "disciple" means and then looking at what Jesus, Peter and Paul had to say about being a disciple and then we finished by looking at Jesus' life to learn from His example. English with Romanian translation.

Tomorrow we are starting a new series of study:
“The New Man” is a seminar that will focus on the spirit of man, its soul and its body.
We will learn the properties of each one of these three parts of man.
Our spirit is called to be the ruling part of us, actually, our spirit is the main part of our being, and is the place where the spirit of God dwells in.
We meet in Room #3 at CTF Toronto Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. I invite you to come and participate with us in this discovery of how to let our spirit become the ruler of our life.
The Fruit of the Spirit is Self-ControlDave Stewart
The final fruit of the spirit is self-control, which means that we are to have control over our bodies and minds. The apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9 reminded us that we must be like athletes.
The end or object of God's righteousness in a believer's life is not simply to be good but to live as Him, to love as He loves in the world. If Christian's cannot love each other how then can we say we love those opposed to Christ? What is this love God commands of us? How is it different from the world's love? How does loving the brethren confirm we are truly Christian?

The Gift of Righteousness - Romans 3 21 31David Turner
We are not righteous because we do good. We are declared righteous because Christ is Righteous and his righteousness is imputed to us. Thus, righteousness is not something we earn. It is a gift.
Rom. 5:1-2 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

11.30.14 part 5 The Grace of God in our Humility
1.
2. For the law was given through Moses;
grace and truth came through Jesus
Christ.
C o l o s s i a n s
1 : 6
All over the world this gospel is bearing
fruit and growing, just as it has been
doing among you since the day you heard
it and understood God's grace in all its
truth.
3. Appropriately, the free unmerited
love and favor of God, the spring
and source of all the benefits men
receive from him.
GRACE also means receiving God's
blessings we don't deserve.
4. 1. The Grace of God in our
Salvation.
2. The Grace of God in our Total
Development and Transformation.
3. The Grace of God in our Calling
to Serve in the Ministry.
4. The Grace of God in our Times of
Needs and Prosperity.
5. The Grace of God in our Humility
5.
6. 1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves,
therefore, under God's mighty hand,
that he may lift you up in due time.
7. Matthew 23:12
For whoever exalts
himself will be humbled,
and whoever humbles
himself will be exalted.
8. Jonah 2:8
Those who cling to worthless
idols forfeit the grace that
could be theirs.
9. NOTE:
GOD GIVES GRACE TO THE
HUMBLE AND
WE HUMBLE AND BECOME
HUMBLE BY GOD'S GRACE.
MEEKNESS IS NOT A SIGN OF
WEAKNESS
IT TAKES A LOT OF STRENGTH
AND COURAGE TO BECOME
MEEK AND HUMBLE
10. Daniel 10:12
Then he continued, "Do not be
afraid, Daniel. Since the first day
that you set your mind to gain
understanding and to humble
yourself before your God, your
words were heard, and I have
come in response to them.
11. DANIEL PRAYER
MAKES US
HUMBLE.
DANIEL PRAYER
IS 3X PRAYING
WITH
THANKSGIVING
DAILY ON OUR
KNEES
12. Daniel 6:10
Now when Daniel learned that the
decree had been published, he
went home to his upstairs room
where the windows opened
toward Jerusalem. Three times a
day he got down on his knees and
prayed, giving thanks to his God,
just as he had done before.
13. NOTE:
PRAYERLESSNESS IS A
FORM OF PRIDE THAT
SHOWS YOU CAN MAKE OR
DO IT WITHOUT GOD.
NEGLECTING TO PRAY IS
NEGLECTING TO HUMBLE
YOURSELF BEFORE GOD.
14. Philippians 2:8 And being found in
appearance as a man, he humbled
himself and became obedient to
death-- even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:9 Therefore God exalted
him to the highest place and gave him
the name that is above every name,
15. Hebrews 3:15
As has just been said:"Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your
hearts as you did in the rebellion.“
NOTE:
DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD'S VOICE IS REBELLION
16. GOD BREAKS DOWN THE STUBBORN PRIDE
Leviticus 26:18
'If after all this you will not listen to me, I will
punish you for your sins seven times over.
Leviticus 26:19 I will break down your
stubborn pride and make the sky above you
like iron and the ground beneath you like
bronze.
Leviticus 26:20 Your strength will be spent in
vain, because your soil will not yield its
crops, nor will the trees of the land yield
their fruit.
17. 1Peter 5:5 Young men, in the
same way be submissive to
those who are older. All of you,
clothe yourselves with humility
toward one another, because,
"God opposes the proud but
gives grace to the humble.",
18. NOTE: WE HUMBLE AND BECOME
HUMBLE WHEN WE ACCEPT
CORRECTIONS AND REBUKES
Titus 2:15 These, then, are the
things you should teach.
Encourage and rebuke with
all authority. Do not let
anyone despise you.
19. Psalms 51:3
For I know my
transgressions, and my
sin is always before me.
20.
21. Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive men
when they sin against you, your
heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive
men their sins, your Father will not
forgive your sins.
Matthew 18:35 "This is how my
heavenly Father will treat each of you
unless you forgive your brother from
your heart."
22. Romans 12:16 Live in harmony
with one another. Do not be
proud, but be willing to
associate with people of low
position. Do not be conceited.
23. (CEV) Be friendly with everyone. Don't be
proud and feel that you are smarter than
others. Make friends with ordinary people.
(AMP) Live in harmony with one another; do
not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded,
exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to
[people, things] and give yourselves to
humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself
or be wise in your own conceits.(1)
(NLT) Live in harmony with each other. Don't
try to act important, but enjoy the company
of ordinary people. And don't think you
know it all!
24. 1Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace
of God I am what I am, and his
grace to me was not without effect.
No, I worked harder than all of
them--yet not I, but the grace of
God that was with me.
25. James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift
is from above, coming
down from the Father of
the heavenly lights, who
does not change like
shifting shadows.
26. Jeremiah 9:23 This is what the LORD
says: "Let not the wise man boast of
his wisdom or the strong man boast of
his strength or the rich man boast of
his riches,
Jeremiah 9:24 but let him who boasts
boast about this: that he understands
and knows me, that I am the LORD,
who exercises kindness, justice and
righteousness on earth, for in these I
delight," declares the LORD.
28. James 4:13 Now listen, you who
say, "Today or tomorrow we will
go to this or that city, spend a
year there, carry on business
and make money."
James 4:14 Why, you do not even
know what will happen
tomorrow. What is your life? You
are a mist that appears for a little
while and then vanishes.
29. James 4:15 Instead, you
ought to say, "If it is the
Lord's will, we will live
and do this or that."
James 4:16 As it is, you
boast and brag. All such
boasting is evil.
30. CHALLENGE TO MAKE A
COMMITMENT TO HUMILITY
1.) DO THE DANIEL PRAYER
2.) ALWAYS APOLOGIZE
3.) ALWAYS FORGIVE
4.) NEVER BOAST ABOUT
YOURSELF BUT BOAST IN THE
