Transportation 2050 | The future of personal mobilityIdeafarms
A Delphi white paper in collaboration with Ideafarm s. Transportation 2050 presents a radical view of how personal mobility and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) will alter the landscape for transportation in ways that will be as disruptive to the automobile as the automobile was to the horse and buggy.
From electric cars to autonomous vehicles; and from entertainment on-the-go to vehicles that are semi-legal entities, Transportation 2050 provides a future view of mobility that offers a sustainable model for industry and the planet, while changing some of the most fundamental notions we have of the automobile's role, the business model for personal transportation, automobile ownership, and personal mobility.
This document presents a queueing analysis of two intersections in Bangalore, India using VISSIM microsimulation software. The methodology involved collecting field data on traffic volumes, speeds, vehicle classifications and signal timings. This data was used to calibrate the VISSIM model and compare simulated delays and queue lengths to observed field measurements. The results showed that VISSIM was able to accurately replicate existing conditions and could be used to test potential improvements like modified signal timings.

A infração das regras é considerada grave e pass
Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) uses information and communication technologies to improve transportation safety, mobility, and efficiency. ITS applications include traffic management, emergency response, electronic toll collection, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication. Key technologies enabling ITS are vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), which allow vehicles to communicate, and wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which can monitor road conditions. Open research challenges include reliable communication in dense traffic and leveraging cloud computing with VANETs and vehicle resources.

The document provides information on defensive driving techniques. It discusses proper seating position, recommended hand positions on the steering wheel, common driving distractions to avoid, pre-trip vehicle inspections, how to handle aggressive drivers and road rage, what to do if your rear or front wheels skid, developing a defensive driving attitude, and tips for night driving and rural driving. Check your tires regularly as they are critical for safety, and be aware that tires have expiration dates after 4 years.

The document provides extensive information and suggestions to prevent road accidents. It discusses road accident statistics worldwide and in various countries. It then lists numerous specific measures that can be taken by governments, organizations, schools, parents and individuals to improve road safety and reduce accidents through better enforcement of rules, public awareness campaigns, vehicle and road improvements, and changes in driver behavior.
Growth of population in dar es salaam versus its infrastructureibrahim nuhu
The growth of Dar es Salaam's population has outpaced the development of infrastructure in the city. The population grew at 5.6% annually according to the 2012 census, higher than projected. However, the infrastructure has not kept up with this rising population. This has led to issues like traffic congestion from more vehicles, inadequate public transportation, and loss of public spaces. Solutions proposed include improving roads and public transit, reforming parking policies, and integrating land use and transportation planning through a specialized urban transport institution. While the government is working to address these challenges, continued coordination will be needed to match Dar es Salaam's infrastructure with its rising population.

The document discusses different types of traffic control devices used to regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic. It describes traffic markings like longitudinal lines that delineate lanes and indicate whether passing is allowed. It also covers traffic signs that regulate movements, warn of hazards, and provide guidance to drivers. Common shapes and colors for signs are outlined. Finally, it discusses traffic signals and their role in controlling intersections.
Traffic congestion have a big impact on our personal life, career, future and even our safety. it causes stress, annoy and frustrate us. the traffic jams burns fuel at a higher rate .
The high fuel consumption hiked fares for public means and it also contributes greatly to the amount of emissions of greenhouse gases that create air pollution and eventually global warming.
we trying here partially to solve this problem in critical segments such as bridge, viaduct or tunnel etc. by using Excel simulation for Flow – Density relationship.
this presentation is prepared for the implementation of advance traffic management system in the city of Nagpur (India). The traffic pattern of Nagpur is similar to any rapidly growing city of India. Hence the technology and methods explained here can be applied to any city having population more then 1 million.
transportation is the back bone of countries economical development. providing good and effective transportation facility will help in developing countries economy. transportation will save time, money, and work can be done easily. intelligent transportation system provides more benefits to the nation.
