 Media comes from the latin’s words namely
 medius which literally means          "middle",
 "intermediate", or "introduction“

 media is anything that can be used to deliver a
 message from the sender to the receiver. So it
 can stimulate the thoughts, feelings, concerns,
 and interests of students in such a way that the
 learning process occurs.
A. Learning media

       Learning media is media that carry messages
  or      information    aimed     at    containing
  instructional of teaching purposes by Gagne
  and Briggs (1975) which is consisting of books,
  tape recorders, cassettes, video camera, video
  recorder,     film,   slides   (images),   photos,
  pictures, graphics, television and computer.
B. Media education
        Media education is the medium that carries the
   information or messages as a source of learning, both in
   the form of software and hardware. Examples of
   educational media are drawings, photographs, sketches,
   diagrams, charts / charts, graphs, cartoons, posters,
   radio and others.

C. Mass Media
        The media comes from two words, namely the media
   and the masses. Media is a tool, while the masses are the
   people and the general public. So it can be concluded that
   the mass media is an intermediary to convey the message
   to the public or the crowds. The message contains the
   necessary information society, both on the political,
   social, economic, or cultural. An example of the mass
   media are newspapers and newspapers.
 The learning media especially the visual
  media has four functions:
A. The function of attention
B. The affective functions
C. The Cognitive function
D. The compensations
 1. It makes the student’s motivation increase.
 2 It makes the students master the learning
  objectives well.
 3. Teaching methods will be variative
 4. The students can learn more activities,
  such as observing, perform, demonstrate
  and others.
Audiovisual media composed of two
words, namely audio and visual. Audio
means hearing or can be heard, while the
one that appears visually to the eye or a
look. So the audiovisual media is a media
that can be heard and can also be seen by
our senses. Examples of audio-visual media,
namely television and computer.
Media is an intermediate (tools) to
achieve learning objectives. Use media
appropriate to the success in the learning
process. As we know that many kinds of
learning media. Therefore, the teachers
should be able to choose the media that
suits the learning materials so that learning
objectives can be achieved smoothly.
