solution
• If the sodium

is have 5% strength
and you wish to
prepare 1% then
take 200 ml hypo
+ 800 ml water
(for preparation of
1 litre)

8. How to use ?
• Use judiciously, Don’t use excessively .
• At home diluted SHS used by soaking a cloth, wipes ,
spray bottle.
• Never mix with other solutions

9. Precautions while using
• Stored it separately from corrosives, detrgentts etc
• Avoid to sprinkle on body parts and especially face, eye, nose
• Don’t try to bath/spray all over the body of patient
• Highly irritating to skin, eye respiratory tract.
• Causes cough, difficulty in breathing, stomatitis, pulmonary
odema, circulatory collapse, convulsion
• Strong oxidizer
• Corrosive to metal, so wipe down metal surface with water after
use of SHS.
• Accidental exposure case to eye or skin= flush with running water
locally for 15-20 minutes.
