Ten years ago, Mark Prensky coined the terms digital natives ( a person who was born during or after the introduction of digital technology) and digital immigrants. However, recent reseach shows that these "natives" are not so comfortable with technology as expected. Today, Martin Weller proposes a more realistic view on this topic and introduces "the digital scholar". In this presentation, the presenter (Phd-student, teacher and webaddict) brings her point of view on how teachers can use social media in their classroom.
