This document discusses Océ's implementation of Intranet 2.0 tools on a limited budget. It describes how Océ transitioned from many local intranets to a single global intranet. When the financial crisis hit in 2008, the intranet budget was cut to zero. In response, Océ introduced social media tools like blogs, wikis, idea management, and microblogging to engage employees on a limited budget. These efforts boosted creativity, engagement, and collaboration. Océ was able to implement an integrated, cross-media communication strategy and save costs despite budget constraints by leveraging social media.
The document discusses mobile trends based on insights from MediaCom. It notes that (1) media consumption is becoming more fragmented as people use multiple screens, (2) smartphone adoption is accelerating rapidly with over half of populations in countries like Denmark and the US now owning smartphones, and (3) for those aged 18-29 in Denmark, over 3/4 now own smartphones.
This document discusses market segmentation and the bases for segmenting consumer and business markets. It defines market segmentation as dividing a market into homogeneous groups based on factors like wants, resources, locations, and buying practices. Criteria for selecting market segments include being measurable, accessible, durable, substantial, and having unique needs. Consumer markets can be segmented geographically, demographically, psychographically, and behaviorally based on variables like age, income, interests, usage, and more. Business markets can also be segmented using these variables but also consider factors like company size, industry, purchasing approaches, product usage, and location.

3. When used properly with clear objectives, social media can generate revenues through increased interactivity, productivity, valuable customer data, knowledge sharing, improved marketing and enabling existing concepts. However, organizations must avoid critical failures like having an incongruent strategy or failing to engage audiences.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
