Social interaction is the foundation of society and group life. It is the major process of socialization from birth to death in every culture. Social interaction occurs between individuals, between individuals and groups, and between groups. It includes interactions like those between doctors and patients, customers and shopkeepers, singers and audiences. Social processes are the ways individuals and groups interact and establish relationships and patterns of behavior, which are modified through further social interaction.
