This document provides instructions for writing a 5-minute soap opera script, including introducing locations and characters, using appropriate formatting conventions, and limiting to 1-2 locations and not too many characters. Students will work in groups to choose the best script, and their homework is to write a soap opera script and create a pitch to sell their idea and script, due the Thursday after half term.

 The opening of a soap opera (you will include the title
sequence but not for your script)
 1-2 locations (no more than 3)
 5 min only
 Not too many characters
 Set your script out using the appropriate conventions (like
your Dr Who one)
