Larry Age 11 Case Study
A referral for a neuropsychological evaluation for Larry, age 11, is made to Dr. Stanford Binet.
Larry exhibits difficulty with organization, sitting still, staying on task, controlling anger
outbursts, and has not been completing work on level with his same aged peers. The NEPSY II
is one of the few neuropsychological tests that can be used with children 3 years of age to 16
years of age. The LNNB was created in the 1970s as a qualitative and quantitative approach
measure in neuropsychology. The LNNB not only gives diagnostic information but also provides a
basis for clinical applications and treatment. The Kufman Assessment Battery for Children (K
ABC) was designed to measure cognitive ability in children. Testing measures that are outside of

Cultural Analysis of Australia
Geography Australia is both the smallest and oldest continent in the world, and it is the only
country that is also a continent. [1] It is an island located between the Indian Ocean and the South
Pacific, just south of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. At 2,941,299 square miles, Australia is the
sixth largest country in the world and only about 150,000 square miles (about the size of Montana)
smaller than the continental United States. Its interior land is a flat and sparsely populated desert,
but as you move outward the climate changes to grassland, subtropical, tropical, and even temperate
in the southeastern region. [1] While more than 70% of Australia is arid, the rest includes a variety
of rich environments including flood plains,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Figure 2 Australian population concentrations by region. Growth Every state had population
growth between 2001 and 2011. Queensland recorded the largest growth (845,200 people),
while Western Australia recorded the fastest growth (24%). The Northern Territory had the
smallest growth, increasing by 33,600 people, while Tasmania and South Australia had the
slowest growth (both 8.4%). [6] A key contributor to change in the distribution of Australia s
population is internal migration. During 2009 2010, 331,400 people moved from one state or
territory to another. This is an 8% drop from the same period one year earlier (359,900). [6] In
2009 2010, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania all recorded net interstate
migration gains, while New South Wales, South Australia, Northern Territory and the Australian
Capital Territory had net interstate migration losses. Queensland has recorded positive net
interstate migration for more than 30 years; in contrast, New South Wales has had net losses
every year since 1978. However, any losses due to net interstate migration in 2009 were offset by
growth due to natural increase (births minus deaths) and net overseas migration. [7] Age

A SCENE ANALYSIS OF CITIZEN KANE
Citizen Kane is a 1941 film written, starred and directed by Orson Welles, a 25 year old untested
producer at the time. It is contemplated by many as the greatest film of all time evidenced by the
numerous plaudits and nominations it has won. It has drawn praise due to its excellent use of
cinematography and narrative techniques. The film examines the life and legacy of Charles
Forster Kane played by Welles. In the opening scene of the movie, Kane dies and his last word
was Rosebud. The film is largely based on flashbacks describing his life. A reporter, Jerry
Thompson is tasked with finding out the meaning of Rosebud and interviews Kane s former
associates.

belie the film s relatively low cost. This is partly due to Welle s idea of conducting rehearsals
before doing the actual shooting. This was also unheard of in the film industry at the time making
it even more impressive. Conversations are well set and delivered, action scenes well coordinated
and emotions so believable. All the actors in this film display great mastery of their various roles

A Golden Age
Student Name Professor Name Subject Date A Golden Age Less than 30 years after the war of
Independence, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and West Pakistan (now Pakistan) had grown so
further apart, even from the obvious geographical disconnect, that the liberation war of 1971
could be termed as inevitable. For some it was the war of liberation but for many who lost their
friends, neighbors and other loved ones, it was a time of selfish loss. Bengal s growing need for
an identity, equal and ethnic acceptance and a pride in their mother language eventually led to
many conflicts both emotional and political. Having been recently independent from British
India, the Two Nation Theory was engraved in everyone s minds. But the geographical division
of East and West Pakistan was much more than distance; it was felt as a conspiracy for West
Pakistan to govern the entire country (Bose, 1).The war was considered an unnecessary act by
some as autonomy was the desired result and not a new country. However as the story of the lives
of civilians unfold the distrust and unfairness of the situation in the country is seen to be evident.
Perhaps it was this feeling of unequal representation and a desire for provincial autonomy that led
to an ever present sense of estrangement. That time was considered the golden age of Bengal and
the characters are faced with that piece of history that eventually helped change the map of the
world. In addition to the linguistic, racial, temperamental,

Genius Hour Essay
Greetings and welcome to my Genius hour project! This is a project I have chosen because I am a
very intuitive person, and with an abstract object such as the brain to study, I feel inspired to learn
more and investigate the brain s actions, jobs, abilities, and the overall science behind it. The
human brainshapes the way we perceive and think about our everyday lives based on the
experiences we gather and live through. My genius hour project is about where the best learning
happens. For my genius hour infographic I decided it would be appropriate to learn about what
also happens to the human brain when problems are formed inside. This lead me to the complex
field of neurology. This field inspired me quite materially.

MIS589_WK4_Mini case MegaCorp_PC
Questions:
MegaCorp is a large manufacturing firm that operates 5 factories in Dallas, 4 factories in Los
Angeles, and 5 factories in Albany, New York. It operates a tightly connected order management
system that coordinates orders, raw materials, and inventory across all 14 factories. What type of
WAN architecture and WAN service would you recommend? Why?
Recommendations:
When designing a WAN, numerous factors must be considered. Organizations attempting to
connect multiple factories or offices and remote personnel must take into account a number of
variables that will impact overall costs and network functionality. When designing and
implementing wide area networks (WANs) that integrate voice, video,... Show more content on

So therefore, based off the information provided, I would recommend a packet switched
architecture, or more specifically a Frame relay with a CIR 45 Mbps WAN service. Frame Relay is
packet switched data link layer protocol that handles multiple virtual circuits using High Level Data
Link Control (HDLC) encapsulation between connected devices. (Cisco, 2005) In many cases,
Frame Relay is more efficient than X.25 and generally less expensive than ATM. Also the data
provided does not suggest that MegaCorp specifically has needs for the extensive QoS
information that ATM provides that would enable the setting of very precise priorities among
different types of transmissions such as high priority for voice and video and lower priority for
email. If the company were a consulting firm with a high propensity for needs on bandwidth
because of video conferencing or high bandwidth requiring applications then perhaps ATM
architecture with a T1 or T3 WAN service might be more suitable. Even though MegaCorp is a
large manufacturing firm recommending Ethernet services might prove to be too expensive of a
proposal as well and thus causing us to lose the project. The cost associated to having each factory
connected by fiber optic cables to the provider s city wide MAN backbone plus the cost of the
Ethernet switch might not be justified by the company s bandwidth needs.

Islamic Finance Within Compliance Of Sharia Law
Introduction
Islamic finance within compliance of Sharia law form the core of Islamic banking and have
become one of the fastest growing segments of the financial industry, operating in over 75 countries
(Cihak,Hesse2008). Islamic finance initially was concentrated in the Middle East and South East
Asia, but is now found globally. The roots of Islamic finance stemmed from the efforts of Islamic
scholars to identify alternatives to the interest based system that is prohibited and condemned by
Allah within the Quran. Islamic finance also prohibits the practice of lending money for
investments in tobacco, alcohol, gambling and weapons per Sharia law. In the wake of the global
financial crisis however, there has been a renewed interest on the ... Show more content on

The first states that paying interest is prohibited, thus Islamic banks have to use contracts that
create exposure to the real sector and must ensure efficient risk management (citation needed). The
second principle revolves around the profit and loss sharing concept, where any financial
transaction must share both risk and reward so excessive losses and profits are minimized. The
third principle prohibits uncertainty and/or speculation. Uncertainty in contractual terms and
conditions is forbidden, however, risk taking is allowed only when all terms and conditions are
clearly outlined to all participating parties. The last principle requires the use of asset backing,
where each financial transaction must relate to tangible and/or identifiable underlying assets that
ensure Islamic banks remain connected to the real economy. A better understanding of Islamic
finance is called for in all respects.
Islamic Finance Historical and Religious beginnings
Islamic finance took its roots at the beginning of the 7th century when the Prophet Muhammad
claimed to have received revelations directly from God (Allah). At the time of these revelations the
current standards/rules of financial operations were derived from the Quran and the Sunna,
however, since then there has been a continuing process of coordinated adjustment

Matthew 1 Genealogies
Matt 1:1 2:23. Predominantly, the Gospel of Matthew 1 traces the lineage of Jesus the Messiah,
the son David and the son of Abraham. These genealogies were important to Israel, as they took
meticulous records for identifying one as a Jew to receive blessings from God, his chosen
people. Furthermore, each tribe received inherited land in Israel, and required evidence that he
was descended from that precise tribe. Expressly, if you were a Jew descended from Mosesand
could prove this connection, it was considered to secure a meaningful blessing. Matthew s sole
purpose is to present JesusChrist as the Savior of Israel. Additionally, he recited numerous
prophecies from the Old Testament, incorporating how Jesus fulfilled them

Mobile Phones Today
1.Introduction
As at July 2013, there were 7,095,217,980 people in the world. According to the world population
statistics for the year 2013, 8.2% of the world population are elders (male 257,035,416/female
321,753,746). 53% of the world population own a smart phone. Out of the 7 million people in the
world, over 4.3 billion people use mobile phones and this will increase to 5.1 billion by 2017.
(Fox, 2013) Technology evolves day by day. Scientist became inquisitive about how to make mobile
phone user experience better. That led to the discovery of the touchscreenmobile device in the 19
s. The first touchscreen mobile phone was created by IBM Simon in 1993. Touchscreen technology
is that which allows for a better user interaction, just having to touch the screen of a device, the
operation is carried out. It is more convenient and easier to use. Touchscreen mobile devices are
useful in every aspect, from entertainment, education, recreation, socialization to communication.
With a touchscreen mobile device, a user is able to make phone calls, send and receive text
messages, get acquainted with latest news, socialize via the social networking app that can be
downloaded on the phone, play memory simulating games and other games.
Most manufacturer often ask a question which is why older individuals find it difficult to cope or
interact with the latest technology such as the touch screen technology. A quick answer to this,
could be that older individuals do not have a need for

A Trip On A Family Vacation At California, Disneyland, The...
I ve been on a family vacation for ten days that included a road trip to California, Disneyland, the
beach, and a family reunion camping trip. It was a pretty ambitious trip and has provided an
interesting reflection on budgeting budgeting time, budgeting money, and budgeting food. I read
an article recently that said the biggest reason people are late is that they are too optimistic. I
laughed out loud when I read that. I so often optimistically try to fit in one more thing before I
leave and then end up leaving late or I get too optimistic about there not being any traffic and then
I am shocked when I hit traffic and arrive late. Truly budgeting time in a way that makes me not
late means budgeting for contingencies, allowing room for things to go wrong, and knowing
everything will not go as planned, but still being able to arrive on time. I have to put extra time into
my time budget, or I run out of time too soon.
I think the same is true for food and money too. I have to plan for contingencies, know
everything will not go as planned, and add in extra room when I can. I took money expert Dave
Ramsey s Financial Peace University class just before I left on vacation and so made an effort to
budget my vacation money the way he recommends, using envelopes for each category. I
separated our travel food budget into 10 envelopes, one for each day of the trip, and put cash into
each envelope to use on food each day. What a challenge that has been! There have been meals

Earned Income Tax Case Study
For many years low income families have been stigmatized due programs destined to provide
welfare. Most of the families that are in need of economic support undergo a scrutinized agenda,
which most of the time, question by question undresses recipients by stripping their dignity. In
my childhood we used something similar to food stamps. We were a family of 12 members,
parents and 10 children. I remembered my mother crying full of anger and frustration when the
government sent a letter saying: Your case is under revision. Even if revision looked like a
positive reason (it could mean an increase of benefits), this meant checks would be delayed at least

The rate of participants is high compared with other income support programs. Federal and State
governments are trying to encourage feedback from recipient programs and involvement of
qualified participants. According to Beecroft (2012), the Virginia s IRS has initiated a campaign
to improve outreach to individuals who can benefit from those services. Same program has been
implemented to reach families located in New York and California. The Virginia government
contracted a private agency to prepare mailing notices and perform phone calls to instruct
qualified candidates to use EITC benefits. This study makes two main contributions to existing
research by providing: rigorous evidence on the impacts of low cost outreach for the EITC,
including a simple cost benefit analysis; and more recent estimates of EITC take up rates for
recipients of public assistance, based on accurate data sources. This study also uses large sample

The United States Army And Selective Service Essay
The most hardworking people are usually the least recognized. They are generally the least paid as
well. There must be some sort of incentive for them to continually work so hard. The United States
Army has been the underdogs of the military branch. The United States Army is probably the
hardest working branch of the military, but also the least sought after. To the general public they
are not considered to be at the top of the spectrum amongst the other branches of military. The
government has helped in creating a bias within the branches of military by making the
standards to get into the military so low compared to some of the other branches. The Army
should be considered the People s Army. There is a pivotal point in life where as a man must
enroll in the selective service. That is a really scary point in life because it seems like there is a
chance to be selected in the military by draft. There is also entrance in the military by choice.
There is a percentage of Americans that willingly enter into the military coming straight out of
high school. Those Americans that willingly want to join the military are required to take a test
called the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB as it is most commonly called.
That test acts as an entrance exam to every branch of the military, as well as what jobs you
qualify for once you pick a branch. The every year Americans shoot to make the highest score
possible in order to be apart of the more sought after branches

Marfan Syndrome
Marfan Syndrome Have you ever wondered about the diseases that you can get from your
parents? One of these major diseases that can change someone s life is called the Marfan
Syndrome. Marfan Syndrome is a disorder of connective tissue that is inherited from the parents.
The bones and circulatory system are usually the parts of the body that are longer and the ones that
are changed because of the disease.
There are many things that can cause a disease. Marfan syndrome is caused by a mutation in the
fibrillin 1 gene. The gene produces a protein that is essential for formatting the elastic fibers found
in connective tissue. About 75 percent of people with Marfan syndrome inherit the mutation from
one affected parent. A parent who has... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Examples of organ systems that are affected by Marfan Syndrome would be the Skeletal system, the
muscular system, your heart and you blood vessels. It would affect your bone by making you very
tall, slender, and loose jointed. You re Arms, legs, fingers, and toes may be disproportionately
long in relation to the rest of the body because Marfan syndrome affects the long bones of the
skeleton. A person with Marfan syndrome usually has a long, narrow face, and the roof of the
mouth may be arched, causing the teeth to be crowded. It weakens and stretches your muscles and
begins to place weight on the vertebrae in the lower spine.
It would also start to wear away the bone surrounding the spinal cord. It would also make your
heart weaker and more vulnerable to damage and kill the person with the disease. It would then
affect your blood vessels by making the large artery that carries blood from the heart to the rest of
the body, weak and it will stretch. Then because of this it will increase the risk that the artery will
erupt and if it does it will cause serious heart problems or sudden death.
Our Lives are very short and when you have a disease it makes your life even shorter. People with
Marfan Syndrome have to face this catastrophe everyday of their lives. Wondering when they will
die because of their disease. If I had a genetic disease, I would be very sad and not happy because I
would wonder when I would die. The people who don t

Mercedes Vs Subaru Research Paper
Mercedes Benz CLA250 vs. Subaru WRX Premium
If you re in the market for a new entry level luxury sedan you ve probably run across the
Mercedes Benz CLA250. The Mercedes starts at $32,400, which is very cheap for a Mercedes,
and that s exactly what they want you to think. Over the years Mercedes has grown to be a
respected German car company making very pricy luxury cars. They all come with extremely
fancy heated and cooled massaging seats, top of the line audio systems and attention to detail
that will blow your mind away. This all comes with a price tag, you must be making a lot of

car but it does have better fuel economy. Front wheel drive handles awful and is horrible in the

slow and make the car even less fun to drive. On the Subaru you have two options. You have the
option between a 6 speed manual or an automatic CVT transmission. If you have a brain you ll
buy this car with the 6 speed manual. I believe every car should have a manual option as it is the
best way to drive a car. It s more involving and makes you pay more attention to the road. Plus
you can t text and drive or any other distracting weird thing people do while driving. In all when
you look at these cars they are very similar but when you look a little deeper you can tell Mercedes
is pulling the classic rip off I still give Mercedes kudos for their other cars, but this one just doesn

Effect of pH and Acid Phosphatase
The practical was carried out to investigate the effect of pH on the reaction of the enzyme acid
phosphatase. Of the many functions of proteins, catalysis is by far the most vital. When catalysis
is not present, most reactions in the biological systems take place very slowly to produce at an
adequate pace for metabolising organism. The catalysts that take this role are called enzymes.
Enzymes are the most efficient catalysts; they can enhance rate of reaction by up to 1020 over
uncatalysed reactions. (Campbell et al, 2012). Enzyme catalysis is dependant upon factors such as
concentration of enzyme and substrate, temperature and pH. These factors determine the rate of
reaction, and an increase in temperature or pH above the optimum will... Show more content on

After 30 seconds the same enzyme volume was added to the second flask. This was continued to
the third, fourth and fifth flasks with interval of 30 seconds until the final addition occurred at
2.5 minutes. 3ml of sample was taken first flask at 4 minutes and added to the appropriate tube of
sodium hydroxide, from the second flask at 4.5 minute and so on, each flask was sampled at 30
second intervals. The sampling was then repeated starting at 8,12,16 minutes. The final sample
from the last flask was taken at 18.5 minutes. Once the sampling was completed, measurements of
absorbance were obtained for solution in each tube at 405 nm. Discussion Tables 2,3,4,5 and 6
show that as duration increased the absorbance also increased for each pH. The solution in the
conical flask became darker (yellow) in time this is because the substrate, p nitrophenyl phosphate
was catalysed by acid phosphatase, releasing Nitrophenolate anion. It was the Nitrophenolate anion
giving off the yellow colour; the presence of this feature increases the absorbance rate. The addition
of sodium hydroxide distorted the shape of the enzyme making it no longer effective in its function.
The addition of sodium hydroxide at different times means that the amount of Nitrophenolate anion
released will be different, thus, will have different absorbance readings (generally lower). The more
time the enzyme is exposed to the substrate without the addition of

Les Grands Boulevard And La Grande Jatte
Through my analysis and comparison of Les Grands Boulevard and La Grande Jatte I hope to
convey to the reader that these two paintings, although painted in different styles, both illustrate
the need to slow down and enjoy life. Les Grands Boulevards is a 20 1/2 x 25in. European oil on
canvas painting created by Pierre Auguste Renoir in 1875 during the impressionismmovement (
Philadelphia Museum of Art ). The painting is currently housed in the Philadelphia Museum of Art
( Philadelphia Museum of Art ). A Sunday on La Grande Jatte is another European oil on canvas
painting. Georges Seuratstarted this painting in 1884 during the post impressionism movement and
completed it in 1886 ( About This Artwork. ). In 1889 Seurat made one final change to La Grande
Jatte, restretching the canvas to 81 3/4 x 121 1/4in in order to add a painted border ( About This
Artwork. ). The painting is now located at the Art Institute of Chicago( About This Artwork. ).
Renoir s use of blurred details, blended colors and optical effect of light and color in Les Grands
Boulevard show a fleeting moment of contemporary life in Paris in 1875.The painting depicts one
of the so called grands boulevard of Paris. Brought about by the industrial revolution, the boulevard
was a newly restored and modernized urban setting at the time Renoir painted it. The painting

in itself does not cause weight gain. In 1977, the Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human
Needs recommended a dietary guideline that limited fat intake to no more than 30% per day.
According to statistics, the instances of obesity started to increase around the same time fat was
villanized and low fat products became more popular. Furthermore, similar studies claim that the
war on fat led people to substitute butter and lard with processed low fat food which are high in
artificial flavoring and sugar.
More and more health enthusiasts are learning that not all fat is bad for the body. In fact, recently
Dr. Jonny Bowden and Dr. Steven Masley, a nutritionexperts, published their book entitled Smart
Fat, which details the benefits of consuming the right kind of fat to losing weight. ... Show more

He explained that Masley have seen firsthand what fat deprivation does to the body and according
to him, it is not good.
He further explains that their Smart Fat diet plan has one basic principle five portions of smart
fat, five portions of clean proteins and 10 servings of fiber. He claims that most of the pitfalls of
people who embrark on a high fat, low carb diet is not including enough fiber in their meal plan.
According to the doctor, fiber helps in the weight loss process and it prevents diabetes and heart
disease.
The doctor was quick to explain that more than diet there are many more factors that affect weight
loss. However he seemed more than certain that his fat laden diet is key to losing weight in the

Abstract: Collegiate athletes participating in the two revenue sports (football, men s basketball)
sacrifice their time, education, and risk physical harm for their respected programs. The players
are controlled by a governing body (NCAA) that dictates when they can show up to work, and
when they cannot show up for work. They are restricted from making any substantial financial gains
outside of their sports arena. These athletes receive no compensation for their efforts, while others
prosper from their abilities. The athletes participating in the two revenue sports of college athletics,

There is a reality to college athletes participating in men s basketball and football. The reality is
these athletes are being exploited, and as argued by Stanley Eitzen, they are being exploited much
like slaves during the years of the plantation system. It is an idea created by Eitzen that seams
overdrawn, but makes significant parallels to that of the plantation system. The National Collegiate
Athletic Association (NCAA) preserves the plantation system, providing the rules that protect the
interests of the individual plantation overseers. The plantations are football and men s basketball
factories within the universities with big time programs. The plantation overseers are college
coaches who receive hard labor from their workers. The workers on the plantation are owned by the
plantation, they produce riches for their masters while receiving a meager amount of return on the
profits of the plantation. Being exploited for their physical abilities is not the only injustice
hindering these athletes. They are controlled, managed, and dominated by their superiors. They are
restricted in their rights to freedom, and in some cases mistreated physically and mentally (Eitzen).
Many people who watch and are directly affiliated with college sports would be opposed

Abstract
Over many years there has been great debate about whether rehabilitation reduces the rate of
recidivism in criminal offenders. There has been great controversy over whether anything works
to reduce recidivism and great hope that rehabilitation would offer a reduction in those rates. In
this paper I will introduce information and views on the reality of whether rehabilitation does
indeed reduce recidivism. Proposed is a quasi experiment, using a group of offenders that received

Cullen amp; Gendreau (2000). Cullen and Gendreau (2000). give us some history on the restorative
incarceration. The original theory of restorative justice was based on simple human behavior
regulated by incentive instead of punishment, which instituted the concept of parole as a means of
reward for a prisoner for rehabilitation. Further studies in criminology proved that this idea was too
simplistic and married it to the positivist theory of criminology and instituted individual assessment
and treatment for each prisoner based on their specific needs for reformation.
As Rothman (1980) and many others have pointed out, this ideal system was never implemented as
intended. Although the contours of the correctional system changed the juvenile court,
indeterminate sentencing, probation, parole, and discretion became integral features of this system
the resources and knowledge needed to provide effective treatment to offenders were in short
supply. Cullen and Gendreau (2000).
Cullen and Gendreau compare and contrast the many studies on this subject, the meta analyses
conclusions, their strengths, weaknesses, inconsistencies, and the trends that follow the studies of
the time. They offer their insight on effective corrections and individualizing treatments based on
predictors for crime and behavioral knowledge, as well as conclude that recidivism is reduced by
rehabilitation.

Identity Of American Identity
The colors of red, white, and blue reflect the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of
happiness established over two centuries ago by the nation s forebearers. Being American is about
anticipating change and being provided with the environment to dream. Americans have dreamed
of a more equal union, where Women obtain the right to vote and African Americans are social
equals. The country s images of Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller inspire the American
dream, where individuals are not satisfied with their socioeconomic standing and have the
opportunity to progress. Furthermore, only a minor portion of the United Statespopulation is of

For instance, Mai Goda, from Still Me Inside, punctuates her experience with assumptions when
she makes the decision to dye her hair a bright red. Ultimately, she describes instances where she
felt intimidated and was classified as part of another group by her appearance. When she arrived
late for school, the vice principal mistook her for a punk delinquent. Also, at her flute recital,
parents appeared surprised when the beautiful music was coming from the girl with the stark

individual or group is a collection of both self perception, interests, and social depiction.
The United States was built upon a foundation of acceptance and diversity. Although the

involves both your body and mind. The first step you must do is go see a doctor. It is very
important that one must schedule an appointment because your doctor will provide you resources
for prenatal care. Prenatal care involves taking good measures to make sure the baby and the

Babies completely depend on the nutrient of the mother. Mothers need to be aware of the food, and
make sure that they are eating foods that has the nutrients the baby needs. Prenatal malnutrition can
cause serious damage to the central nervous system (Berk, 113) Researchers agree that the most
crucial time for nutrients is the third trimester. This is when the baby s brain increases the most.
Food is not just about the size, but is also about the amount of minerals and vitamins the food
contains.
When monitoring your food, make sure you acknowledge the foods to avoid during pregnancy.
When pregnant, avoid all type of alcohol and smoking. Alcohol has serous effect of the
development of the baby. The more alcohol a woman consumes during pregnancy, the poorer the
child s motor coordination, information processing, and intelligence and achievement test during
school years becomes (Berk, 2012, pg. 109). Other things to avoid while pregnant are raw meat,
shark, swordfish or marlin and unpasteurized dairy. (http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy and

fishes because it has high mercury, which can harm the unborn baby s brain. It is also best to avoid

Response To Lee Lewis Play Oedipus
To Lee Lewis, the most important aspect of theatre is the message the writers are trying to put
across to the audience. In order for that message to be heard, there can t be any sense of the
director present, nor the actors behind the characters, as she quotes If the directors hand is to
visible in a work then that s a failure to me (AustralianPlays.org 2014). This message from the
writers is so powerful because it conveys present issues and thoughts, which is why she is so
interested in directing new work . You can t take the writing of someone else and use it as your

In an interview with Belvoir Street Theatre in 2012 he quotes; I found a deep sense of place (at

him explore the depths of theatre as an art form. He is only interested in working on great plays
with great actors as he states in the same interview. Barry Kosky is a very influential director
who is interested in adapting to the way he views a play, in 2000 at the National Circus
Conference at the Powerhouse, he stated I m not interested in the likes and dislikes of the
audience. I m interested in my likes and dislikes...I need an audience, but I need an audience that
want to come on my ride, not the other way around. I think a lot of people in this country are led
by the notion that the audience is somehow indicative of the work that should be done. For
Kosky especially, the directorial strategies are very present and can sometimes change the story
from the way the writers intended. He is very present within his works but that is his choice, it is
not a mistake, instead of using the actors as characters he tends to use them as props, and instead
of using the writers to produce scripts, he uses the scripts as more

idea in a particular way? Anne Dillard uses diction and juxtaposition in both Living like Weasels
and Sojourner to establishes her distaste towards the actions and cognition of the human race.
Personification of the inhabitants in nature is done in order to prompt changes on people s
opinion on the universally accepted biotic hierarchy. Humans believe themselves to be the most
advanced creature on earth and rebuff any teaching by the natives. Dillard portrays her
disagreement with such notion by using story telling techniques to enchant and then preach the
lessons she herself learns from nature. In Living like Weasels Dillard tells a tale of an eagle
who [gutted a] living weasel with his talons [and bended] his beak [to clean] the beautiful
airborne bones (66). The cruel but alluring diction is done to illustrate Dillard s fascination with
the weasel s willingness to cease from existence because of their commitment to its choices and
lifestyle. The weasel does not accept its gruesome fate to be a meal to the eagle without
attempting to turn the tables. It is completely unsurprising to hear how only 6 percent of the
population follows the routes they desire (Haltiwanger, 1). Most of humanity crumbles under
obstacles and instead attempts to embark on easier tasks. Dillard herself is guilty of such an act
and she reveals her mistake when she says I missed my chance . (69) The tone throughout her
personal note sends out feelings of regret which enforces a connection

Climate change is the increase in temperature of the Earth and its atmosphere. This has a huge
effect on the world including Canadian ecosystem. Humans have added to this effect due to their
irresponsible use of fossil fuels and polluting the environment increasing the amount of green house
gases in the atmosphere. One of the results of climatechange is ocean acidification, this occurs
from the ocean absorbing the carbon from the atmosphere reacting with the water and forming
carbonic acid. There are many different experiments done by multiple scientist exploring the effect
that ocean acidification has on the environment and the species that live in it, specifically the

Creating An Information Management System
Management Summary Summary of requirements Club IT recognizes the pitfalls of their
antiquated system. Creating an information management system will advance their business
protocols and provide a cohesiveness between inventory control, wait staff monitoring, and data

customers. Inventory control is a primary concern to prevent overstock and out of stock dilemmas.
Overstocking products effects the budget negatively. Out of stock products essentially effects
revenue negatively and hinders customer satisfactions. A business intelligence model that
encompasses database functionality and a point of sale (POS) system features would remedy
many of the inventory control downfalls. The automation provided by an information
management system would allow ?critical? products to be automatically ordered when a
designated remaining stock percentage is reached. For non critical products, a notification would
be sent to the owners to determine if the product should be ordered now or at a later date. Sale
figure reports from the POS system would provide valuable information on sale quotas for all
products. Critical product ordering will be fully automated with confirmation supplied to owners
after product is ordered from vendor. Non critical products simply need the owner?s approval for
the automation process to complete the order. A POS system, combined with an accounting and

This statement is very true. What it is basically saying is that Americans, not all of them, but a
lot of them, do not take the time to really think about their voting decisions. This is turn makes
Whitaker s and Baxter s job so much easier. Since Americans do not really take the time to
inform or educate themselves in the person they are voting for, their campaign ads do not have
to be all that clever or complex. This is still true today. A lot of people just vote for their party,
regardless of the candidate that is chosen to represent their party. Rarely do people take a look at
the person, rather than the party. One candidate could be more qualified to be president, but just
because they do not represent the same party as the voter, people will not vote for them. The
general public needs to educate themselves more before they vote. Too many people just go with
their first instinct, and do not think about the choice that they are about to make. Surface level
knowledge is not enough, especially in elections that could have a big impact on the country. People
just need to think and research a little bit more on their own, so they can make a more informed and

Then, I will explain that rulers should appeal to Kant s categorical imperative when making

of why rulersappeal to categorical imperativewhen making foreign policy, so I have two reasons for

In order to explain the first reason of why rulers should appeal to categorical imperative when
making foreign policy decisions, we can think about the growing trade between the states. States
become more interdependent when trades among various states expand. Interdependence is not
only important economically but also politically because all economic or business activity
depends on political positions of the states. When states trade between each other, they become
mutually dependent on each other s political advantages. Also, world markets are influenced by
politics and state s power in the world markets depends on its foreign policy. So, states should
establish good relations with other states. For this reason, when making foreign policy decisions,
ruler should appeal to categorical imperative. Firstly, rulers actions must be universally valid. If
state s foreign decisions are internally valid, then state cannot benefit from this politically and
economically. For example, if the state decide to change the price of its export goods up without
approval of other states, then states could not sell its goods whose price increase, because other
states want to buy the same goods from another country whose price is cheaper. Second point is
that if state s intention is bad and this kind of intention is understood by other states, this state is
reproached by other states, which have a relation with this state. As a result of

Database Backup and Disaster Recovery for ABC Company
A backup and recovery plan is necessary for the databases that the ABC Company uses for its
business needs. In the event of a natural disaster, human error, hardware failure, or any other
corruption or loss of data, backup and recovery measures will mean the difference between an
inconvenience and a catastrophic loss of company data. The following report addresses various
options for backupand recovery, and proposes what measures ABC Inc should adopt for its SQL
Server 2012 servers.
Database Backup SQL Server 2012 supports three scopes of backup and an additional special
purpose backup type. The first of the three backup types is whole database which as its name
implies, backs up the entire database. A partial database backup backs up read/write filegroups
and, possibly, one or more read only files or filegroups according to Microsoft (n.d.). File or
filegroup backups are conducted on singe file or filegroups. Finally, a copy only backup is an
out of schedule backup that is initiated for a special purpose, and does not affect the normal
cycle of backups. When a backup is conducted, it can be a full backup or a differential backup. A
full backup will copy the entire database, while a differential backup will backup only the
changes that have been made since the last backup was conducted. Whole, partial, and file
/filegroup backups all can be full or differential backups. A copy only backup can only be a full
backup because it does not change the transaction log, and

The Culture Of An Organization
The culture of an organization is like a river. It can be fluid, strong and consistent, serving as
lubricant while guiding its members in the right direction. In contrast a river can become stale and
toxic, silently killing those who drink at its shore.1
Ron Kaufman
Tyco International was nearly ruined because of the unethical corporate culture Kozlowski was
implementing. According to a study on leadership and organizational culture by T. Gilberson et al.,
the values within the organization can be linked to the personality characteristics of the CEO. It is
upper management that is believed to be the primary influence on the creation and development of
organizational culture.2
Kozlowski put policies in place to misappropriate the funds of the company, these policies directly
violated company culture. The other directors began to follow these policies even thought they
knew it went against company policy. Why? According to social cognitive theory, individuals are
proactively involved in their own development; What people think, believe, and feel affects how
they behave . 4 If we believe this statement to be true than why were the subordinates at Tyco
influenced by the leaders to engage in unethical corporate culture. We could consider D. Lease s
explanation that control through culture is so powerful that once these values are internalized; they
become part of the individual s values, and the individual follows organizational values without

Children Of A Child Protection Process Essay
There are a number of different organisations that may be involved when a young person or child
has been abused or harmed. This includes health visitors, GP s, the police, schools, the NSPCC,
psychologists, school nurses and probation workers.
Health visitors have a vital role in protecting children from harm and abuse because they are one
of the first to recognise children who are likely to be abused or neglected. They play a big part
in all stages of a child protection process including case reviews. They support and guide parents
of young children, provide developmental checks on children under the age of five, have contact
with many multi agencies and they support the work of the Local Safeguarding Children s Board
(LSCB). They are trained to a high level to recognise any risks that the child might be in and also
they will visit the children at home. They are in a position to gather information from very early on
and therefore this enables them to start the process quite quickly when any signs or concerns of
abuse or neglect are detected. The health visitor will need to have ongoing contact with the family
if abuse or neglect is suspected. Health visitors should use their own judgement on when to share
information with other agencies.
The role of a General Practitioner is to maintain their skills in recognising if a child is being abused

Parental Divorce Article Analysis
Lawton, L. E., Bures, R. (2001). Parental Divorce and the Switching of Religious Identity. Journal
For The Scientific Study Of Religion, 40(1), 99. Purpose: This article examines the impact of
parental divorce on the likelihood that an individual has changed their religious identity. Methods:
We use the nationally representative 1987 National Survey of Families and Households (NSFH).
This data set contains information on 13,017 respondents, including information on their current
and childhood religious affiliation and family structure. Our sample consists of the 11,372
respondents who reported that they were raised as either Catholics or as mainline Protestants (see
Mueller 1971). Of this sample, 3,461 respondents were raised as Catholics and 7, 911 were raised as
Protestants. Among Protestants, we further distinguish between liberal and moderate Protestants
(n=4,129) and conservative Protestants (n=3,782). We exclude Mormons and Jehovah s Witnesses
because these two groups do not fit into the Protestant denomination structure as outlined by
Mueller. For the analysis of switching versus staying, we use logistic regression. The dependent
variable in this analysis is dichotomous, so logistic... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since joining another religious group requires the formation and maintenance of new social ties, it
is consistent that women are more likely to switch to another denomination. Divorce increases the
likelihood of apostasy, leading to an increased likelihood of switching from Catholic to None,
moderate Protestant to None, and conservative Protestant to None (although the latter is not
significant). Apparently, for some divorced adults, the ties to religious ideology and community
become so frayed that divorce may overwhelm the need or desire to remain in the

Violation Of Nonverbal Communication Violations
This week I decided the behavior I d choose to violate would be physical appearance and space. I
decided on violating these specifically because I felt like these specific nonverbal
communication behaviors would generate the most amounts of different reactions from those
around me. I also took this as a bit of a challenge for myself as I see myself as someone who is very
aware of my physical appearance at all times as well as respectful with it comes to others
personal space, so breaking two of my own nonverbal behavior rules would be something
different and out of character for me. My first violation was Tuesday morning, I work in the
biology department at FIU, so I am always expected to look at least business casual and have
your hair nicely done, which usually I ironed mine. This particular day I walked into work
wearing sweatpants, a baggy T shirt, and some old gym shoes I ve owned for a few years that
were filthy and worn out, my hair was even in its natural afro like curly mess. Giving a massage
that I did not care nor did I want to be there, my supervisor got the message loud and clear. Since
I was not dressed correctly I was told to put on a giant lab coat to cover up my clothing. When
my coworker showed up he thought I looked comfortable and didn t care whether I was dressed
in business casual or not! He wasn t the only one who didn t have a problem with my outfit; the
other teaching assistants (TA s) kept telling me how envious they were of my very casual and

Essay about iran contra scandal
Iran Contra Scandal
The Cold War peaked the interest of the entire globe. Each threat, policy and action that took place
had ramifications far more reaching then ever imaginable. The world sat on edge because it feared
its own destruction, after the introduction of nuclear warfare at the close of World War II, another
World War could result in the Earth s demise. This fear ran through the hearts and minds of citizens
of both the United States and the Soviet Union, but it is the citizens elsewhere that had to pay the
consequences for these fears. The race to become the premier superpower of the world between
the U.S. and U.S.S.R. did not always remain as subsided as many like to believe. Many regions of
the world were held accountable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To understand the Iran contra Affair it is necessary to understand American Iranian relations leading
up to the scandal. Since the origin of both major powers, Iran had managed to to maintain its
independence as a nation state by playing the two superpowers against one another. And it was
when the two rivals came to an understanding that, Iranian leaders saw their country s
independence and identity in serious jeopardy. [2] The turning point in the relationship between
the Iran and the United States began after [the United States] part in the overthrow of
Muhammad Musadiq in 1953, the United States found itself the object of growing Iranian
criticism. [3] Moderate, nationalistic opposition forces and radical leftist began to refer to the
United States as an imperialistic, oppressive external force, all as Shi i religious leaders begun
condemning America and their policies. Iranians of all political persuasions increasingly formed a
negative image of the United States. [4] America exposed itself as no longer an external liberating
force that was held responsible for protecting Iran from Great Britain and the Soviet Union, and
instead, became the exploiter.

The Medici Influence and the Italian Renaissance Essay
A post Middle Age Italy was afflicted by medieval wars and the bubonic plague. A change was
needed to restore the vision of what Italy could become. This change was found within one
family: the Medici s, who helped to return the glory and influence to Florence. The Medici s saw
the value in contributing to the advancement of the greatest minds of the period. This was evident
in their patronage of leading Artists such as Michelangelo and of renowned Teachers such as
Galileo. The sphere of influence the Medici s enjoyed also extended to the political arena, which
happened to be heavily influenced by the Catholic Church at the time. The Medici s were able to
capitalize on the power of the Church and through this influence and the use of... Show more

(Medici) In the Florentine republic, where economic power was almost synonymous with
political power, achieving this financial feat made way for social distinction. (The Medici) With
Giovanni s death in 1429, there were those who tried to capitalize on the opportunity to displace
the Medici family from its place in the social and political landscape of the time. One such
opportunity was taken with the help of a wealthy rival, the Albizzi family, who put in motion a
plot to have Giovanni s son, Cosimo de Medici, arrested on accusations of treason and banished
to Venice. This did not happen without consequences. With Cosimo s exile he took with him a
large source of Florentine capital, the Medici Bank. The Pope intervened and restored the
Medici s to power. Thus began Cosimo s restoration of Florentine pride and the support of great
artists that many admire today. An example of the Medici support to artists involves The Dome of
Santa Maria del Fiore. The dome of the chapel was built so large that no architect knew how to
complete the rooftop structure and was a humiliating point in Florentine history. A contest to see
who could develop a solution to complete the dome was won by a Florentine engineer named
Brunelleschi, who felt he had found the solution. With the successful completion of the chapel,
support from Cosimo de Medici and the holy consecration performed by the Pope, a great structure
was once again a source of pride to the Florentines and the

The Effects Of Drinking Water On The Water
Have you ever wondered if our drinking water is actually safe to drink? The topic of safe drinking
water according to my research isn t a topic that it s given that much attention even though there
have been events and statistics that have impacted our drinking water. There have been important
events such as the chemical spill in Charleston, West Virginia and the ash sludge in Kingston
Tennessee in 2008, these kind of events even though they have happen a few years ago still have
an impact on our drinking watertoday. Lauren Russell is an important person because she stated
that climate change is another factor that can affect our drinking water because it can impact the
quality of the water since climate change is a main world problem it affects everyone s drinking
water. Another big factor of drinking water is what kind of chemicals are in our water that
makes it safe for us to drink? I feel like people and I should be informed of the risks that human
and natural disasters can do to our sites that we get our drinking water from. And we should also
be inform if the chemicals that they put in our drinking water are one hundred percent safe. The
reason why I chose this topic is because water is a necessity for every human so if we all get
informed about this topic we can enforce better laws that can ensure us the best water quality for us
to drink.
People should know the background events of human and natural disasters that have affected our
drinking water and even if it

Bowen Family Systems Theory Summary
Bowen s Family Systems Theory Bowen s Family Systems Theory Overview This adaptation of
systems theory was coined by Dr. Murray Bowen and is referred to as Bowen s Family Systems
Theory. According to Murdock (2013), this particular adaptation of systems theory is considered
one of the most reputable and well constructed compared to that of its counterparts. The author
states that family systems theories can be utilized with individuals as well as with specific
relationships within the family unit, however the majority of therapy is done with individual
clients utilizing the context of the family unit. According to Murdock (2013), it is the family

K. Guerin and P.J. Guerin claimed that, an individual with a strong sense of self is clear about
where they end and where the others begin. They are able to distinguish thought from feeling, and
their behavior is guided by their own principles and cognitions rather than emotional factors (as
cited in Murdock, 2013, p. 442). An individual who is highly differentiated is emotionally
autonomous and is able to engage in a healthy, intimate relationship while preserving the secure
sense of self. Alternatively, a person who is exhibiting signs such as reactivity, rigidity and
responses based on emotion rather than cognition, are thought to be low on the spectrum of
differentiation and are likely to endure acute anxiety (Murdock, 2013, p. 443). According to
Murdock (2013), when an individuals emotions and thoughts are enmeshed and this lack of
differentiation causes mal adaptive behaviors, the individual is considered to have a fused sense of
self. A fused individual can also be identified as a low differentiated individual. According to
Murdock (2013), Bowen believes that sibling position and birth order within a family system s
present and past three generations is imperative to analyze in order to recognize patterns of
differentiation and fusion within a family s system. Additionally, the author states that Bowen
believes that triangulation is, the basic

Quotes From Birmingham Jail Quote Analysis
Kindness is the Key ...it is wrong to use immoral means to attain moral ends , what does this
quote mean? Also, what does the quote it is just as wrong, or perhaps even more so, to use moral
means to preserve immoral ends mean? Martin Luther King Jr, a leader of the African American
Civil Rights Movement, interpreted his own quote as: violent, or immoral, protest is not the way
to reach the goal of desegregation. He also described moral means to keep immoral ends as the
policeofficers who have exercised a degree of discipline while handling the protesters, but they are
still fighting for the wrong cause: segregation. Although MLK s interpretation of his own quote was
accurate for the problems occurring during that time, today, world issues have changed, and his
quote can be interpreted differently.
An immoral group fighting for moral ends could include the Black Lives Matter movement. This
activist group uses violence to achieve equality. The activists get caught up in politics and media

The Civil Rights Movement started because the white man believed to be better than the black
man; if everyone had accepted one another for who they are, a person, and disregarded their skin

The Black Lives Matter movement could have been a success if kindness and nonviolence was
present. Their hatred only caused more disputes. Political corruption would cease to exist if
politicians understood selflessness, or made decisions to positively impact the nation, not
themselves. In conclusion, we all have stories, ideas, and love to share. If everyone chose kindness
as their upmost important trait, there would never be hatred to the degree of racism and
segregation again. There would only be moral societies accomplishing moral

The Great Recession
The Great Recession of 2008 was the biggest global financial crisis that the world witnessed after
the Great Depression of the 1930s. Collapsing markets, failure of banks and drastic decrease in
international trade were just some key characteristics of the great recession. It became clear after
the collapse of the capitalist ideology enforced by United Statesthat this was the end of America
centred age of globalization (Lecture 2). This paper will compare and contrast the key
characteristics of the great recession and the great depression. It will also emphasize that the root
causes of the financial collapse of 2008 were first, unfavourable macroeconomic factors such as

Baldwin in his book, The Great Trade Collapse , explains that the financial collapse was very
sudden and synchronized which increased its severity. The trade collapse in 2008 was not as
severe as the Great Depression, however, the fall was very quick as it took 9 months for trade to
fall at the same level which took 24 months in 1930s (Baldwin, Pg. 1). The gradual trade collapse
was an initial sign that a severe financial crisis is about to come as countries that were dependent
on commodity exports (oil and minerals) were hit the most which includes Canada as well.
Additionally, uncertainty about the future spread globally and as a result people began to delay
their unnecessary expenses. With consumption rate decreasing globally, imports and exports were
adversely affected as well resulting into decreasing GDP in US, European Union and Japan
(Baldwin, 2009). It can be concluded from the stated facts that the nature of the Great Recession
was widespread primarily due to the internationalization of trade. Capitalism, with its main concept
of globalization had made the great recession a global phenomenon since after the triumph of
United States in Cold War, capitalism was adopted as the new world order. The expansion of
MNCs and global supply chains which were created to reduce operational costs meant that
disruption in one country of operation would likely cause problems with associated subsidiaries in
other countries. Thus, the connectedness of the financial markets and trade contributed in creating
a synchronized and severe recession

that results in to the violation of human rights. The balance of the power can be implemented when

Marjane Satrapi s The Complete Persepolis
Upon completing the first part of The Complete Persepolis, I have found myself to be enlightened
to the significant historical movement of the Islamic Revolution. This period of history, portrayed
by an engrossing storyline and modern graphic illustrations of Marjane Satrapi s childhood,
introduced me to many diverse aspects of Iranian lifestyle that wouldn t have been depicted through
biographies or informational articles. As I delved further into the book, I became increasingly
invested in Marjane s family and their views opposing the revolution, along with their efforts to

Christians, hold some views that are rather narrow minded. Although they tend to authorize me to

[1] It is an island located between the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific, just south of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. At 2,941,299 square miles, Australia is the sixth largest country in the world and only about 150,000 square miles (about the size of Montana) smaller than the continental United States. Its interior land is a flat and sparsely populated desert, but as you move outward the climate changes to grassland, subtropical, tropical, and even temperate in the southeastern region. The Northern Territory had the smallest growth, increasing by 33,600 people, while Tasmania and South Australia had the slowest growth (both 8.4%). [6] A key contributor to change in the distribution of Australia s population is internal migration. During 2009 2010, 331,400 people moved from one state or territory to another. This is an 8% drop from the same period one year earlier (359,900). Queensland has recorded positive net interstate migration for more than 30 years; in contrast, New South Wales has had net losses every year since 1978. However, any losses due to net interstate migration in 2009 were offset by growth due to natural increase (births minus deaths) and net overseas migration. • 6. A Golden Age Student Name Professor Name Subject Date A Golden Age Less than 30 years after the war of Independence, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and West Pakistan (now Pakistan) had grown so further apart, even from the obvious geographical disconnect, that the liberation war of 1971 could be termed as inevitable. For some it was the war of liberation but for many who lost their friends, neighbors and other loved ones, it was a time of selfish loss. Bengal s growing need for an identity, equal and ethnic acceptance and a pride in their mother language eventually led to many conflicts both emotional and political. Having been recently independent from British India, the Two Nation Theory was engraved in everyone s minds. But the geographical division of East and West Pakistan was much more than distance; it was felt as a conspiracy for West Pakistan to govern the entire country (Bose, 1).The war was considered an unnecessary act by some as autonomy was the desired result and not a new country. However as the story of the lives of civilians unfold the distrust and unfairness of the situation in the country is seen to be evident. Perhaps it was this feeling of unequal representation and a desire for provincial autonomy that led to an ever present sense of estrangement. That time was considered the golden age of Bengal and the characters are faced with that piece of history that eventually helped change the map of the world. It operates a tightly connected order management system that coordinates orders, raw materials, and inventory across all 14 factories. What type of WAN architecture and WAN service would you recommend? Why? Recommendations: When designing a WAN, numerous factors must be considered. When designing and implementing wide area networks (WANs) that integrate voice, video,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So therefore, based off the information provided, I would recommend a packet switched architecture, or more specifically a Frame relay with a CIR 45 Mbps WAN service. Frame Relay is packet switched data link layer protocol that handles multiple virtual circuits using High Level Data Link Control (HDLC) encapsulation between connected devices. (Cisco, 2005) In many cases, Frame Relay is more efficient than X.25 and generally less expensive than ATM. Also the data provided does not suggest that MegaCorp specifically has needs for the extensive QoS information that ATM provides that would enable the setting of very precise priorities among different types of transmissions such as high priority for voice and video and lower priority for email. If the company were a consulting firm with a high propensity for needs on bandwidth because of video conferencing or high bandwidth requiring applications then perhaps ATM architecture with a T1 or T3 WAN service might be more suitable. Even though MegaCorp is a large manufacturing firm recommending Ethernet services might prove to be too expensive of a proposal as well and thus causing us to lose the project. The cost associated to having each factory connected by fiber optic cables to the provider s city wide MAN backbone plus the cost of the Ethernet switch might not be justified by the company s bandwidth needs. • 12. A Trip On A Family Vacation At California, Disneyland, The... I ve been on a family vacation for ten days that included a road trip to California, Disneyland, the beach, and a family reunion camping trip. It was a pretty ambitious trip and has provided an interesting reflection on budgeting budgeting time, budgeting money, and budgeting food. I read an article recently that said the biggest reason people are late is that they are too optimistic. I laughed out loud when I read that. I so often optimistically try to fit in one more thing before I leave and then end up leaving late or I get too optimistic about there not being any traffic and then I am shocked when I hit traffic and arrive late. Truly budgeting time in a way that makes me not late means budgeting for contingencies, allowing room for things to go wrong, and knowing everything will not go as planned, but still being able to arrive on time. I have to put extra time into my time budget, or I run out of time too soon. I think the same is true for food and money too. I have to plan for contingencies, know everything will not go as planned, and add in extra room when I can. I took money expert Dave Ramsey s Financial Peace University class just before I left on vacation and so made an effort to budget my vacation money the way he recommends, using envelopes for each category. I separated our travel food budget into 10 envelopes, one for each day of the trip, and put cash into each envelope to use on food each day. What a challenge that has been! There have been meals where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most of the families that are in need of economic support undergo a scrutinized agenda, which most of the time, question by question undresses recipients by stripping their dignity. Same program has been implemented to reach families located in New York and California. The Virginia government contracted a private agency to prepare mailing notices and perform phone calls to instruct qualified candidates to use EITC benefits. There must be some sort of incentive for them to continually work so hard. The United States Army has been the underdogs of the military branch. The United States Army is probably the hardest working branch of the military, but also the least sought after. To the general public they are not considered to be at the top of the spectrum amongst the other branches of military. The government has helped in creating a bias within the branches of military by making the standards to get into the military so low compared to some of the other branches. The Army should be considered the People s Army. There is a pivotal point in life where as a man must enroll in the selective service. That is a really scary point in life because it seems like there is a chance to be selected in the military by draft. There is also entrance in the military by choice. There is a percentage of Americans that willingly enter into the military coming straight out of high school. Those Americans that willingly want to join the military are required to take a test called the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB as it is most commonly called. Of the many functions of proteins, catalysis is by far the most vital. When catalysis is not present, most reactions in the biological systems take place very slowly to produce at an adequate pace for metabolising organism. The catalysts that take this role are called enzymes. Enzymes are the most efficient catalysts; they can enhance rate of reaction by up to 1020 over uncatalysed reactions. (Campbell et al, 2012). The solution in the conical flask became darker (yellow) in time this is because the substrate, p nitrophenyl phosphate was catalysed by acid phosphatase, releasing Nitrophenolate anion. It was the Nitrophenolate anion giving off the yellow colour; the presence of this feature increases the absorbance rate. The addition of sodium hydroxide distorted the shape of the enzyme making it no longer effective in its function. Anne Dillard uses diction and juxtaposition in both Living like Weasels and Sojourner to establishes her distaste towards the actions and cognition of the human race. Humans believe themselves to be the most advanced creature on earth and rebuff any teaching by the natives. The first major event that clearly demonstrates this occurred in the 1934 election for governor of California. Their influence of that particular electionled to politics becoming essentially, the money making industry that it is today. Lepore utilizes several quotes in her examination. This statement is very true. What it is basically saying is that Americans, not all of them, but a lot of them, do not take the time to really think about their voting decisions. This is turn makes Whitaker s and Baxter s job so much easier. Since Americans do not really take the time to inform or educate themselves in the person they are voting for, their campaign ads do not have to be all that clever or complex. This is still true today. A lot of people just vote for their party, regardless of the candidate that is chosen to represent their party. Rarely do people take a look at the person, rather than the party. One candidate could be more qualified to be president, but just because they do not represent the same party as the voter, people will not vote for them. The general public needs to educate themselves more before they vote. Too many people just go with their first instinct, and do not think about the choice that they are about to make. Surface level knowledge is not enough, especially in elections that could have a big impact on the country. People just need to think and research a little bit more on their own, so they can make a more informed and well thought out decision, without being influenced by advertisements or other ... This essay presents Kant s project of categorical imperative. Then, I will explain that rulers should appeal to Kant s categorical imperative when making foreign policy decision. In order to support my point of view, I will give importance to the reasons of why rulersappeal to categorical imperativewhen making foreign policy, so I have two reasons for this. One of them is that states depend on each other in economically and politically. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to explain the first reason of why rulers should appeal to categorical imperative when making foreign policy decisions, we can think about the growing trade between the states. States become more interdependent when trades among various states expand. Interdependence is not only important economically but also politically because all economic or business activity depends on political positions of the states. When states trade between each other, they become mutually dependent on each other s political advantages. Also, world markets are influenced by politics and state s power in the world markets depends on its foreign policy. So, states should establish good relations with other states. For this reason, when making foreign policy decisions, ruler should appeal to categorical imperative. Firstly, rulers actions must be universally valid. If state s foreign decisions are internally valid, then state cannot benefit from this politically and economically. For example, if the state decide to change the price of its export goods up without approval of other states, then states could not sell its goods whose price increase, because other states want to buy the same goods from another country whose price is cheaper. Second point is that if state s intention is bad and this kind of intention is understood by other states, this state is reproached by other states, which have a relation with this state. In the event of a natural disaster, human error, hardware failure, or any other corruption or loss of data, backup and recovery measures will mean the difference between an inconvenience and a catastrophic loss of company data. The following report addresses various options for backupand recovery, and proposes what measures ABC Inc should adopt for its SQL Server 2012 servers. Database Backup SQL Server 2012 supports three scopes of backup and an additional special purpose backup type. The first of the three backup types is whole database which as its name implies, backs up the entire database. A partial database backup backs up read/write filegroups and, possibly, one or more read only files or filegroups according to Microsoft (n.d.). File or filegroup backups are conducted on singe file or filegroups. Finally, a copy only backup is an out of schedule backup that is initiated for a special purpose, and does not affect the normal cycle of backups. When a backup is conducted, it can be a full backup or a differential backup. A full backup will copy the entire database, while a differential backup will backup only the changes that have been made since the last backup was conducted. Whole, partial, and file /filegroup backups all can be full or differential backups. A copy only backup can only be a full backup because it does not change the transaction log, and ... The trade collapse in 2008 was not as severe as the Great Depression, however, the fall was very quick as it took 9 months for trade to fall at the same level which took 24 months in 1930s (Baldwin, Pg. 1). The gradual trade collapse was an initial sign that a severe financial crisis is about to come as countries that were dependent on commodity exports (oil and minerals) were hit the most which includes Canada as well. Additionally, uncertainty about the future spread globally and as a result people began to delay their unnecessary expenses. With consumption rate decreasing globally, imports and exports were adversely affected as well resulting into decreasing GDP in US, European Union and Japan (Baldwin, 2009). It can be concluded from the stated facts that the nature of the Great Recession was widespread primarily due to the internationalization of trade. Capitalism, with its main concept of globalization had made the great recession a global phenomenon since after the triumph of United States in Cold War, capitalism was adopted as the new world order.
