Dance was introduced by king Louis, he came up with the idea of dance at a
wedding where one of the very first dances the broccoli dance was invented, and by
the the 1700s the most popular dance was ballet. Dance originated 2500 years from
today, from people that believed in a magic ritual which broke the spell which
apparently on a bewitched king. Many contemporary dances can go back to historical,
traditional, ceremonial, and even ethnic dances.
Jazz:
Jazz was created in the early 20th century in New Orleans, but the main roots of jazz
originate from the traditions of Africa and Europe. Some people even say that
African and European music is a union of jazz. Jazz is known to have rhythm and
feel. The costumes used in jazz for jazz dance performers prefer to wear a leotard
and tights, the dancers prefer tight clothes because they tend to help with
techniques. Most of the time if people aren t comfortable with wearing tight
clothes they just wear jazz pants which are very similar to sweatpants except that
they are a little bit tighter, and jazz pants come in a variety of different sizes so

Eisenstein and Vertov are two filmmakers/theorists that made films to illustrate and
emphasize their film theories. One of Eisenstein s theories is that film should have a
dialectic approach to create conflict. Furthermore, he states that conflict will spark
active thinking in the spectator s mind. Another theory from Eisenstein is the
methods of montage. There are five methods, but the one he highlights the most is the
intellectual montage, which helps create an idea through juxtaposition to make the
audience think about the film and social issues. In comparison, one of Vertov theories
states that film is like a medium of movement. Furthermore, he explains the
movement is required to create montage and bring shots together in harmony. Another

While in his confinement, he is visited by the emperor who likes Gulliver. Gulliver
learns there language and the customs of the people of Lilliput. In this book Swift, by
describing the ludicrous system that Lilliput s government fashions in, is satirizing
the English system of governing. He uses parallels that seem absurd at first glance but
make more senses when looked at carefully.
When Gulliver reaches the land of Brobdinag, he finds himself in the exact
opposite situation that he was in when in Lilliput. In Brobdinag, it is Gulliver who
is the tiny person, and the inhabitants of that land who appear to be giants. Gulliver
expects these giants to be monsters , but soon finds that they are a peaceful race of
people, who live in a sort of peace loving land. Swift was playing on all people s fear
of being frightened by those who appear different looking or more powerful.
In recounting third journey, Gulliver visits the land of Laputa. The stories that are
contained within are a satire on specific figures and policies of the British

A clear, colorless liquid was separated using fractional distillation. The identity of
this unknown liquid was found by the characteristic properties of flammability,
density, sugar solubility, boiling point, and odor. The liquid ended up being
flammable, and the density was below the average 0.79 g/cm3. Instead, we found
0.69 g/cm3. For the sugar solubility, it was found to be insoluble. The boiling was
found to be higher than the average is 57C. We found the boiling point to be 66C.
Lastly, the odor was found to be like nail polish remover, which is similar to or
known as Acetone. Therefore, our first liquid was found to be Acetone.

Othello, the Moor of Venice The story of Othello, the Moor of Venice was written
by William Shakespeare. Shakespeare got the idea of Othello from a writer by the
name of Giraldi Cinthio. The original story, was entitled, Of Unfaithfulness of
Husbands and Wives. In the original story Disdemona was beaten to death with a
stocking full of sand, which is quite a bit different from Shakespeare s Othello,

Iago is eager to get back to Othello and tell him what Roderigo has done, leaving out
the part where he tells Roderigo what is going on. Brabantio finds Othello and
accuses him of stealing his daughter and demands he be thrown in prison. Othello
explains to Brabantio that he has more urgent matters to attend at the moment, so
prison will have to wait. The Duke and senators are waiting for Othello to meet
with them on war matters. Brabantio thinks this is an excellent opportunity to
accuse Othello of his crimes. What Brabantio does not expect is for Desdemona to
be there waiting on Othello so she can go off to war with him. She confesses to her
father and the Duke that she is in fact in love with the Moor. Brabantio was in
shock and could not believe what his daughter was doing to him. The Duke does
allow her to go, but she must be accompanied by Iago because Othello has to leave
at once. Iago s second part of the plan is put in motion when he schemes to make
Othello think that Cassio and Desdemona are having an affair. He plans to take out

worse for Othello. She fears he has died in the storm, and Cassio comes in to
confirm her fears that his ship cannot be located. With fear in her mind she goes to
