SYNONYMS

2) Stem – 12cm in diameter.
3) Leaf – Three leaflets, ovate-oblong, cordate.
4) Leaflets – 12.5 –20 cm long, 11 - 17.5cm broad. Thick fur on hind surface.
5) Flower – Blue or brinjal coloured 15 to 45 cm long infloresence.
6) Fruit – 3 to 7 cm. long, furred pool with 3 to 6 seeds in it.
7) Rhizome – 30 to 60 cm. Aromatic. Fresh rhizome emits profuse milk since on
cutting.

SNEHOPAGA KARMA OF VIDARI
▪ Ayurveda explains it as Snehopaga here' sneha' means 'oleation'
and 'upaga' means which is' helpful’ . The drugs helpful for this
purpose are called Snehopaga drugs. In true sense they increase
the action of the oleation
▪ A substance that produces greasiness, fluidity, moisture and
softness in the body is called snehan. These dravyas are guru
snigdha, pichilla, sheetal,manda, mridu, drava, sara, Sukshma, in
guna (properties) .
▪ Predominance in Prithvi + Jala. Help to oleating substances
( Raisins, jeshthamadha )

used as their adjuncts, are called Snehopag, such as vidari,
mrudvika, etc.
▪ Since Vidari has Madhura rasa, guru-snigdha guna, Madhura vipaka
