Course Philosophy - English
 The concept development & topic mastery are being done through an
innovative step-by-step integrated approach wherein each Literature
chapter is integrated with related grammar concepts, writing skill,
listening or speaking skill as well as one MCB (Main Course Book)
  unit.

 This is achieved through a unique module based teaching wherein all the
concepts are interwoven in one module.

 Thus the child is not learning any concept in isolation instead he is able to
relate to the concepts as a unified whole as well as is able to apply the
concepts learnt through rigorous practice sessions.

 End of each module the student is assessed through a comprehensive test
based on the entire content of the module and subsequent constructive
feedback & remedial sessions are taken up based on the test results.

                                                                            Page 14
Course Philosophy - Mathematics
• Research shows that lack of appropriate guidance in Math can
lead to non-clarity of the basics of Maths, and even Math-phobia
  in the senior classes.
• Maths also plays a key role in life and is central to many career
  options later in life.
• At SmartPrep every chapter is introduced through examples,
which illustrate the application of the concept, for its better
understanding, before getting into extensive practice.
• Smartprep’s expert faculty use an ingenious teaching-learning
process complete with interactive slides, activity kit, regular
practice & case specific targeted remedial sessions.
• There is extensive practice and testing. The reports of the tests
are designed to provide insight into topic-wise strengths and
weaknesses, and even analysis by error type and question type.

                                                                      Page 15
Course Philosophy - Science
• Studying science improves our ability to understand the world,
make informed decisions and assess the credibility, reliability, and
validity of what we see and hear.
• SmartPrep uses interactive classes, using animated slides, and
encourages discussion in class around key topics and questions.
Thee methodology hence encourages critical thinking and at the
same time also feeds off curiosity.
• Smartprep faculty members motivate all the students to think
laterally & prod them to be curious enough to question facts.
• Smartprep has an alliance with NIIT Ltd for the smart classes
  used for Science.

                                                                     Page 16
Course Philosophy - Accountancy
• Subject is application based – needs thorough understanding &
  concept clarity
• Hence, Smartprep follows a practical oriented teaching
  methodology
• Content prepared by experienced subject experts with experience in
  research field
• 120 hours divided into 15 modules with two week per module
• Use of multimedia material to make classes interesting as well as to
relate each concept in accountancy to real life applications
• Bi-Weekly tests, remediation, comprehensive two weeks revision
  before terminal exams
• Smartprep has an alliance with NIIT Ltd for the smart class material
  for Accountancy

                                                                    Page 17
Course Philosophy - Economics
• The Smartprep methodology provides a solid grounding in economic
theories and develops skills in economic modelling, quantitative
  analysis and logical reasoning.
• Simplified in-house developed content, providing for regular and
  continuous evaluation, and remediation.
• Integrated learning and practice within the class room. Practice
materials covering subject content, board questions, solved ‘HOTS’
  questions.
• Distinguished faculty facilitates training in microeconomics (the study
of households, firms and market) and macroeconomics (the study of
growth, unemployment, national income accounting and inflation).
• Smart class animated material provided through an alliance with NIIT
  Ltd.

                                                                       Page 18
