Emily Turner produced an indie magazine to improve her photography, photo editing, and design skills. She learned to control lighting and angles in photography to make impactful images. In photo editing, she gained skills in adjusting color, lighting, contrast, and removing backgrounds. She also learned to crop, resize and save images for professional layouts. Turner used Publisher for the magazine structure and Fireworks and Photoshop to edit images, removing backgrounds and adjusting brightness to appeal to audiences. Through the project, she learned about fonts, house styles, and conventional layouts suited to the indie genre.
