PROFILE
An experienced, self-motivated post-graduate Technical/Project
Manager; I have been involved with international business and
project developments within the fuel, power generation, oil,
refining, and chemical industries for over 25 years. I have a B.Sc.
(Hons) in Applied Chemistry (specialising in Chemical Engineering
and Colloid/Surface Science) and a Ph.D. by research in Industrial
Chemistry. I have been resident in Denmark since 2002.
Key areas of my career to date are:
 Technical innovation, involving a hands-on approach to
Research & Development
 Instigation and application of novel technologies to develop new products
 Planning and management of a range of diverse project types, from technical and
operational implementations, consultancy and support to business and contract
developments
 Leadership and management at both company and team level
I have worked for several major companies including Unilever, Shell, BP, PdVSA, as well as
smaller start-up ventures and spin-off business units. I have experience from a wide range
of roles, including that of laboratory/pilot-scale technician and supervisor, operations co-
ordinator, safety and compliance consultant, business development and project manager,
general manager and company director. I have also provided leadership, strategy and
guidance to small teams and groups up to +50 staff.
I have been on numerous overseas assignments ranging from several weeks/months to
longer-term secondments in countries such as Canada, USA, Ireland, Netherlands,
Germany, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Lithuania and Venezuela, as well working
with companies in Central/Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
I have a track record of developing new products through innovation, successful project
implementation, advancing strategic cooperation, delivering against core business goals
and applying value based focus to provide growth. I am a good communicator at all levels,
interacting with technicians and CEOs alike.
In my mid-50s, I am a positive, open-minded person, who is empathic towards others,
and progress objectives through strong collaborations with colleges and customers alike.
Being both adaptive and inventive, I enjoy technical and managerial challenges with an
energetic, systematic and agile approach.
I left my last employer at the end of last year to look for a new position with an aim to
settle in Denmark. I am therefore available to start a new appointment at short notice.
