The study focuses directly on information from autistic individuals rather than others. It uses a quasi-experimental research design with a web-based survey. Potential limitations include a narrow focus, reliance on participants with language and social impairments, and the study being subject to a full review due to participants being cognitively or emotionally compromised.

Overall residents received a mean rating of 69.7% excellent from 1880 surveys. Residents scored highest on paying attention, respect, and care/concern. Scores differed by year of training but not gender or native language. The CAT provides an empirical measure of communication competency and can differentiate resident skills and track changes over time. Frequent antacid use may increase risk of food allergies by interfering with digestion. Research indicates vitamin E and coffee consumption can help lower risks of stomach, esophageal, and colon cancers.
Defination of Fitness
Knowledge about fitness goals, measuring progress, and motivation is important. Cardiovascular fitness is measured by maximum oxygen use and indicates work capacity. Functional fitness means general health and daily activity ability without discomfort. Recommendations are for moderate activity to achieve functional fitness and avoid disease. Lower intensity activity provides substantial health benefits and motivates more people. Increasing cardiovascular fitness through high intensity exercise makes a big difference by pressing the heart and lungs and making regular activities feel easier with improved fitness levels.

Introduction and Tour: Garden of Healthy Aging We started at the Garden of Healthy Aging, where I explained the purpose of the Healthy Aging project and the research and education model we follow. Several ISTE members visited the site while we presented to an audience in Denver. Visitors also looked at the Reducing Stress station as a sample of the exhibits at the Garden of Healthy Aging.
