This document describes a project focused on developing software for stock management and billing systems for medical stores. The project was completed by three students for their department of information technology. The software allows for inventory management, accounting, searching for medicines by name, and alerts for expired or expiring medicines. It provides advantages over previous similar projects, including easy medicine searching, automatic data validation, and minimum stock maintenance.

3. INTRODUCTION
 The project titled as “Project focusing
on the software for stock
management and billing system in
medical store” provide an application
i.e. designed as to ease the work load of
medical shop professionals.
 The main feature includes inventory and
stock control, accounting, client and
vendor management.
 The software include searching facility by
names and find out the expired medicine
or the medicines near by expiry date.

4. PURPOSE OF PROJECT
 The project is going to be develop for
“SHREE DUTT MEDICAL STORE”.
 The purpose of the project is to maintain
the stock management and billing system.
 The main purpose is to fulfill the
requirements of the pharmacist i.e.
 Easy search of medicine
Maintain the record alphabetically
Alert message for expired medicines
Updation of the records

9. DEMERITS OF THE WORK THAT HAS
ALREADY DONE IN THIS FIELD

• No searching mechanism
• Expiry mechanism is not available

10. ADVANTAGES OF OUR PROJECT
 It provides easy search technique of medicine by
simply typing starting alphabet.
 It also include automatic validation of data during it
sale and purchase.
 It is able to detect the medicines that are near to
expiry date or expired.
 It maintain minimun quality of stock in store by
showing message if stock is going to be limited.

 There will be only one data base for the
two or more stores.
 Messaging service to inform customers.
