Introduction
• A pharmacy management system is a web based application
system used by pharmacies to manage and organize their
operations.
• It typically includes features such as inventory management,
prescription processing, patient records, and financial
reporting.
Problem Statement
• Managing a large pharmacy with paper records will be time-
consuming and difficult to maintain track of inventories(Abby
Jenkins, February 4, 2022)
• Searching every patient information take more manpower time and
effort.(Dr.Salil Choudhary, Mar 16 2016)
• Significant amount of time is allocated for writing the order as the
pharmacist needs to go through the stock balance and make rough
estimate of the amount to order (W.D.W.T. Rathnayake 2018)
Objective
• To implement a digital pharmacy management system. This system would allow for easy
tracking of inventory and streamlined organization of patient records. Additionally, it can
improve communication and collaboration between staff, increase efficiency and accuracy,
and provide better overall patient care.
• To implement a digital patient management system. This system would allow for easy and
quick access to patient information, reducing the time and effort required for manual
searches.
• To implement an automated inventory management system. This system would allow the
pharmacist to easily check stock levels, track usage, and automatically generate reorder
reports.
• To Improve communication and collaboration between staff.
• To enhance patient care by providing easy access to patient information, including
medication history, and other relevant information.

Methodology
• Agile methodology
Agile methodology is a project management approach that
focuses on delivering small increments of work frequently and
iteratively, rather than following a traditional, linear project plan.
It emphasizes flexibility and adaptability, and values the input
and feedback of team members and stakeholders.
System Implementation
• The system is implemented using Apache web server MySQL,
and PHP.
Design Constraints
• The system is an online web application which runs on any
operating system platform. It is developed using PHP, HTML5
and MYSQL database
Background Study
• The use of the current pharmaceutical management system is essential. It involves
information technology, as stated by important from demand to supply, as well as the
importance of information about drugs itself both from the point of use and the side
effect or consequences of use. This system contains an evaluation of the patient’s
opinion about medicines and hospital pharmacy services so that services bases on
user perceptions, which can also develop through collaboration.(Arjun Kumar,2019)
• It will also give report showing the list of products expiries after a specified date before the
product eventually expires, the movement of drugs in and out of the pharmacy, the list of
stock ending details. The SMS and email facility is available in the system. The customers can
view the stock available details through the system and they can upload a prescription after
creating an account. By logging to the system, they can view the status of their uploading.

help the researchers to gather valuable data and ideas that can
guide for the development of the proposed system. It is easy
for the readers or researchers to understand the concept of
the study. It gives an overview of the different study that has
been done before and the proponents collect some ideas from
another study to formulate a new concept to be applied to the
developed system.

• A pharmacy management system can help to improve the
