INTRODUCTION
 Library Management System is discipline of the planning,
organizingand managing the library tasks. Library
managementis entering the records of new book and
retrieving the details of book available in the library.
PURPOSE
 The purpose of this project is to provide a friendly
environment to maintainthe details of books and library
members.
 The main purpose of this project is to maintain easy
circulation system using computers and to provide different
reports.
EXISTING SYSTEM
 In the existing system, Collegeshave to manually maintain
information regarding the library.
 It is very difficult to retrieve data from case files.
 Redundancyof data may occur and this may lead to the
inconsistency.
 The manual system is very time-consuming.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
 The proposed system is very easy to operate. It
eliminatesthe drawbacks of the existing system to a
great extent and it provides tight security to data. In the
proposed system,we assume that each member will be
having a identity card which can be used for the library
book issue, return etc. whenever library member wish
to take a book, the book issued by the library authority
will be check both the book details as well as the
student details and store it in library database. In case
of retrieval of book much of human intervention can be
eliminated.

 Floppy Drive : 1.44 MB
 Key Board : Standard Windows Keyboard
 Mouse : Two or Three Button Mouse
 Monitor : SVGA
