From 1941 to 1945, The Holocaust took place in many countries, and millions of people died. Adolf
Hitler came to power in 1933 in Germany, and had an Aryan Race which was the Nazi s idea of a
master race. They thought that people with blonde hair and blue eyes were perfect. Adolf Hitler
developed a plan called the Final Solution, which was to kill mostly Jewish people, but also anyone
who did not fit his standards. Hitler rounded up all of the people he disliked, and he placed them in
concentration camps and death camps. In these awful places, these prisoners got tortured not only
physically, but also mentally. In France, many Jews were being deported to Germany, however; there
was so many, that they had to stay in concentration camps in France. The survival rate in France was
higher than any country in Europe during the Holocaust. Two very similar people who made very
different choices were in France during the Holocaust. A priest named Andre Trocme made a good
choice to save many Jews, and a SS officer named Klaus Barbie made a bad choice to kill thousands

The purpose of my science fair project is to see if plants can survive in a miniature greenhouse
setting.I did this project by planting cilantro in two mason jars, and putting a lid on one and not
putting a lid on the other. I became interested in this experiment when I grew a flower in a smart water
bottle with a closed lid. The information gained from this experiment will help others by know which
types of plants grow better in closed bottles, jars, pots. The problem is to find out what effect does/do
closed jars have on plant growth? How does/do water and humidity and sunlight determine a plant s
health and how much it will grow? What amount of water and sunlight is optimal for plant health and
growth? How do different types of potting soil affect a plant s growth? These questions have guided

Madoff in 1960 with $5,000 that he had earned lifeguarding (A E Television Network, 2014). Bernie
also secured a loan from his father in law in the amount of $50,000 to further fund the newly formed
business. At this stage in his career, Bernie was making the firm s profits by trading in penny stocks.
He would receive requests to make investments from his clients. He would then contact another
investor or broker to seek out the best price. The difference between what his clients were willing to
pay and what he could buy for represented the profit. Even during these early days in business Mr.
Madoff practiced some shady business ethics. Mr. Madoff began to have his father in law manage the
new clients that he brought to invest with Bernie (PBS.org, 2009). Bernie was also not licensed as an
investment advisor for the number of clients he had grown to serve. State and Federal securities
regulation during the time period was slack and Mr. Madoff was just one of many advisors without
proper licensing. In rewarding those that brought new investors to the firm, Bernard L. Madoff
Securities, LLC grew exponentially. Add to the equation an advantage given to the firm by its
advanced computerized trading operations and very quickly Bernie came to control the fortunes of

The particular descent ahead of those on the hill on May 10, 1996, resulted in the greatest loss of life
in the history of mountaineering on Everest. As news spread of the nine deaths (including that of Hall,
who spoke to his wife in New Zealand by radiophone as he lay stranded in a snowstorm on the summit
ridge), a barrage of questions resounded: What went wrong? Why was the approaching storm ignored?
And, most emphatically, why are tourists with more money than expertise being taken up Everest in

Jon Krakauer was one of the survivors, and in Into Thin Air he relives the storm and its aftermath,
trying to answer those questions. As he sees it, essentially nothing went wrong, at least in terms of the
storm, which struck with little warning. Instead, the root of the problem lies in the famous explanation
George Mallory gave when asked why he wanted to climb the mountain, an explanation that still holds

Engineering Practices (GEPs) that detailed all of the business processes underlying the
Project Services functions of estimating, scheduling, cost, change, and risk management. The GEPs
incorporated much of the native knowledge of the
Project Management group along with industry best practices. After intensive vetting by an extensive
review process, these practices served as the basis for engagement of PCSI. After considering these
requirements and implementing a strict bid and award phase, the solutions chosen were Skire Unifier
for cost and change management, Primavera and Microsoft
Project for project and portfolio planning, Timberline for estimating, and
Advisor for benchmarking Figure 2.
The first was an increased competency in development of high level cost ideas/ options with a +/ 50%
