Etilefrine is a withdrawn adrenergic agonist and vasoconstrictive agent that binds to beta-2 and alpha-1-adrenergic receptors, causing smooth muscle constriction and increasing pulse rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure. It was previously used to treat low flow priapism and hypotension. Etilefrine is now withdrawn and no longer indicated for use due to its adrenergic effects.
