Brady Tragic Hero
Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee s drama Inherit the Wind depicts the story of the Scopes Monkey
Trial. It takes place in a small religious community where talking about evolution is against the law. A
schoolteacher within the town had been caught teaching Darwinism to his science class, which drew
attention from people all over the country. A famous lawyer named Henry Drummond arrived to
defend him, while a man named Matthew Harrison Brady, a well liked religious figure, visited to
prosecute him. It could be argued that Brady possessed the traits of a tragic hero, which is a flawed
character that suffers for his beliefs. Brady s choices and ways make him fit the traits of a tragic hero.
To begin, a tragic hero is usually someone of high ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His death was a result of his choice. He chose to not take proper care of himself, especially in the
extreme heat. As an illustration, when the buffet was brought out when the Bradys arrived, he piles
mountains of food on his plate. Even though his wife had warned him to be careful in the heat and
eating, he takes a large amount of food from the table. It had to have been a repeated behavior, since
Mrs. Brady mentioned the doctor warning Brady about overheating. He let his appetite control him,
and ignored the risks of eating so much outside in the heat. Furthermore, Brady didn t stop to calm
down after getting worked up over the lack of attention from observers. To illustrate, as Brady s face
began turning red, he freezes. His lips move, but nothing comes out. Paradoxically, his silence brings
silence. Brady was too focused on the crowd that he neglected himself. He continued attempting to
gain their attention until he was physically unable to speak. He neglected his health throughout
enough to the point where he couldn t handle what he was feeling. If he would ve cared for himself
more, his death could ve been avoided. Brady s death was a result of his own fault, but it wasn t
necessarily deserved, much like a tragic hero s

Advantages Of Fuzzy Logic
In a narrow sense, fuzzy logic can be defined as a logical system, which is an expansion of multi
valued logic. Whereas in a wider sense it is almost similar with fuzzy sets theory. It is a method for
computing based on degrees of truth or fact rather than the true or false (1 or 0). The idea of fuzzy
logic was first proposed by Dr. Lotfi Zadeh of the University of California at Berkeley in the 1965
[65].
4.1 FUZZY LOGIC SYSTEM
A fuzzy logic system (FLS) can be defined as the nonlinear mapping of an input data set to a scalar
output data [66]. It works like a way that human brain works. The data are get together and form a
number of partial facts or truths which are made aggregate further into higher level of truths. If these
truths crosses certain level of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fuzzy logic is a more sensitive approach without the complexity.
2) Fuzzy logic is flexible: In any given system, it is easy to coat on more functionality without being
start from scratch.
3) Fuzzy logic is tolerable about inexact data: In the nature or in any experimental process everything
is inexact. Fuzzy logic is made tolerable about all these things.
4) Fuzzy logic is able to model nonlinear functions of random complexity: A fuzzy controller is able to
match any kind of input and output values. This process is made mainly easy by adaptive techniques
which are available in Fuzzy Logic Toolbox of MATLAB software like Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy
Inference Systems (ANFIS).
5) Fuzzy logic is based on general language: Fuzzy logic allows us to communicate with the system
using a common language of human like If then .
4.3 FUNCTION OF FUZZY LOGIC INFERENCE
The function of Fuzzy inference system is to interpret the values from the input vector and using some
set of rules, assigns these values to the output vector. This definition is clear from the figure

Impact Of Technology On The Classroom
Reflection
Technology helps students in the learning procedure altering the way learning is conveyed. Presently
learning has turned into a customized and significant experience that addresses learners issues as
contradicted to conventional instructor focused and content based training that places essential
accentuation on passing on settled assortments of data and survey students as latent beneficiaries of
learning. Henceforth, regardless of their own disparities, inclinations and histories, technology convey
individualized substance at the time and place students select (e learning and portable adapting) in this
manner, taking so as to expand their learning spaces learning out of the classroom (Domalewska,
2014). I had the opportunity to observe and design a technology checklist to aid in evaluating the
technology in the classroom. The technology list brought awareness to the use of technology in a
classroom setting. The first class I observed did a great job with following all parts of the technology
list. One could indicate that Ms. Lockhart has train her students on the importance and use of
technology. I thought her students were attentive and produce effectiveness utilization of technology.
In addition, I like how the small group transition flowed truly well with the students. They knew what
was expected and delivered. The second class I observed presented the use of technology in a different
form.

Mexican American War Analysis
The start of the Mexican American War started when the United States annexed Texas, we are told of
the results and the clash of opinions between the politicians, but we are not informed about the
military s perspective of the battles they fought. The war how we see it today is different how the
soldiers once saw it. Although we are told of the acquired land received from each battle that was
won, there is no writing informing us of what the soldiers gave up in return for all this land. The
Mexican war provided opportunities to the soldiers such as rapid promotion. Instead of fearing the
idea of war, many reacted the opposite, because of the opportunity it provided. The war gave each
solider the chance to go pass the classic seniority system and get promoted much quicker. When the
time came to actually go to war, many showed almost no sign of excitement through the written letters
they sent. It could be interpreted as fear, or even a sign depressing because they only expressed their
dissatisfaction and only showed concern over family and health. On 12 April 1844 Texas nearly ...

Chem Lab Project 2 Essay
Investigating the Determining Characteristics of Cations and Anions
Chem 111 Sec 560
Introduction: The purpose of this lab was to study the specific characteristics of cations and anions,
and ultimately to be able to identify an unknown substance based on our studies and tests using the
logic trees developed through the experiment. A logic tree is a graphical display of the findings from
this lab which, through a series of yes/no questions, elimination tests, will help us to identify and
unknown sample. This lab will result in 2 logic trees, one for identifying cations and the other, anions.
The lab was broken into three parts: Part 1 dealt with identifying a cation, Part 2 an ... Show more

The resulting color flashes were recorded. The cation solutions were then disposed of in the
appropriate waste containers.
From the information in each of these tests, a Cation logic tree was formed for easy identification of
unknown cations.
Part 2: Anion Analysis: The experiment was performed on 4 anions: chloride (Cl
), sulfate (SO42
),
nitrate (NO3
), and carbonate (CO32
). A sample of each anion was prepared by placing 10 drops of
each anion solution into a centrifuge tube. The tubes were labeled accordingly. The original color of
the solution was recorded. The first test performed was an Anion Elimination Test, the Silver Nitrate
Test. 0.1 M AgNO3 was added dropwise to each tube until a precipitate was formed or 5 drops of 0.1
M AgNO3 were administered. First, 2 drops of 0.1 M AgNO3 was added to the tube containing Cland
the results recorded, noting the appearance (texture), color, and shape. This process was repeated for
all the anions as follows: SO42: 20 drops, NO3
: 20 drops, CO32
: 1 drop of 0.1 M AgNO3 was added.
For each solution which formed a precipitate (Cl

Obama Care Disparities In Health Care
Health care reform has been a hot topic for decades now. In 2010, Obama signed into law, the
Affordable Care Act (ACA) or more commonly known as Obamacare. In short, the goal was to
provide more Americans with affordable quality health insurance and decrease the cost of health care
spending. Everyone is guaranteed (required) health insurance or pay a penalty.
It has provided more Americans with health coverage, no denials for pre existing conditions, insurance
is more affordable for some but higher for others, no time limits on care, more screenings are covered,
and lower perspiration drug costs (Larrat, Marcoux, Vogenberg, 2012). The negative effects, many
have to pay higher premiums and out of pocket expenses than before, taxes are rising to help offset the
cost, longer wait times when seeing a physician, and employers are choosing to pay the penalty or

Tinker V. Des Moines Analysis
In the case Tinker V. Des Moines a group of adults and students in Des Moines decided that in protest
of the Vietnam war they would wear black armbands during school. Although the protest was silent,
the school feared the controversy that this would cause and implemented a new policy that forbid
students to wear armbands or they would face suspension. When the day came the students were asked
to remove the bands and they refused, they were suspended and asked to not return until they removed
the armbands. The parents of the students decided to sue the school because they believed the schools
action went against the first amendment. The supreme court came to a conclusion after analysing the

Reasons To Break A Social Norms Of Society
Social norms are unwritten rules about how to behave. They provide us with an expected idea of how
to behave in a particular Social group or culture. They act as accepted standards of behavior of social
group. It is the hope of society that people adhere to the social norms of the given society they find
themselves in. For my social norms paper, I chose to break a social norm by using a fork to drink soup
and then using my fingers to eat a rice dish at a restaurant on a dinner date with a guy I was meeting
for the first time. I chose to break this norm for several reasons. Firstly, I wanted an experience to
write about for my psychology paper. Secondly, I loved the fact that I was going to be the only odd
one in the restaurant and possibly get stares and murmurs from other customers staff. Most people that
eat at this restaurant eat with cutlery so I knew I was bound to be a topic of discussion. Thirdly, I
wanted to see the reaction of my date, if he was going to leave, play along or just feel uncomfortable.
Lastly, I just missed eating with my fingers as I come from a place where some foods are eaten with
the fingers. It was a Sunday evening so the restaurant was packed with customers. Before I embarked
on my mischief, my date and I ordered our meal and I excused myself to go to the washroom to wash
my hands ready to consume my food. I had every type of feeling running through my head. I was
feeling anxious, scared, weird, and stupid for the most part of the date

Guatemal A Country And Poor Country
Guatemala is a beautiful, diverse yet small and poor country in Latin America. Because of its ongoing
economic crisis, the country has reached a reality where, according to WFP (2016), Guatemala has not
only the highest rate of malnutrition in Latin America, but also is considered the country with the
fourth biggest rate of chronic malnutrition worldwide. This topic has an enormous relevance because
as WFP (2016) mentions, the chronic malnutrition that kids from this country go though is what makes
Guatemala be one of the 36 countries in the world that form 90% of the worlds stunting. According to
Unicef (2016), the percentage of children of five years or less that are considered to be underweight is
for 4 in every 10. It is astonishing to realize that it is nearly half of the infant population in the entire
country of Guatemala that is undernourished. In the following paragraphs it will be examined
questions involving the relation that mothers have with the under nutrition of the children and if past
generations can influence under nutrition. Furthermore, it will be examined what is traditionally given
to kids at a daycare.
Is there a correlation between the relationships that mothers have with their children s under nutrition
at an early age? Can the current situation of malnutrition have been influenced by past generations?
Under nutrition is not only considered to begin at an advanced age (5 years or more). It has been
proven that infant malnutrition can begin even

PROMOTION
Because our main selling point is local , so our promotion strategy should focus on local market.
 We want to promote our store through local newspaper but the space of our advertisement in
newspaper should not be too big. Consider of the cost of advertisement and the segment of market we
pick, we need a moderate size but cool advertisement to match up to our store.
 We also want to exhibit our products or the latest fashion design to the local markets. So, we want
to hold a launch party to exhibit these designs softly to potential customers. Not only when the store is
opening, but we want to hold this kind of party seasonal. We can also invite the designers and VIP
customers come to our party to communicate with each other. We think these parties can increase the
brand loyalty and increase the times of exposure.
 We also want to sponsor local match of fashion design when we have enough capitals. It is a good
way to advertise our brand and make a good relationship with potential talent designers.

Our target segment of clothing market is the people around 25 40 years old and have a higher than

Difference Between Ownership And A Sense Of Self
Anywhere in the world, someone acquires something, whether it be money, a car, or even an idea. We
can own many intangible and tangible items in life, but how does ownership relate to a sense of self?
This question has been constantly answered for centuries through intelligent people like Plato,
Aristotle, and Jean Paul Sartre. However, the question has received no agreeable answer. In the end,
people will agree that there is a strong and positive relationship between ownership and a sense of self
because the things you own will define and develop who you are positively by exhibiting what you
like, what you can and cannot do, and in the end, characterizes you, as long as you use the items you
own properly. Jean Paul Sartre argues that intangible items such as skill and knowledge is something
that we own and defines who we are on top of tangible items, since acquiring skill and knowledge
makes us better in different aspects of life. By saying this, Sartre would agree that when we own
something such as knowledge, it will shape our sense of self and identity since it makes us a better
person when we use our own knowledge to benefit our own selves and others, thus showing a strong
and positive relationship between ownership and sense of self. Aristotle would also agree with both
Jean Paul Sartre and the statement that the relationship between ownership and sense of self is strong
and positive because he states in his own studies that the ownership of tangible goods will

Studying the Energy Industry in University
I am interested in the scientific, economical and business aspects of the energy industry, as they not
only have a big impact on our daily lives, but our future. I know that I would like to be part of this
important and growing enterprise in a way that connects science and business. I would l be happy to
study either at University, while developing my skills of the other simultaneously.
Geology is a science that fascinates me as am hugely interested in how and why Earth was formed the
way it was, and the factors involved, from the beginning to the present day. As oil and gas supplies run
out, renewable energy that can provide large amounts of power is becoming sought after, and geology
is a field that contributes hugely to the energy sector and is certainly needed for renewable energy as
well as fossil fuels. Another reason I love geology is the fact that there are so many different types:
glaciology, hydrology, meteorology etc., all of which I am keen to learn about, particularly
geochemistry as it studies at a molecular level. Likewise, the biology involved also fascinates me, as it
includes learning about how geological change affects life on earth.
However, without business management, the energy industry would not be able to operate and make
the money needed for funding valuable research that could help solve our future problems. I feel that
having good business skills gives you the ability to think strategically and make the best decisions.

The Views Parents And Teachers Have On Inclusion And How...
The purpose of this report is to outline the views parents and teachers have on inclusion and how these
views impact on classroom inclusion strategies. This report will discuss inclusion and the benefits for
all students. The discussion will then focus on recommendations for bringing these views into line
with current policies. This will be investigated by reviewing literature on inclusion through recently
published journal articles and internet sites.
According to Inclusion Now (2015) inclusion means that all children, regardless of their background
or ability, are given the chance to play, learn and interact together , meaning every person regardless of
their age, gender, race, religion or disability is given the opportunity to be included in situations and
services equally and fairly. The views parents, teachers and the community hold have an impact on
classroom inclusion strategies. These are the three main stakeholders in a child s education and all of
them contribute to the outcomes of these students.
Teachers
Teachers in particular have a major influence on their student s individual learning. Their attitudes
towards inclusion have a significant impact on the strategies they may or may not use within their
classroom. The teacher s views towards inclusion can be determined by many factors. Teachers who
have been more educated in this area may have a more positive outlook on inclusive education.
Teachers need to provide their students with different learning

Like Mattie, Anne lived in a frightful time of the World War II, when the Nazis killed many Jews,
blaming that they were the reason why Germany was defeated in the World War I. Both Mattie and
Anne had to leave their homes and hid somewhere else in order to survive. Both of them had to watch
people die at very young ages. But they had one good thing in common. Mattie and Anne did not give
up their hope and courage even in heartbreaking moments. They tried to look at the bright side when
many people only saw the opposite. This book might have focused mainly on yellow fever and Mattie
s survival at that time, but I think the change that occurred inside her was important, as well. I wasn t
really a big fan of historical fictions because I didn t like reading books that looked like social studies
textbooks. I especially didn t want to read this book because there was a huge 1793 written on the
cover. But lots of people recommended this book to me and so I decided to give it a shot. After I read
the first 2 chapters, I couldn t get my hands off of it. The story was fantastic and inspiring. I liked the
way how the author included direct quotes from that time in every chapter, since it was fun trying to
predict what would happen while reading them. I highly recommend this book to everyone around my
age. By reading this book, they will also realize that historical novels are as good as fantasy

this, for choosing the value of CTE for SiC, I used the room temperature values declared on Table 3 of
the 1997 publication by R.G. Munro, which is attached to this message. For room temperature the
value 1.1 and for 500°C the value 4.4 is given. I noticed that for all other experimental CTEs as well
as theoretical assumptions, I am using CTE values that are averaged between room temperature and
elevated temperatures. Therefore, it makes sense to me to average these two values and use the
number 2.75 for CTE of this type of SiC particles. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Do you think you possess any information that we can assimilate to our work? Is that plot referring to
the same matrix which is described in this draft? If so, I would appreciate if you provide that plot and
its relevant raw data to me.
P.S.: For your further information, in the present work, CS stands for NLI 122, CZ for NLI 110, and
CSZ for NLI 123.
I absolutely agree with you that this idea could make our work more powerful. Not only because it can
provide an extra control, also because the impact of the severity of the thermal shock response of
(comparable) refractories has not been well explored in the literature, to my best knowledge. I
proposed the same idea as a research topic in the past, however, our time and resources have always
been limited, and based on the available resources it was decided to explore other aspects of the
thermal shock phenomena. This experimental research could be generally designed in three ways:
1 Apply one temperature profile to multiple types of refractory and characterize the response of the
refractories.
2 Apply multiple temperature profiles to one type of refractory and characterize the impact of the
temperature profile.
3 Apply multiple temperature profiles on multiple types of refractory and characterize the response of
the refractories as well as the impact of the temperature profile.

Bob Dylan s songs are filled with inspirational messages. The songs were composed with inspiration
and creativity being the main elements of the song. The obvious messages that are presented in the
songs make them some of the most inspiring and creative pieces that have ever been produced. While
he was performing in the Aver Fish Hall, Dylan presented a performance of 22 songs that were
performed by 21 different groups. The performance was meant to be a non profit show, with the main
focus being to raise money for educational purposes (Pareles 1).

These instruments were meant to influence the originality of the performance and create an
accompaniment for the song. As a result, the songs sounded real and the performers were able to
replicate the original versions of the songs (O Strange 1). There were also pianos that were played
according to the music s genre. The pianos, just like the rest of the instruments, ensured that the music
was perfect and that there was as much proximity to the original versions as possible.
Even in terms of the instrumentation and rhythm, all the musical notations that were performed were
similar to the original version. The piano players ensured that they stuck to the eighth note formation
to realize the expected results. Natalie Merchant, one of the singers, made the composition and the
performance to have a mournful or sorrowful mood, so as to bring out the emotions of the songs and
to establish an attachment of the song to the performance (Pareles 1). The performances were
therefore inclined towards bringing out the ideal feelings and emotions associated with the song. Other
performances were by Rossane Cash, who ensured similarity between the original versions and the
songs played during the show (O Strange 1).
Solo guitars were also used as accompaniments to the songs in order realize pure creativity and
originality. The guitars that were used by the various performers targeted at ensuring conformity to the

There are many viewpoints on this subject and I think it is hard to find the facts that have not been
altered or slanted by people with their own opinions. By the year 2007 the facts are supposed to be
presented and addressed to the House of Representatives. There are many ways to look at this subject.
One is by the industry and how this subject could affects the local businesses. I personally would feel
an affect of the banning of snowmobiles in the park. I work for a company that manufactures
snowmobiles and the grooming equipment that keeps the trails open. There is a great amount of
revenue that comes from the thriving industry. There are some 85,000 visitors each winter that
generates over 30 million dollars throughout the three surrounding states. The other way to look at this
subject is the pollution that these snowmobiles create. Tests have been done to prove that just one
snowmobile creates the same amount of pollution that of 100 automobiles (The New York Times,
2002). They generate up to 68% of all the carbon monoxide and up to 90% of all the hydrocarbons
emitted in the park. This has been proven to be a huge factor when it comes to nature along with the
plants and animals in the area. The problems I see from overturning President Clintons ban on the
park consists of many different aspects. First would be the controversy that the overturn has caused

RICA Case Study Essay
Case Report
During dissection, carried out in the anatomy laboratory, we found an absent right internal carotid
artery (RICA) with an extremely rare branching pattern. The specimen consists of a brain from a male
cadaver with the absence of the right internal carotid artery.
On the medial end of the stem of the left lateral sulcus, the left internal carotid artery (LICA)
bifurcated into the left middle cerebral artery (LMCA) and a single trunk. The left posterior
communicating artery arises from the left internal carotid artery just before its division. The left
middle cerebral artery enters the left lateral sulcus of Sylvius and it distributes as normally does. The
left main single trunk (LMST) runs anteromedially towards the longitudinal cerebral fissure, above the
optic tract and optic chiasm. Just at the beginning of the longitudinal cerebral fissure the left main

Helping Make Hair Loss History
Statement of the Problem
Merck needs to develop a marketing strategy to launch its new hair loss product, Propecia®. The
strategy should determine the target segment, product positioning, and the most effective marketing
mix.
Issues and Analysis
The Food and Drug Administration s restrictions on direct to consumer (DTC) advertising restricts
content and type of advertising. The FDA allows only three types of advertising for prescription drugs:
brand name, indication or both. A key decision for Merck is which type of advertisement to use. A
product claim ad can mention both the brand name of the drug and the problem it will correct, but it
will also have to include a list of major side effects. Reminder ads could mention the ... Show more

Caucasian men should be a primary focus when selecting channels of distribution and advertising
media because they make up the largest percentage of the market.
Merck s marketing mix should focus on a message to encourage consumers to seek treatment early
because the product shows the best results and is most useful to consumers in the early stages of
MPHL.
Merck needs to employ DTC advertising with Product claim advertisements because Merck needs to
create awareness and generate demand for Propecia® and encourage consumers to ask their doctors
for a prescription.
Merck needs to differentiate Propecia® by positioning it as the hair loss product that is easier to use
and more effective than other hair loss products. Emphasizing its ease of use and effectiveness will
attract new consumers to the hair loss market and those customers currently using other hair loss
remedies.
Merck should provide primary detailing support for Propecia® because physicians need accurate and
detailed information before prescribing a drug. Merck should use informative brochures in doctor s
offices to communicate to doctors and patients that risk of use is minimal and side effects usually

A Brief Summary Of Documentar Documentary Films
Smith was able to narrative a story of a filmmaker as he struggled with his addiction of drugs and
alcohol. He also captured how Borchardt s best friend fixed his alcohol addiction by adopting a new
addiction, gambling. His friend wanted to make money so he could help fund the short films that were
in production. The main subjects seemed as they were actors because they were so different that it felt
almost fake. Smith also showed Borchardt s obsession with creating and finishing a short horror film.
Borchardt consistently talked about how badly he needed to finish Coven throughout the documentary.
He does get the video done because he was also obsessed with finishing his project in order to get
money for his next project. He was so obsessed to get his film done he asked his dying uncle Bill for
money continuously. After his uncle passed away he left him money in his will so Borchardt could
finish Northwestern. Borchardt did everything he could in order to finish the film. Even though it
seemed as if he had a drinking problem he was still able to complete a product he was happy about.
Borchardt is still making short films today including movies like Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever and

Insider Trading And Trading Of A Public Company
Before we can delve into the topic of Insider Trading it is important to understand what insider trading
and what are its implications. Let us begin with the definitions of insider trading:
Insider trading is the trading of a public company s stock or other securities (such as bonds or stock
options) by individuals with access to non public information about the company. In various countries,
insider trading based on inside information is illegal. This is because it is seen as unfair to other
investors who do not have access to the information. Wikipedia, 2014
Insider trading is defined as a malpractice wherein trade of a company s securities is undertaken by
people who by virtue of their work have access to the otherwise non public information which can be
crucial for making investment decisions.
ET, 2014
We must note here that insider trading has two aspects: legal insider trading and illegal insider trading
:
Insider trading can be illegal or legal depending on when the insider makes the trade: it is illegal when
the material information is still non public trading while having special knowledge is unfair to other
investors who don t have access to such knowledge. Illegal insider trading therefore includes tipping
others when you have any sort of non public information. Directors are not the only ones who have the
potential to be convicted of insider trading. People such as brokers and even family members can be
guilty.
The legal version is when

US National Public Debt Essay
The national debt is the result of a state s borrowing from its population, from foreign governments, or
from international institutions such as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Public debts tend to be large scale credit operations and are contracted on a national scale by central
governments and on a lesser scale by provincial, regional, district, and municipal administrative
bodies. In the U.S., public debts are also contracted by the states and by local governments, primarily
for public works.
Kinds of Debt
National public debts are contracted chiefly through the flotation of interest paying loans, in the form
of bonds, bills, or notes. Historically, these loans have been undertaken to raise money for wars ...

Although government loans are for the most part not secured by physical assets, they are regarded in
law as contracts carrying an obligation on the part of the debtor to repay. Nevertheless, governments,
when hard pressed during economic crises or as a result of political upheavals, have sometimes
repudiated their public debts in whole or in part. In many cases, also, a government to whom another
is in debt may agree to forgive the debt or reschedule its payment over a longer period.
History
In earlier times debts contracted by heads of state had the legal status of personal debt; public debt
emerged as a systematic element in a country s economy when regular sources of income became
available to provide funds to repay loans, a monetary system became fully formed, and an organized
money market came into operation. The first examples of public debt surfaced in the late 17th century
in Europe and became more prevalent with the rise of the modern state and the banking and credit
system that grew out of the Industrial Revolution.
Today, the finances involved in contracting and redeeming the public debt of a country are a sizable
proportion of its government budget. As the money for redemption of the public debt is raised
principally through taxation, the size of the national debt is a factor in determining taxation rates.

Gilbert Ryle s Essay Ghost In The Machine
In The Ghost in the Machine essay, Gilbert Ryle asserts that Descartes makes a category mistake by
thinking that there is something called a mind over a person s behavioral temperaments. A category
mistake, according to Ryle, is an error in which one assigns a feature or action to something that can
correctly be assigned to things only of another category. When one commits a category mistake, the
person is essentially misusing a word. Ryle uses the example of a person visiting Oxford for the first
time. He/she is shown the libraries, playing fields, administrative offices, etc., and then asks at the tour
s end, but where is the university? The visitor is treating the university as if it were part of the

The Role Of Traditional Family Life Cycle
Traditional Family Life Cycle The stages the typical consumer passes through from childhood to death
of spouse or partner is known as the family life cycle. The typical stages of a traditional family life
cycle were as follows:
1. Bachelor stage
2. Young newlyweds with no children
3. Full nest I: youngest child under the age of six
4. Full nest II: youngest child over six
5. Full nest III: older married or with dependent children
6. Empty nest I: older married couples with dependent children, head in labor force
7. Empty nest II: older married couple, no children living at home
8. Solitary survivor in labor force
9. Solitary survivor retired
As the stages transition characteristics of the life cycle change as well. During different stages of life
the different circumstances lead to different priorities in their purchasing decisions. The family life
cycle listed above is becoming less traditional. People are making the choice to be and remain single
throughout the course of their lives. Many marriages end up in divorce and later remarry to create
blended families. Families may consist of two same individuals of the same sex sharing a household
and raising children, or a single person not involved in a relationship raising a child. There are many
types of households. For the purpose of this paper the nine stages of the traditional family life cycle
will be used to determine who would most be attracted the Avera McKenna website retrieved from

Compare and Contrast the Rise and Fall of Mesopotamia and...
In this project I plan on exploring the contrasts and comparisons between the rise of Mesopotamia and
Egypt. I chose this particular question because during my junior year I took and AP World History
class in which we of course studied the worlds history. One on my favorite things that we studied in
that class was ancient Empires. Mr. Herman, my AP teacher during that time, went through the
Mesopotamian and Egyptian Empires rather too quickly for my tastes. I felt as though there were a lot
of things that I missed and would have loved to study. So during my preparations for the AP exams I
wrote a brief essay on comparing and contrasting the rise and fall of the Egyptian and Mesopotamian
Empire. I enjoyed writing this essay and was quite interested in the topic. Despite the fact this didn t
make up much of the exam I later decided that this would be my capstone topic backup in case I don t
like the one I came up with in the future. And like I predicted I did not like my previous topic and
chose to continue this. The reason I thought to do this for my capstone after my other idea failed was
because I found that people would get a lot more out of this. We go to an arts school and frankly
unless something has to do with the history of our art forms people don t really pay that much
attention to history, unless they plan to become an anthropologist. I found that with this I can educate
my classmates on the history of those who came before us and then apply it to current day

Summary Of Buck Fanshaw s Funeral
Buck Fanshaw s Funeral by Mark Twain The story starts after the death of Buck Fanshawe, but is
more about how his best friend, Scotty Briggs, and the local minister struggle to communicate about
the details of his funeral. Buck is described as an upstanding man and the whole community mourns
him after he dies. Scotty, described as Buck s bosom friend, were very close, often jumping into fights
to help the losing side, so he is distraught when Buck dies. Scotty goes to the local minister, who is an
educated man from the east coast, to discuss Buck s funeral. However, the two can barely understand
each other due to Buck s lack of education and his west coast slang. Twain doesn t seem to mock
either Buck or the minister but uses their miscommunication to comedic effect. At the very end of the
story Scotty converts to Christianity and begins teaching Sunday school classes. The narrator notes
that his class progresses faster than all the others, regardless of his slang. 2. How Santa Claus Came to
Simpson s Bar by Bret Harte The story starts in Sacramento on a day when it has been raining for an
extended period of time. Most of the town is at Thompson s store rather than at Simpson s Bar. There
are many named characters, the main ones being the Old Man and his son, Johnny, who is affected by
many ailments. The story is almost a wild west take on Santa Claus, as it starts on Christmas eve and
Johnny asks his father if Christmas and Santa are real. Dick Bullen, another major character, acts as
Santa as he rushes on his ugly horse, Jovita, to get presents to Johnny. However, this being a western
story, Dick is shot during his journey by Jack Simpson, the owner of the bar and has to swim up river
in order to make it back to the bar to deliver the toys. 3. The Blue Hotel by Stephen Crane This story
is about five different men in a hotel and an examination on when one should step in to prevent a
situation from taking a turn for the worst. It takes place in a blue hotel in rural Nebraska run by a man
named Scully. The other main characters are his son, Johnny, The Swede, The Easterner, and The
Cowboy. The Swede behaves in a strange manner, as if he believes that everyone is trying to kill him.

  • 2. Brady Tragic Hero Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee s drama Inherit the Wind depicts the story of the Scopes Monkey Trial. It takes place in a small religious community where talking about evolution is against the law. A schoolteacher within the town had been caught teaching Darwinism to his science class, which drew attention from people all over the country. A famous lawyer named Henry Drummond arrived to defend him, while a man named Matthew Harrison Brady, a well liked religious figure, visited to prosecute him. It could be argued that Brady possessed the traits of a tragic hero, which is a flawed character that suffers for his beliefs. Brady s choices and ways make him fit the traits of a tragic hero. To begin, a tragic hero is usually someone of high ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His death was a result of his choice. He chose to not take proper care of himself, especially in the extreme heat. As an illustration, when the buffet was brought out when the Bradys arrived, he piles mountains of food on his plate. Even though his wife had warned him to be careful in the heat and eating, he takes a large amount of food from the table. It had to have been a repeated behavior, since Mrs. Brady mentioned the doctor warning Brady about overheating. He let his appetite control him, and ignored the risks of eating so much outside in the heat. Furthermore, Brady didn t stop to calm down after getting worked up over the lack of attention from observers. To illustrate, as Brady s face began turning red, he freezes. His lips move, but nothing comes out. Paradoxically, his silence brings silence. Brady was too focused on the crowd that he neglected himself. He continued attempting to gain their attention until he was physically unable to speak. He neglected his health throughout enough to the point where he couldn t handle what he was feeling. If he would ve cared for himself more, his death could ve been avoided. Brady s death was a result of his own fault, but it wasn t necessarily deserved, much like a tragic hero s ... • 3. Advantages Of Fuzzy Logic In a narrow sense, fuzzy logic can be defined as a logical system, which is an expansion of multi valued logic. Whereas in a wider sense it is almost similar with fuzzy sets theory. It is a method for computing based on degrees of truth or fact rather than the true or false (1 or 0). The idea of fuzzy logic was first proposed by Dr. Lotfi Zadeh of the University of California at Berkeley in the 1965 [65]. 4.1 FUZZY LOGIC SYSTEM A fuzzy logic system (FLS) can be defined as the nonlinear mapping of an input data set to a scalar output data [66]. Fuzzy logic is made tolerable about all these things. 4) Fuzzy logic is able to model nonlinear functions of random complexity: A fuzzy controller is able to match any kind of input and output values. This process is made mainly easy by adaptive techniques which are available in Fuzzy Logic Toolbox of MATLAB software like Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Systems (ANFIS). 5) Fuzzy logic is based on general language: Fuzzy logic allows us to communicate with the system using a common language of human like If then . 4.3 FUNCTION OF FUZZY LOGIC INFERENCE The function of Fuzzy inference system is to interpret the values from the input vector and using some set of rules, assigns these values to the output vector. Presently learning has turned into a customized and significant experience that addresses learners issues as contradicted to conventional instructor focused and content based training that places essential accentuation on passing on settled assortments of data and survey students as latent beneficiaries of learning. Henceforth, regardless of their own disparities, inclinations and histories, technology convey individualized substance at the time and place students select (e learning and portable adapting) in this manner, taking so as to expand their learning spaces learning out of the classroom (Domalewska, 2014). I had the opportunity to observe and design a technology checklist to aid in evaluating the technology in the classroom. The technology list brought awareness to the use of technology in a classroom setting. The first class I observed did a great job with following all parts of the technology list. One could indicate that Ms. Lockhart has train her students on the importance and use of technology. I thought her students were attentive and produce effectiveness utilization of technology. In addition, I like how the small group transition flowed truly well with the students. They knew what was expected and delivered. The second class I observed presented the use of technology in a different form. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Mexican American War Analysis The start of the Mexican American War started when the United States annexed Texas, we are told of the results and the clash of opinions between the politicians, but we are not informed about the military s perspective of the battles they fought. The war how we see it today is different how the soldiers once saw it. Although we are told of the acquired land received from each battle that was won, there is no writing informing us of what the soldiers gave up in return for all this land. The Mexican war provided opportunities to the soldiers such as rapid promotion. Instead of fearing the idea of war, many reacted the opposite, because of the opportunity it provided. The war gave each solider the chance to go pass the classic seniority system and get promoted much quicker. When the time came to actually go to war, many showed almost no sign of excitement through the written letters they sent. It could be interpreted as fear, or even a sign depressing because they only expressed their dissatisfaction and only showed concern over family and health. On 12 April 1844 Texas nearly ... A logic tree is a graphical display of the findings from this lab which, through a series of yes/no questions, elimination tests, will help us to identify and unknown sample. A sample of each anion was prepared by placing 10 drops of each anion solution into a centrifuge tube. The tubes were labeled accordingly. The original color of the solution was recorded. The first test performed was an Anion Elimination Test, the Silver Nitrate Test. 0.1 M AgNO3 was added dropwise to each tube until a precipitate was formed or 5 drops of 0.1 M AgNO3 were administered. First, 2 drops of 0.1 M AgNO3 was added to the tube containing Cland the results recorded, noting the appearance (texture), color, and shape. This process was repeated for all the anions as follows: SO42: 20 drops, NO3 : 20 drops, CO32 : 1 drop of 0.1 M AgNO3 was added. They provide us with an expected idea of how to behave in a particular Social group or culture. They act as accepted standards of behavior of social group. It is the hope of society that people adhere to the social norms of the given society they find themselves in. For my social norms paper, I chose to break a social norm by using a fork to drink soup and then using my fingers to eat a rice dish at a restaurant on a dinner date with a guy I was meeting for the first time. I chose to break this norm for several reasons. Firstly, I wanted an experience to write about for my psychology paper. Secondly, I loved the fact that I was going to be the only odd one in the restaurant and possibly get stares and murmurs from other customers staff. Most people that eat at this restaurant eat with cutlery so I knew I was bound to be a topic of discussion. Thirdly, I wanted to see the reaction of my date, if he was going to leave, play along or just feel uncomfortable. Lastly, I just missed eating with my fingers as I come from a place where some foods are eaten with the fingers. It was a Sunday evening so the restaurant was packed with customers. Before I embarked on my mischief, my date and I ordered our meal and I excused myself to go to the washroom to wash my hands ready to consume my food. Because of its ongoing economic crisis, the country has reached a reality where, according to WFP (2016), Guatemala has not only the highest rate of malnutrition in Latin America, but also is considered the country with the fourth biggest rate of chronic malnutrition worldwide. In the following paragraphs it will be examined questions involving the relation that mothers have with the under nutrition of the children and if past generations can influence under nutrition. Furthermore, it will be examined what is traditionally given to kids at a daycare. Is there a correlation between the relationships that mothers have with their children s under nutrition at an early age? • 15. Difference Between Ownership And A Sense Of Self Anywhere in the world, someone acquires something, whether it be money, a car, or even an idea. We can own many intangible and tangible items in life, but how does ownership relate to a sense of self? This question has been constantly answered for centuries through intelligent people like Plato, Aristotle, and Jean Paul Sartre. However, the question has received no agreeable answer. In the end, people will agree that there is a strong and positive relationship between ownership and a sense of self because the things you own will define and develop who you are positively by exhibiting what you like, what you can and cannot do, and in the end, characterizes you, as long as you use the items you own properly. Jean Paul Sartre argues that intangible items such as skill and knowledge is something that we own and defines who we are on top of tangible items, since acquiring skill and knowledge makes us better in different aspects of life. By saying this, Sartre would agree that when we own something such as knowledge, it will shape our sense of self and identity since it makes us a better person when we use our own knowledge to benefit our own selves and others, thus showing a strong and positive relationship between ownership and sense of self. Aristotle would also agree with both Jean Paul Sartre and the statement that the relationship between ownership and sense of self is strong and positive because he states in his own studies that the ownership of tangible goods will ... Studying the Energy Industry in University I am interested in the scientific, economical and business aspects of the energy industry, as they not only have a big impact on our daily lives, but our future. I know that I would like to be part of this important and growing enterprise in a way that connects science and business. I would l be happy to study either at University, while developing my skills of the other simultaneously. Geology is a science that fascinates me as am hugely interested in how and why Earth was formed the way it was, and the factors involved, from the beginning to the present day. As oil and gas supplies run out, renewable energy that can provide large amounts of power is becoming sought after, and geology is a field that contributes hugely to the energy sector and is certainly needed for renewable energy as well as fossil fuels. Another reason I love geology is the fact that there are so many different types: glaciology, hydrology, meteorology etc., all of which I am keen to learn about, particularly geochemistry as it studies at a molecular level. Likewise, the biology involved also fascinates me, as it includes learning about how geological change affects life on earth. However, without business management, the energy industry would not be able to operate and make the money needed for funding valuable research that could help solve our future problems. • 20. The Views Parents And Teachers Have On Inclusion And How... The purpose of this report is to outline the views parents and teachers have on inclusion and how these views impact on classroom inclusion strategies. This report will discuss inclusion and the benefits for all students. The discussion will then focus on recommendations for bringing these views into line with current policies. This will be investigated by reviewing literature on inclusion through recently published journal articles and internet sites. According to Inclusion Now (2015) inclusion means that all children, regardless of their background or ability, are given the chance to play, learn and interact together , meaning every person regardless of their age, gender, race, religion or disability is given the opportunity to be included in situations and services equally and fairly. The views parents, teachers and the community hold have an impact on classroom inclusion strategies. These are the three main stakeholders in a child s education and all of them contribute to the outcomes of these students. Teachers Teachers in particular have a major influence on their student s individual learning. Their attitudes towards inclusion have a significant impact on the strategies they may or may not use within their classroom. The teacher s views towards inclusion can be determined by many factors. Teachers who have been more educated in this area may have a more positive outlook on inclusive education. Teachers need to provide their students with different learning ... This story took place in Philadelphia in 1793, when yellow fever just began to strike and kill thousands of people . Matilda Cook little Mattie is a daughter of a coffee shop owner. She s a fourteen year old girl who works for her widowed mother. She works with a girl named Polly and a kitchen cook Eliza, a woman from the Free African Society. Like Mattie, Anne lived in a frightful time of the World War II, when the Nazis killed many Jews, blaming that they were the reason why Germany was defeated in the World War I. Both Mattie and Anne had to leave their homes and hid somewhere else in order to survive. Both of them had to watch people die at very young ages. But they had one good thing in common. Mattie and Anne did not give up their hope and courage even in heartbreaking moments. They tried to look at the bright side when many people only saw the opposite. This book might have focused mainly on yellow fever and Mattie s survival at that time, but I think the change that occurred inside her was important, as well. I wasn t really a big fan of historical fictions because I didn t like reading books that looked like social studies textbooks. I especially didn t want to read this book because there was a huge 1793 written on the cover. But lots of people recommended this book to me and so I decided to give it a shot. After I read the first 2 chapters, I couldn t get my hands off of it. The story was fantastic and inspiring. I liked the way how the author included direct quotes from that time in every chapter, since it was fun trying to predict what would happen while reading them. I highly recommend this book to everyone around my age. By reading this book, they will also realize that historical novels are as good as fantasy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefore, I think we need to look at the properties for this type of SiC only. Before this, for choosing the value of CTE for SiC, I used the room temperature values declared on Table 3 of the 1997 publication by R.G. Munro, which is attached to this message. For room temperature the value 1.1 and for 500°C the value 4.4 is given. I noticed that for all other experimental CTEs as well as theoretical assumptions, I am using CTE values that are averaged between room temperature and elevated temperatures. Although government loans are for the most part not secured by physical assets, they are regarded in law as contracts carrying an obligation on the part of the debtor to repay. Nevertheless, governments, when hard pressed during economic crises or as a result of political upheavals, have sometimes repudiated their public debts in whole or in part. In many cases, also, a government to whom another is in debt may agree to forgive the debt or reschedule its payment over a longer period. History In earlier times debts contracted by heads of state had the legal status of personal debt; public debt emerged as a systematic element in a country s economy when regular sources of income became available to provide funds to repay loans, a monetary system became fully formed, and an organized money market came into operation. The first examples of public debt surfaced in the late 17th century in Europe and became more prevalent with the rise of the modern state and the banking and credit system that grew out of the Industrial Revolution. Today, the finances involved in contracting and redeeming the public debt of a country are a sizable proportion of its government budget. I chose this particular question because during my junior year I took and AP World History class in which we of course studied the worlds history. One on my favorite things that we studied in that class was ancient Empires. Mr. Herman, my AP teacher during that time, went through the Mesopotamian and Egyptian Empires rather too quickly for my tastes. Buck is described as an upstanding man and the whole community mourns him after he dies. Scotty, described as Buck s bosom friend, were very close, often jumping into fights to help the losing side, so he is distraught when Buck dies. Scotty goes to the local minister, who is an educated man from the east coast, to discuss Buck s funeral. However, the two can barely understand each other due to Buck s lack of education and his west coast slang. Twain doesn t seem to mock either Buck or the minister but uses their miscommunication to comedic effect.
