University of Utah Health Improving Depression Screening Rates in 11 Communit...University of Utah
Depression is one of those problems that is so big and so pervasive that tackling it seems impossible. This is why process improvement is so powerful: By setting one goal – improving depression screening rates – eleven U of U Health’s Community Clinics are making the impossible manageable.
Future of Healthcare Forum (Digital Health 2017) - Jacques OrcesOZ Digital Consulting
Dr. Jacques Orces, CMIO and Medical Director for Telemedicine, Miami Children’s Hospital spoke in-depth about telemedicine and how it will shape the future of healthcare.
Why Healthcare Service all over the world is failing to deliver quality care? The main reason is because there are too many people offering advice and treatment with no knowledge of how, why and what happens in our body. Prescribing drugs is not healthcare. Virtual NHS is a portal to help doctors to take control of their profession and offer the best service they promised to deliver.
I have been subjected to harassment, bullying, black mailed and threatened by nurses and their associates because I raised concern to help reduce wrong doings that went in in the NHS since 2003. Unfortunately, thousands of people who accessed healthcare in the NHS(UK) needlessly died. There must be thousands of people suffering complications.

As I said our budget is very limited, but those little things are important, bubbles, stickers, reward certificates and distraction tools are often purchased by myself or my colleagues, We recently acquired a stroller for our volunteers to save their backs when caring for children, giving parents a break. We also developed a paedaitric special pt folder, alerting our staff about children wit chronic illness or special health care needs to guide their careAn alert is placed on the child national index number
About 3 % of our paediatric presentations are resuscitations, so our staff don’t get a lot of exposure on an individual basis. I provide a 24 hour call back I live 3 minutes from the hospital, to assist, and support staff in these situations, Apart from ensuring my own exposure and learning , it allows me to support family presence as there is usually not enough hands, support our staff, allow them some time out if needed after it is all over, and to identify any equipment or training issues that may be useful. I try to follow up on cases and provide feedback to staf as to how children are doing.
