CONTROL NURSE)
 Monitors standards and procedures for the
control and prevention of infectious
diseases and other conditions of public
health significance including nosocomial
infections.
Function:
 Conducts epidemiologic investigations
 Provides education (communicable
diseases).
 Provides ongoing in-service training
 Recommendations on isolated infection
 Conducts study to determine risk fators
leading to infection
 Conducts surveillance of infecion

spend part of their working week in the

within a custodial setting, while
maintaining a secure and safe
environment.
 Improves health behavior, mental health
of prisoners which have a significant
impact on preventing re-offending.
