This document defines and provides examples of shapes and forms. Shapes are two-dimensional areas defined by outlines or boundaries that can be geometric like circles, squares and triangles or organic and free-form. Forms are three-dimensional objects or those that create the illusion of depth, and include basic forms like spheres, cubes, cones, pyramids and cylinders. Geometric shapes use mathematical equations while organic shapes are irregular, uneven and often inspired by nature.
