Max Conrad is proposing a senior project to design an original website for the Creekview Cross Country team or Architecture Club. He plans to learn HTML coding through online videos and guides to build the site, and work with Ms. Salas on graphics. This project will challenge Max's creativity and teach him new technical skills in website development, connecting it to a potential career in computer programming. The estimated costs of $13 for annual website hosting will be paid by Max, with the final product being a functional website to share information with the team or club.

returned to your senior English teacher by Friday, August 17, 2012. You will not be allowed to
change your topic after October 12, 2012.
The Senior Project is subject to the plagiarism policies set forth by the district and Creekview High

1) Describe the overall topic of your Senior Project.
I plan on designing an original website for my senior project.
2) What is your previous experience in this area of study?
I have little experience in this area of study. I have looked into doing something like this
before but I never spent much time with it. Due to the nature of making a website, my typing skills
can come in handy.
3) To what career will you connect this project (required)?
I will connect this career to computer programming.
4) Describe what you are proposing to do for your Product step-by-step and in detail. Write on the
back of this sheet if necessary.
I plan on making a website for either the Creekview Cross Country team or for the
Architecture Club. In order to do this I will have to learn how to code html and build up from there.
To learn how to do this I will firstly watch YouTube videos and read guides on the internet. After I
learn everything I need to know, I will start building the website. During the construction phase of
the website, I plan on working with Ms. Salas to help make stunning graphics. In the end I plan on
having a final product that will be able to display either the latest race scores or club announcements.
5) How is this project a “learning stretch” and a challenge for you?
This is a learning stretch for me because I don’t know how to make a website and it will
challenge my creativity to make visually friendly graphics.
6) What are your estimated costs for completing the Product, and how will you fund these costs?
My estimated cost for completing the product is thirteen dollars which will be the cost to make
the website global. The cost will be for one year and I plan on coordinating with either sports coaches
or my club teacher to be able to keep up the site after I am gone. I will be able to pay the initial
thirteen dollars out of my own pocket.
7) Who have you chosen (or are considering choosing) as your Project Facilitator?
I have chosen Ms. Salas as my Project Facilitator.
8) What is this person’s expertise in this field?
Ms. Salas has expertise in graphic design and if she will be my facilitator, I will have her help
me in the graphics portion of the website so that it will look professional and neat.
